Hmmmm....kind of like in 4-way where they are to busy watching videos to pay attention to anything else. At least there isn't a 5th person who is tied down to the chair being forced to watch.

Yep I live in spring, which is in North Houston and it takes me like 20 min (used to be 45) to get to the airport via the hardy toll road, now that they built the new little toll road that goes from hardy and bascially drops you off in front of the airport life is sweet for the quick weekend trips out of town. Actually it kind of sucks since I can work until 4 (no more sneaking out at 3) and still make a 6:30 flight, or could anyway before 9-11.

Don't worry girl, I'm pretty sure we haven't met, the few times I've been up there the weather has been crap, or it was TSL and I was busy trying to keep the boy happy..... Damn boys

Out at the old Skydive USA, San Marcos, and Elsinore we did it the opposite way, everyone gets out and tracks perpendicular to jump run then at about 7 turn 90 up the line of flight. Never had any trouble getting back on any of those jumps and the other jumpers were not an issues. Well that's not true at Elsinore this guy who was out behind us desided to try and follow us, but not having been part of the dirt dive or breifing didn't know how break off or anything else went and snivled past me when I was under canopy, but that is a different story. Needless to say he got a HUGE butt chewing from one of the psyco cirkus guys. I think it depends on the LO with things like that. Cause you do have to take into account who else is on the plane. btw....wingsuit jumpers I still think are a different issues from your normal tracking dive.

I think it has something to do with how slow they fall and the fact that they should be tracking, in this case down the line of flight or perpendicular to it. With the wing suit fliers I'm not worried about them as long as they don't fly up the line of flight, or down the line of flight if they are out last. I have seen it where they get out last, especially when they want to see how far they can track and if they can make it back to the DZ. It also maybe cause these are kind of smaller 1 otter DZs and it is easier to work out things with the pilot depending on what you are doing. Although I'm almost possitive that wingsuits got out first at CouchFreaks, and that was out of skydive AZ planes. Trust me though I'm not going to second guess anyone on where the wingsuits boys get out. As long as they know where they shouldn't fly, they shouldn't be an issues.

been there done that, burned the wedding dress...... Actually my Dad taught me how to change the oil...his rules for getting a drivers license were being able to change the oil and a tire. Both have come in quite handy.

Actually what would be cool is if he can do that with just an RW suit, put him in a wing suit and see what he can do.

it went great....the tube did cause A LOT of drag though put him more head down than not. He did tons of planning on the ground on how to cut away and what to cutaway before he deployed his main. It ended up working out quite nicely, Perry had no problem staying with him so the video turned out nice. Kelli

Actually when I was at Skydive Dallas the last time, the wingsuit guys got out first. I'm not sure if that was the norm or if it was cause the one guy was also jumping a tube with his wing suit.

Oh another thing is know your own gear, a rigger should have no problem letting you watch what they are doing as long as you don't touch anythnig. I do this every chance I can if possible. Check out the manufacturers web page, read everything you can about that type of rig, including the reserve packing instructions. Bring the rig manual with you, the rigger probably already has one, but something might have changed or been updated. Check the web page for service bullitins, that way you can ask the right questions of yoru rigger, such as, has SB 1001 been complied with? Also, don't be scared to ask questions, such as if you have a vector II and freefly is there anything that can be done to keep the main flap shut, or how to check for wear on your gear. I know it wasn't until I started dating a rigger that I learned anything about my gear, and I know alot of people still don't know anything about their gear other than that they need to take it to a rigger ever 4 months.
