  1. Hey now your's were the ones that got 18.4 I'm sure spinmaster would much rather see them. I mean I've seen them and they are quite impressive, especially since they are real..
  2. not unless you were driving and you jumped it across a gap in the freeway.....you know like they really did in Speed....
  3. BWAHAHAHAHAAHAHA hahahahahahhaha hahahahahahhahahahah...... Oh I just can't stop laughing at that one.
  4. ok darlin...I'll show them to you....... ........as soon as I see you flying the plane
  5. Girl you just gotta go and do it, I was standing up in the otter up at the front by one of the arizona pilots getting my stuff squared away when he turned around with this totally disappointed look on his face. I actually felt bad for not unzipping my jump suit and showing him my girls.
  6. Ok, I'm still a boobies for altitude virgin, the one time I was going to do it the pilot said there is alot of traffic so we will be doing a go around, ended up getting 16 anyway. So the question is.....who has gotten the most altitude? Kelli
  7. well you see....pookie bear cut in line, and well it's not like I can tell him to get out of line especially since we want to jump the 60!!!!! I'll be sure to start the beatings next time I'm out at the DZ and you can be first in line
  8. yeah....come on let us jump it, you know how windy it is in Dallas and you were just saying that air speed is your friend in turbulance. Kelli
  9. Depending on when, that sounds like fun. you just have to give me till May when it gets warm so I can have Big Kirk sign me off. Definately keep me informed
  10. Hey Slappie, Labor Day weekend is CouchFreaks and I think the Richmond boogie. I know a big group from Houston and Dallas usually do couch. I know I'll be in Iowa at Couch. Kelli
  11. Since I doubt Derek reads this forum, I'll answer this for him. This rig is solid, basically as solid as the mirage (my rig) we have done tons of comparing of the 2. He jumps the 304 which is the smallest one they make, and I jump an MXS which is the second smallest mirage. Anyway it's easy to compare them to eachother. Riser covers are excellent he has never had anything come undone in freefall, I find them kind of a pain to pack though cause of the way the secondary riser covers work. Also on his I think the main pin cover is to narrow, it leaves you with out any place to put the excess bridal that is above the pin. On my mirage it's about twice as wide and just lays on the top flap under the pin flap without sticking out where his sticks out if you don't stuff it back under the outside flap. (Ok this is really hard to explain) This could only be an issues cause the container is so small. He is also a rigger, so I've seen the inside of both of them the reserve are done basicaly the same. The micron though does not have mesh on the pilotchute. Also you will want to find a rigger how knows how to pack them, cause I've seen alot of vectors and mirages where the top reserve flap kind of sticks up so the reserve pin cover flap doesn't lay flat but actually bends down to fit into the pocket on the mirage or to fold under on the micron. (this really is just cosmetic but I'm a chick and into that kind of stuff) For freeflying it is definately one of the best. I was debating between the 2 but ended up going with the mirage cause it was prettier. Kelli
  12. Also read this thread from swooping and canopy control. here
  13. I have to dissagree with you. I have jumped the orange plastic tube and did not like it at all. I couldn't get as good of a grip and it was actually a little harder to pull on. With the hacky and monkey fist I've found it is very easy to get a firm grip on it even when my fingers were numb from the cold. Also, I've never had either of them slip in my hand. That is just my personal opinion. Kelli
  14. I know this varies by canopy, but on my crossfire loaded 1.3:1 it is definately rear risers. Only time I float in brakes is if my arms get tired.
  15. Hey I know that place, except it's in Iowa and they call it Couch Freaks and the beer truck is there 24/7.

    Future

Hey now it's all fun and games until somebody pokes an eye out.
  19. Hmmm....guess that would mean I had a 1:1:2 weekend... Saturday was beautiful here in Houston, went flying in South Houston flew near Spaceland saw canopies out (We were plenty far away no threat to the jumpers). Lets see as for owing beer. First jump out of a Piper Cub, First jump into that private air field. Also got to see an RV-4 at that airfield putting on a mini air show. I can't wait the next time I'm out there I'm suppose to get a ride in that plane.(to bad you can't jump out of it.) Kelli
  20. Hey now....shut up over there....that was my whole plan now that my pookie bear is posting. So just forget what you said, walk away slowly and no one will get hurt

    bummer

Damn I think something is in the air. A guy at Spaceland was lifeflighted out this morning for toggle hooking to low. Let me add, that is the report I got, he could have just made a toggle turn to low, with the same out come. Still bad juju for the weekend
