  1. I have an 11 year old german shepard mix who keeps forgetting she is old. Well actually she sleeps 20 hrs a day so those 4 hrs she is up she can keep up with the young'uns. We have been thinking of getting a young (1-2 years old) Belgin Malinios so Derek can have a jogging/mountian biking partner and I've been interested in agility every since I got Fox (she has no ball drive). I'd also like to add another senior to the mix, between the 2 seniors they should be able to tag team the youngster. Fly it like you stole it!
  2. Damn that back up dancer of hers is like rabbit, how many kids does he have now 7 or 8? Fly it like you stole it!
  3. What about ex-skydivers that are still riggers. That's gotta be right down there with algae....or fungus. I think that depends on if they pack for you (for free) or not. Hell, free repacks and shows up to the DZ to be your pack bitch. Damn X-skydiving riggers need to earn their keep. (fyi...I'm dating an x-skydiving rigger so I can say that) Fly it like you stole it!
  4. Damn I have good memories (well what I can remember) of that place. Fly it like you stole it!
  5. Change that to 17. Husky. Screw the lightbulb. If it's dark you can't see me chew the sofa, the table and the rug, escape out the window and eat next doors cat. By the time the Lab has it screwed in I'll be lying on the sofa all innocent Fly it like you stole it!
  6. Hooknswoop used ski goggles for doing tandems in the winter here in CO. I'm not sure where you are from since your profile isn't filled out, but unless there is snow on the ground I have a feeling that they will be to warm. Like someone else said the dropzone will provide goggles for you just be sure to tell them that you wear contacts. edit to add... I 2nd Flex-Zs they are the only ones that fit my small face. Just don't leave them in your car when it is over 100 degrees....they will melt. Fly it like you stole it!
  7. Ok, I can officially say do not bring my dog if you are going to do a winter accent of anything. She thought I was abusing her today when I made her go out in the snow. Fly it like you stole it!
  8. NOT April 15th. The firms drinks breakfast on the 15th for a warm up and then breaks out the grill for lunch. We may head out of town after that. Hehe...well ever since Derek's "people" started drinking with his guardian angel it's pretty much been mass chaos in the social life department. So I have no clue what is happening when anymore. 9. Pipper our bearded dragon did the same thing. For 3 months he didn't move from his hide then one day a few weeks ago he woke up and wanted food....NOW!!! Bad thing was we didn't have anything crickets, or greens or anything, so mad dash to the reptile store to keep him happy. Pic... Who's that sexy lizard? Fly it like you stole it!
  10. Of course we are on for dinner, but did you mean April 15th, cause I'd hate to have to wait till Aug to see you again. The new joke is that his "people" and his guardian angel are sitting back chain smoking and drinking double lattes. He is actually out rafting with Dave right now, but yesterday he was quite embarassed that I posted this.
  11. HAHAHHA.....That was funny when he did that. Luckly your average spectator can't just walk out to the runway like at the DZ. Fly it like you stole it!
  12. You know how a hot chick usually has a not-so-hot/fat friend around to make her feel better about herself? I guess that is what that 2nd pic is about for the girl on the Rt. Oh my god....that was my 1st thought when I saw the picture. Fly it like you stole it!
  13. No problem, Hooknswoop is being totally shy about this. He probably wouldn't have even told me if we hadn't seen him on the news last night.

    Toilet Seat

This was on mythbusters and the myth was well not really sure if you could say busted or not. They did a month long study with over twenty toothbrushes around the bathroom and two a few rooms away covered with a dish. Everyday they got the toothbrushes wet and applied toothpaste. At the end of the month they found that every toothbrush, even the ones rooms away, had developed the bacteria. They result that the poo bacteria is everywhere and there is nothing we can do to stop it. Episode: 12: Break Step Bridge, Toothbrush Surprise, Rowing Water Skier Will the athletes of Stanford University's varsity rowing team be strong enough to pull Jamie up on water skis behind a fragile eight—person shell? Sounds like an excuse for a dip, no? Jamie and Adam move on to a myth with more legs when they take a stroll across a bridge to see if the rhythm of soldiers marching together can cause a bridge to collapse. Finally, watch where you put your toothbrush — the guys will attempt to learn if the bacteria from a toilet will settle in their toothbrushes. How did the toothbrushes get in the toilet again? Gas Prices?

This you can do to save gas. 1) When going to shopping strip park in the middle that way you can walk to all the stores you want to hit without having to drive around the parking lot. 2) Plan your errands wisely, if possible plan them in a loop so you don't have to go back past one of the places you have already been. 3) Bike or walk to run errands on weekends, a good sized backpack can easily hold 2-3 days worth of groceries. 4) Run errands on the way home from work, this will prevent getting home and then having to go out again. 5) Then of course the normal ones, mass transit, car pool, ect... Toilet Seat

Same here for us, except that it's the cat that thinks it's a new water dish. The dog is smart enough to know better. Fly it like you stole it!
  18. A rigger actually need a lot more information especially if he is going to provide additional services for his customers such as Service Bulitin notifications. I built Derek an entire database for his customer information so we don't need any new software or the website, but for individual riggers and small lofts I could see the benefit. I agree for the jumper outlook works great, but for a loft they need more functionality. Fly it like you stole it!
  19. Well I don't know how many of you were in Eloy for the 2nd annual holiday boogie, but if you were you may remember the Skymonkey One First Responders. Well one of them proved again that when someone is in need he will be there to aid. Yesterday at the airport Derek works at a plane pancaked in and exploded with a huge fireball. He hauled ass out to the crash site and was the first on scene. He assumed the guy was dead until he saw him crawling out of the wreckage, immediately started heading into the fire to help pull the guy out. Luckily the guy managed to get himself far enough out that the worst that happened to Derek was some singed arm hair. Some point after Derek had him laid down and was aiding him the fire department and paramedics arrived. He assisted the paramedics and helped load the pilot on to life flight. He actually did a lot more but this is all I feel comfortable relaying. Baby I’m so proud of you, you never cease to amaze me. http://www.denverpost.com/Stories/0,1413,36~53~2804073,00.html http://rockymountainnews.com/drmn/local/article/0,1299,DRMN_15_3684642,00.html Fiery landing injures pilot Man, 78, crawls from burning wreckage of plane crash in Jeffco By Brian D. Crecente And Gabrielle Johnston, Rocky Mountain News April 8, 2005 A 78-year-old man crawled from the burning wreckage of his single-engine plane Thursday after it crashed on a Jefferson County Airport runway. The man, whose injuries included second-degree burns, was in stable condition at University Hospital, said Wendy Krajewski, a spokeswoman for North Metro Fire Rescue. He was the only person aboard the plane. The man's name was not released. The plane was cleared by the tower for landing and was coming in when it hit the ground between two runways, said Aaron Sauer, an air safety investigator with the National Transportation Safety Board. The pilot managed to crawl through wreckage and flames and was sitting next to the Piper Lance when firefighters arrived, Krajewski said. Although his injuries were serious, the man was talking with paramedics, she said. "He was severely injured, and he had to be choppered out," Krajewski added. Several customers were sitting on the balcony of the airport's Runway Grill when the plane went down about 12:30 p.m. Drew Lent was waiting on tables when he heard the crash. When he and the others looked up, Lent said, there was "a huge ball of fire. Instantaneously, it was just fire and smoke." Inspectors didn't know Thursday what may have caused the crash. There were no other planes in the area at the time and no distress call from the pilot, Sauer said. He said the blackened remains of the plane, which was owned by the Ten Hi Flyer club in Lakewood, and debris found near the crash would be taken to Greeley for inspection. "The main landing gear tire had separated and was next to the plane," Sauer said. "There were some small fragments scattered along the runway." Fly it like you stole it!
  20. I'm definately no expert, and a lot of the information is out there you just have to go and look for it.
  21. I was searching for dog packs, and found this website where they are selling dog toys in support of breast cancer and prostate cancer. Since there are so many animal lovers on this site I figured I would share. http://www.planetdog.com/ Fly it like you stole it!
  22. actually you are almost the universal receiver. You can take blood from anyone who is O-, A-, B-, or AB-. Us O-s are the ones who need to hope we never need blood cause we can only get blood from other O-s.
  23. Oh foxy has one of those, of course now she is a little to old to use it. Fly it like you stole it!
