  1. Then that would include employers paying a part. I would as long as it is run like every other Govt program so far. Frances system has been running a deficit for 20+ years AND they have been limiting services AND raising costs with no end in sight. IMO, starting a program that we pretty much know is going to create a deficit and not actually solve the problem just so we can do something is a bad move. Rushing it just to look like we are doing something is a bad move. "Never confuse movement with action" -- Hemingway Yet if you don't pay attention to it, you will get whatever they provide... you may get it anyway. 2. Then you cover them for other things. You said in this thread already that you DO offer it to your staff... that it is expensive and they don't take it. Except that I did in fact serve in the Army Infantry. We know, you want the taxpayers to pay for the things YOU want for your employees but do not wish to provide for your employees yourself. 3. Why is it the Govt's? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  4. It *IS* a DZ that a part owner (from what I have been told) and the manager claim that HC should be provided, but he does not provide it to his employees. And that makes it OK? He could be the first to start a new paradigm.... A long time ago DZ's didn't drug test staff... Yet I have taken drug tests for Zhill's. I don't think I have attacked him... But even you must admit that a person who spouts HC reform being needed and demanding it while at the same time not providing it to his own employees is a bit hypocritical. Yes, I am sure he has his reasons (probably good ones)... And personally I think TK is a good guy, really. But he is a very vocal proponent of HC being provided... Yet he has the ability to provide it and he does not provide it. It reads as: "I am fine writing a check from YOUR checkbook, but not from mine." 5. In your opinion... This current administration and several military leaders do not agree with that opinion. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  6. You say that having never carried a rifle in defense of something. They do have a terrible side, but you ignore the TACTICAL advantage they can have in limited areas... such as the DMZ. None according to most reports. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  7. Worth repeating for those that claim it will not happen under the new program and claim no one is suggesting it. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  8. "Start a new thread" is the best you can do? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  9. I got it... You can't answer. But my question is valid since THIS thread is called "How will the HC bill same money." You did know that this thread was called that right? Don't blame me for your inability to answer a simple question. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  10. Show one Govt program that was run BETTER after the Govt took over. Doing nothing is better than doing the wrong thing just to feel good about doing something. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  11. I think fair may not be the right word... We all know very few things in life are fair. I am reminded of a situation years ago when I used to do martial arts. One of the red belts who was overweight had tested for his black belt. The chief instructor pulled him into his office and handed him a belt that was much too small for him to actually wear. The student informed the instructor and the instructor simply said, "When you can wear it, you may wear it." Seemed really harsh to me at the time, but that guy went on a mission to lose weight. And he did finally manage to tie the belt and walk out onto the floor with it. The thing is they guy *could* have gone on a weight loss program at any time in his life... But he never did. It took that one event to make him do it...And he is better for it. So the question is do you think that a College is supposed to just crank out academics, or is it supposed to create a person who is well rounded? I remember having to take a human nutrition class in College even though it had nothing to do with my degree. In the end, I don't really have a problem with a University having requirements... I think the BMI is a bit limiting since I also would fail a BMI test, but I don't think anyone that knows me would call me overweight. 12. This part I agree with 100% It is not my job to tell someone they are wrong.... I am not religious, but it always amazes me that those that claim to know and love God somehow think he will not punish those he deems unworthy. I say if you are religious then you should not worry... god will handle it. I am amazed that people who are gay claim to be Christian.... But I guess I should not be since people who cheat on their wives, people who steal, people who kill all also claim to be Christian.... And that folks is why I am not a Christian.... I can't stand hypocrisy. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  13. There is not a more effective method to prevent people from going into an area. It is cheap and does not require personnel to sit and watch. The benefit is that they can be set and left ignored... The DMZ is one example where they do fill a need. The detractor is that they are indiscriminate killers... and as someone already mentioned that they will kill you as easily as the other guy. Also, they last a long time and keep killing long after the war. Modern techniques do not supersede them, they still can fill a tactical need. But the US has realized that they are not perfect and we pretty much would like to never have to use them. And we have made them since as late as 2002.. Read up on the M2/M3/M4 SLAM. http://atk.mediaroom.com/index.php?s=118&item=306 But the newer models tend to have a self neutralization program. But much more likely is that the Us is not going to give them up until China and Russia agree to give theirs up as well..... It is most likely just a poker game being played. 14. According to Gallup's data, 87% of people with private insurance and say that the quality of their health care is excellent or good. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  15. We are still waiting for you to provide a transcript of your last claim. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  16. I am reading what you write, and from what you write it is clear you don't know the issue and your example proves that. Again you state people should give up principles when it is politically beneficial. Some principles you must have if you throw them out when it will get you power or money. You advocate it... That makes you a person with principles for sale to the highest bidder. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  17. I used 200/mth in the example since the polices we looked at were 149/160/180/mth. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Keep scrolling and quit acting like you are the big man on campus. You jump others so this is clearly a case of you think what YOU do is fine and the rest are out of line. You are the one crying about how I correctly quote material... Not me. You are the one that always starts the little BS... Not me. I don't have PM's blocked from you. Don't blame ME for YOUR errors. Even though this is the first I have been involved with this... If you think it didn't play a part you are clearly blind. WAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH At least I can spell THE All I have acknowledged is that you have become irrelevant a LONE time ago... Like the insane man on the corner yelling and insulting people that disagree with his crazy rants. 21. And you sound just like a liar...... "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  22. Name one that runs well and is not a gigantic drain on the budget. That is a part of what the card issue is.... Again, I don't think you know what this issue is at all. Again, you show you have no idea what this issue really is.... This example of yours just proves it. The card issue is that the Unions are trying to change how Unions can form. Currently the Union has to get a majority of workers to sign a card and then the Company has the right to waive the election.. If not, then the employees are given an election by secret ballot. This law REMOVES the right for the workers to have a vote if greater than 50% sign cards and just grants the Union. There are SEVERAL issues with that process. Again, you clearly do not understand the issue you are defending. You think Saddam killing his own people and ignoring sanctions and supporting terrorism (He was offering money to the families of suicide bombers) was a GOOD thing? Again Bull Shit. That's just what YOU think. So you DO suggest giving up on your principles when it suits you. Its not called learning or growing when your stated goal is "To win elections"...... 23. Simple... you made statements.. Now back them up or admit you are a liar. Not that hard to grasp. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  24. OK how about an equally stupid slam on the left now? Maybe if some left wingers actually had a job they would understand mistakes happen. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  25. You said he was inciting riots.... Just admit you can't prove it and were either: A: Lying. B: Exaggerating wildly. Or provide some evidence that supports your claim. Not difficult Quade. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
