  1. Tunaplanet, I got the same message from Pat Roberson the other day and you know he gets it straight from God, shucks he even threw in a few hellfires and damnations for those states that didn't support Bush. I have it on good authority that us liberal bastards are leading this country into sin. blue skies jerry
  2. I liked the part about people takeing their SS and makeing their own 401k nest egg. (think Neil Bush, Ken Lay, and watch the nest egg go away) It never ceases to amaze me what the gang of A$$holes from Texas try to pull, I guess the part I don't like is them turning american blood into money. And oh yes getting OBL, well you know not worth a dime. blues jerry
  3. hop n pop STRIGHT TO HELL you gotta love it. blues jerry
  4. Four more years of this guy? god help us. blues jerry
  5. DGIT=dead guy in training blues jerry
  6. well look out your window it is indeed sunny outside for the first time in about a month. It would be a good day to hang in Portlands liveing room. blues jerry
  7. John now that your boy Dubya is in office why doesn't he throw out some of those gun laws that don't work? For example the assault rifle ban? I know a lot of people who voted for Bush just because they were afraid they would lose their right to own firearms if they didn't. Personally I think if anyone was going to try and disarm the american people, Bush would be the first guy to come to mind. Don't get me wrong, I've got my share of stacks of american hunter just like the next guy, but I don't follow the political stuff anymore, blues jerry
  8. Here's my 100 jump wonder opinion. Most folks start out on big 9 cell student canopys. At my DZ when you have shown good canopy control skills you will be invited to try a smaller canopy. The smaller Triatlon canopys are also the regular rental canopys at my DZ. I've got a couple of dozen jumps 220-190 TRI canopys, for this I am thankful because if I ever need to use my reserve I won't be surprised landing a 7 cell canopy. Your results may vary. blues jerry
  9. I would go with 0 also. blues jerry
  10. Gravitymaster, I agree, Clark unlike Bush has no plans to live on mars or visit Uranus. blues jerry
  11. I voted no as far as I can tell all Bush wants to do for Oregon is cut down all the trees and than move to Mars. blues jerry
  12. Yeah, and in the mean time Dubya.s bringing oasama bin ladin to justice and making him pay for 9/11. Oh wait, I almost forgot, screw oasama there's no oil in Affganastan, sorry my bad. How many troops have died since the end of major combat? blues jerry --------------------------------------------------------------- The one thing I truly enjoy about the righty's is watching them swing on Dubya's Dick
  13. USPA members can always go to non-uspa DZs but non-uspa jumper are not always welcome at uspa DZs. Personally I like a DZ that follows the USPA BSR's. but thats just me. blues jerry
  14. If you look at it that way I have to agree. I guess what I can't get my head around is the 6-10 months to downsize. I did all my downsizeing as a student and have been jumping my current w/l from jump no 24. At my DZ by the time you finsh your aff you have a pretty good idea what canopy you can handle. The SA&T makes the call on who can fly what as a student. blues jerry
  15. First of all, there are other modern countries with higher murder rates than the U.S., such as Russia, Brazil and Northern Ireland. The U.S. is not the worst. However, it's not good either. I attribute it to several things. The most significant of which is simply our culture. We're raised to be aggressive, and possess the freedom to run amok if we want to. Did you notice the character of all those video games for children that were being advertised for xmas? Yep, they're mostly all games where you use guns to shoot things. This is how we're raising our kids! And then we wonder why they grow up to think it's okay to shoot people? Part of it is also demographics. It's a documented fact that the denser the population, the higher the crime rate. And America, because of its huge size, has 42 cities with over one-million population. This crime concentration drives our rates up, compared to smaller countries without this magnitude of large population centers. But culture is the big one. We've got to quit blaming everything else, and accept the fact that we breed violence. It's painful to think of ourselves that way, but as long as we bury our heads in the sand and ignore this fact, we're doomed to continue. It's too easy to blame something else... Hold people responsible for their own actions, and quit making excuses! Thank for throwing that out there John, and all this time I thought it was gun control laws that don' work! blues jerry
  16. where I buy my gear i got a new pd reserve and cipers for 2.000 I dont think it a good deal. maybe if you plan to swoop and down size fast, no even than its not a good deal. I'm sure someone a lot more in the know than i am will come along. IMO its not a good deal. blues jerry

  18. Pardon me, I don't know any Law abiding citizens who have not been able to own any firearm they chose. Preventive laws don't affect law abiding citizens either. blues jerry
  19. Excuse me I'm not aware of any law that can prevent a murder or other act of violence. blues jerry
  20. Ok my point is: even if the law keeps guns away from even one felon it works whether they murder anybody or not. blues jerry
  21. Take away all the laws on the books now and work it out for yourself. one example: take away the back ground check for buying a fire arm last year, and I grantee you x number of felons would be walking around with firearms today. blues jerry Why do you keep posting this garbage?
