I know an operator at Verizon. She told me they can here the person on the other end while the "robot lady" is going on. I think this is for the directory tho. Anyway she claims they hear all kinds of swearing and stuff. Sometimes they are laughing so hard it's difficult to answer. lol

Crap.. These things are hit and miss with me. I can't see anything. What are the instructions for looking at these things again?

Hey Rosa. You look great in the tunnel. Really solid. I do float and really need to throw on some weight. I think it's a mental thing as far as the hesitation. Mel has jumped with me quite a bit and she's like "dude..you need weight." lol We are about to front load the tunnel time for 4 way training and I want to get the most out of it. I'll have Amy PM you tonight. Blues guys and thanks, Ed

Hm... Not sure how to really post this question. My tunnel experience has been hit and miss. The best days I've had is when the air was warm. When the air is cold it's the worst. I have been told a couple of things. 1. I should wear weights in the tunnel because I'm a bit floaty. 2. The crank the speed up when it's cold. The weights make sense. In freefall my range seems greater than it is in the tunnel when it is cold. I'm not sure if the cold is causing me to tense up or not. Can someone confirm that the speed has to be increased when it is cold? Also when wearing a weight belt in the tunnel how much weight to start with?

I'm not sure why but I can't stop laughing at this one. Pagan Bowling in Saratoga Description: Full Circle Events hosts Pagan Bowling Night at the AMF Saratoga Lanes in Saratoga. Meet at 8:30 so that bowling can begin at 9:00 PM. To reserve a lane and place a deposit, call the Saratoga Lanes 408- 252-2212 at least a week in advance. Tell them that you want to be near the folks at Full Circle and they'll put our lanes side by side. The Saratoga Lanes are located at Saratoga, near Prospect, just opposite the Westgate Mall. http://www.bapa.net/cgi-bin/calendar.pl?view=Event&event_id=47

Islandcool replied to ernokaikkonen's topic in Gear and Rigging
I'd love to learn more about my gear. Just like I'd love to learn more on just flying my canopy and such. I gotta admit I just don't make the time for it and I should. I had a rigger in San Diego named Martin. He was a great guy and great attention to detail. One of those guys that are never to busy to school you about the sport. Just before I moved I asked him if he could go over my gear with me and all the components when I had my next repack. I offered to pay him for his time. I was surpised when he said he would. He expressed there was no need to pay him and he was happy to show me. He said people don't usually ask but he was thrilled to show me. Well.. geeeez.. I really didn't expect that answer. lol I missed the opportunity because I moved. I haven't really developed a good relationship with any riggers since. I usually just drop the rig off for re-pack at the gear store and head out. Any info on any kind of formal training to get more info on my gear? -
Geeez... There's more than one DuffMan. Like Bozo the Clown, Ronald McDonald, or the 2 sheep dogs in those cartoons where a coyote that looks like Wile E. is trying to steal the sheep. C'mon man!

I grew up in Kona for 20 years. Hilo tsunami's were terrible things as most of them are. You would come across people that has family experience it. Old timers will still talk about it. Pretty heart wrenching stuff. They talked about people who went toward the bay as it was sucking dry to pick up fish that was left grounded. I'm not sure what goes thru peoples heads. I'm sure if they had never experienced it they would stand there in shock as what was going on. In kona everytime there was an earthquake somewhere on the pacific rim they would sound the tidal wave sirens and evacuate everyone to higher ground. The whole time I grew up there it was false alarms. I was a painter at an autobody shop. More than once the cops would be pounding on the door of the booth telling me to get the hell out. I was young and stupid at the time. An incident like this just shows me how stupid it was.

Most kids hate me. I was pretty heavy once and they were intimated by my size..probably my appearance also. New Years Eve... The only kid in the place and a sea of adults. This kid comes running up to me with 2 noisemakers and gives me one. I felt honored.

I was thinking about mesquite. The deal is that they are from Alaska and I'm not sure about travel and time constraints. I'll look into it. They won't be out till March.
