    swinging

Dude... Swing dancing is awesome. I took lessons.
  2. This guy was outside the Albertson's at Lake Elsinore in 100 degree heat. We caught him by the beer cooler taking a break.
  3. Were you the one running around without brake lights?
  4. The 100 grand thing doesn't apply so much anymore. I'm an inspector for personal auto and do evaluations all the time. It's not unusual to see cars going 200k now days. Tolerances are tighter today then it was 15 years ago. Of course if the owner doesn't perform regular maintenance then that goes out the window. The quality of the manufacturer is also a big factor. I just did an eval on a 1989 towncar with 185k miles yesterday. Eval came back at $1800.
  5. Nah... Let just say it's just something a kid would have loved.
  6. So I started skydiving 2 years ago. I was physically unable to do so until that time. Always wanted to since i was about 10. After I saw the Skydiving stunts in the Bond movies I wanted to even more. The guy became one of my childhood heroes. I sent him an email a while ago. Today I received a gift that has so much value to me I feel like the most blessed man on earth. Something that money can't buy. I've never met him but the guy has made this a very memorable Christmas for me. I hope you all have a great Christmas. Ed
  7. Aubrey has a quick fall rate on his belly (140 I think) He isn't freeflying yet.
  8. It was gooooood! Big thanks to Skydive Elsinore for hosting this event. Special thanks to Mel, Lou And Erin for all the awesome coaching and jumps. Also thanks to all the camera flyers that helped make it happen. Hope we do this again soon. Ed
  9. Wear the suit. Make sure to wear it with a white shirt and tie. Iron/press everything and polish those shoes. Try to look your best, and be prepared on time with copies of your resume. Like was said, research the hospital and position that you are applying for and be polite during the interview. You would be an asset to the hospital, Arthur. Good luck!
  10. Dropzone.com Once again the one stop outlet for all your needs. lol
  11. How much you willing to spend? http://www.the-panhandler.com/skillets.html http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=976&item=6135783305&rd=1 And another. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=3631&item=6136244231&rd=1
  12. This actually happened severl years ago in San Diego. Afternoon newscast and there was high winds out near Alpine. Bree Walker was in the newsroom and the weather guy was live on the scene. Bree says "Did you get blown on the way there Bob?" LOL The radio stations had a field day with it the next morning.
  13. Man dude... You been in the women's forum again?
  14. Agreed. I've been as low as 8% body fat with 19 inch arms and it showed me as 27.5. I think it's just some wayward actuary insurance math. Pretty much... It's just a guideline like the old hieght and weight carts were. It does not take into account body composition.
  15. Thank you. Congrats to you also. I've been waiting a little longer than 15 years but I'm an old cat. I taped a segement on the Maury Povich Show last month about obesity. I'll let you know when it airs.
  16. 23 ... Me too. Pretty cool eh? No Lie.
  17. KODO is awesome. I saw them in Escondido last year. Let me know when they come back this way.

    Jeopardy

If I'm not mistaken you are incorrect. I could be wrong, but I believe the answer to that is H&R Block. I think it would be more correct than the IRS if the Subject was Companies and Corporations.
  19. I can tell you what's not cool. LOL http://www.kiddlywinks.com/IBS/SimpleCat/product/ASP/product-id/283.html I saw it at Big 5 the other day. It's on sale for $15. Man what a piece of crap. The decals that went on it were pretty cool tho.
  20. Surely some of the WWII drops have that beat. That's what I was thinking but it would have been static line and not considered freefall?
  21. I tried to lookup additional details. I found this about the Thailand Mass Freefall record. While in Thailand taking part in the country's Royal Sky Celebration in honor of Queen Sirikit, the World Team also set a new Guinness Book World Record for the largest mass freefall with 672 skydivers from 42 nations plummeting en masse into downtown Bangkok. What is the definition of a "Mass FreeFall". 672 jumpers in the air at once? Is there a limit on separation?
  22. Anyone have more info/details on this? I was looking at the Guinness website and came across it. Was there another type of record being attempted at the time? Largest Mass Parachute Jump On April 18, 2000, 588 military and civilian parachutists, between them representing five nations, parachuted from seven aircraft flying at 3,660 m (12,000 ft) over the Santa Cruz Air Base, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Thanks, Ed
  23. I almost fainted in 9th grade watching it on video. Plan parenthood came in to talk to us. So the normal stuff starts happening like the breathing and all that like you see in the movies. All of a sudden a flume of water shoots out from between her legs. Then all the other stuff is happening and a blue/gray baby comes out with stuff all over it. Not good. I was expecting the stuff you see in the movies I think. You know..the cleaner and not so graphic childbirth experience. LOL Man.. I stepped outside of class and had to get air. Whew... that's all I can say.
  24. and I came across this. Someone has to have come across this before. http://www.birdman.org/products/Nuke50.htm
