  1. They take you to 12.5K AGL so you are really like 17.5K ASL or some where in there, it says O2 is available on the plane and you know my sea level loving ass will be using it.
  2. Ok I hate doing this, but someone has to live in CO. *bump*
  3. Yep if he posts pics I have UG# 7 sitting right here on my desk waiting for him. Thinking of UG#s weren't slappie and zennie suppose to come out and jump in drag to get their numbers?
  4. Yep that's the DZO's dog, there is also a cat that walks around and owns any lap it can find. Unfortunately the no dog rule is one of the reasons I don't go out there more. I hate leaving Fox at a Kennel and although I have lots of friends who love to babysit her I feel bad asking them, so we just stay home.
  5. I was wondering if anyone jumps or has jumped at any of the Colorado DZs? Especially Mile-High Skydiving Center, since it's only about 12 miles from my corporate office, and I'd like to get some jumps in when I'm out visiting. Kelli

Ahhhh Rick, corrupting girl for the last 20 years. I still remember 2 in the afternoon plane is broken down, and Rick and Jane are teaching me how to do body shots. Btw...I had only come out to do a tandem that day...guess I was a natural skydiver from the start.

ummm...the pickings are probably pretty slim since I actually behaved when I was out at spaceland, but that was cause I was usually having to babysit your little butt.

Well I heard this rumor going around about sweet little TequilaGirl that she was harmful, so I thought I would pose the question to the general public. What do you think, sweet innocent and harmless, or harmful as can be and is plotting to bring you all down. TequilaGirl - Harmless or Harmfull Harmless Harmful
  15. ok, maybe I'm on drugs here, but I don't know about you guys, but I think I would notice a packing weight in my main tray, you know like when I go to put the main in. Ok if I managed it, I think I would notice an extra say 10 lbs on my back, the damn thing is heavy enough the way it is.
  16. The trick I used on my reflex to keep the main pin cover from opening while in a sit was to tuck the "shark fin" under only the 2 side flaps not all 3 flaps. It never came un-tucked in freefall that way. On the other hand, I couldn't get pin checks in the plane because the person who checked it would always put it under all 3 flaps instead of just the 2.
  17. I have a 104 at 1.2-1.3:1 WL. It sounds like a pretty normal opening to me, on heading first stage, searching second stage which I harness steer threw, to usually a slight off heading opening which I use rear risers to correct. That is for a normal belly to earth openings. What I do to get perfectly on heading openings for big ways when dumping low...I dump in a full out track. The best openings I've had have been from opening in a track. The canopy opens soft enough that the speed isn't an issues, and for some reason it's always on heading, but I do sit there ready on the rear risers just in case. fyi...my canopy was not on the recall list and was built after all of that stuff happened so the line trim hasn't been modified.
  18. For me it takes about 2 jumps to get a feel for a canopy, and another 3 or 4 to decide if I really don't like it. Now to decide if it is what I want....hmmmm....I'd say 10 to 15 jumps in various conditions from no wind to high winds, maybe some turbulance thrown in for handling. There are lots of different kinds of canopies out there, so if you really don't like the one you have and have the ability to demo different things I'd say do it. I know you are a conservative pilot, so might want to try a sabre II, or if you want to stay elliptical you might want to try the cobalt, I have a feeling though you wouldn't like the way the crossfire flares.
  19. I've done 3 raft jumps with no issues, and we got out of the raft at like 6K so my audible wasn't affected at all. I did make sure to look at the anchor's altimeters and tried to keep my one hand with the alti in the air stream. Same issues for the cypress, we got out of the raft long before firing altitude.
  20. To late I read it, our favorite MT jokes usually had to do with sheep and velcro gloves. BTW...you might want to send clay a pair....
  21. Hey maybe it is for after hours DZ extreme activities like creeper bungie.
  22. Tequila Girl and I are both planning on doing it.
  23. Hmmm....I better make sure Derek brings the gun to protect us in Eloy.....Clay might go into heat and start howling at the moon, cause I doubt there are many sheep around there.
  24. luckly it's longer than your sheep keep you.
