She said several people...And it was only one. You can't just admit you are wrong can you? This nation was founded based on religious freedom. The laws were based on religion. Every document up to the Constituition references God...Including the Declaration of Independance (The start of the country) and the Articles of Confederation: (The first Constitution). I agree with seperating church and state...In fact Im not religious. But you would have to be stupid or blind to not see that it was founded on religion. And thats all I every tried to point out. I could not care to be honest, but you would have to be stupid or just blind to not see how it was founded on religion. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

And all this you still miss the FACT that religion was the reason for the founding of the country. And that it was started based on it. Are you blind? You can't read where it was written? And for tehe record...Im not a Christain. But I can see how this country was founded on religion. Don't be blind. John...Im not saying that it has been seperated...Or atleast tried. Im saying IT WAS founded on religion. And it was.. The Mayflower Compact proves that...The Declaration of Independance proves that, the Articles of Confederation show that. Can you atleast admit it WAS FOUNDED with religion. I will admit that we have tried to run it without... But can you atleast admit it WAS FOUNDED based on religion? Hell I have shown you proof. Huh, A TREATY to ensure peace, or the Mayflower Compact, Declaration of Independance, and the first Constitution (Articles of Confederation). I'll go with the MC, D of I, and the First Constitiution. Over a trading treaty. BTW the "Receipt" from Tripoli: Funny huh? Oh yeah... It was only signed by David Humphreys. It was APROVED by the senate, and it was later signed by John Addams...So it was only signed by ONE guy that signed the constitution. That was not hard was it? When my March of Dimes thing is done...This is becoming my new sig line. I think the move up rule is a throw back to before the Advanced class existed. The problem back then was Really good weekend teams had to make a choice if they were going to win what was then Advanced (Like Inter today) or go big and compete in open. 1998 Zspot won with an 11.0. Open was won by Airspeed with a 21.3 2003 an 11.0 would get you 15th however 21.3 won Open. So the "weekend" teams got better. The USPA saw this and thought it was unfair for "weekend" teams to have to fight Airspeed. So The Compition Commitee (With a great push from Danny Page) created the new Advanced rules...It was a playground for good weekend teams to beat the hell out each other, and still get medals. While letting Airspeed, knights, and Majic race to be the US team. It also let the Intermediate class be for newer teams. However, they kept the move up rule. But they allow people to move down. If they got rid of the move up rule...I would not mind PC teams with Open Bronze and Silver medalists...But to allow Open class competitors to compete in Advanced, but make true weekend warriors move up to Open is nuts. The people who lobbied for PC teams were the player coaches. They want money..I can't blame them, but the USPA has a really stupid view of Advanced class winners. They make it seem like they are better than everyone but the winners in open. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

I have only seen one student do a good backflip...I was shocked. But you are right it is done to teach them how to recover from unusual attitudes. During my FFA check ride, my examiner rolled the plane upside down while I was under foggles and gave it to me. Not legal, but it was fun. 9/11: I was in a military school. The Cadre popped on the bus and told us that the first plane had hit the WTC. We didn't believe him since this school is famous for having tons of BS in it. They told us it was not BS, but we really didn't believe them. Then the second plane hit, and they took us in to watch CNN. Challenger Explosion: I was in the 7th grade...PE. Living in Tampa we used to watch them....I saw it explode. Columbia disaster: I was laying on the couch with my GF...We were going to go skydiving , but just ended up laying together on the sofa watching the re-entry. When they said they had lost contact and it had been gone for over a min. I turned to her and told her that the shuttle was gone. She asked how I knew, I told her that the shuttle can lose contact durring re-entry, but it can't abort that late, and it HAS to land since it can't power up and fly around...It was a minute late to landing...It was gone. No, you don't get it. The Presidents job is not to fly a fighter jet, pull a trigger ect. If he had to order people to look into that situation...Then the WHOLE system is fucked up. Which BTW he didn't have to order people...The National Security Systemdoes not wait for the "Go ahead" from the CiC before they start looking into ANYTHING. What you think someone would not interrupt him if they had something to tell him? Then why did they interrupt him to tell him about the situation at all? You think they had more information, but didn't want to tell him? You think that if they had more information they would have withheld it, or not bothered to pull the President out if they could not tell him in there? Come to what we call the "real world". They told him what they knew. He knew that there was nothing he could have done at that second, and he knew that they would give him more info when they had it, and he also knew he was not going to have to beg for the information once they had it. So what the hell could he have done? You already admitted he could do nothing that was not already being done. Its also not they guys job to freak out on TV and order a Nuclear attack without any good information. It is his job to project a cool image under fire, and not break out into hysterics. It is his job to THINK before he reacts. And he did just that, and he did it better than anyone else I could imagine. Again you show how you know nothing about tactics or operations. If under DIRECT fire you: 1. Move and get cover. 2. Identify the target and return fire. You don't just start pulling a trigger at the first round that comes your way. 3. Communicate the threat. 4. Decide if you can contain the threat..If you can you try to gain fire superiority, maneuver and eliminate the enemy...If you can't you provide cover fire and try to retreat. If you get a radio call about a threat 1,000 miles away you don't freak out and start shooting. You wait for better intel. He could have done NOTHING. He had to wait for better intel, which you yourself said was working without his asking. He stayed calm WHICH IS HIS JOB. He didnt react before he knew the threat WHICH IS HIS JOB. And when he got better intel...He declared war on Terror... And all you can do is bitch about him. You know NOTHING about how the military operates. You know NOTHING about how the chain of command works. You know NOTHING about the job of the President in relation to War. To think that he could have done anything is stupid. To blame him for not freaking out is stupid. And it just shows your hatred of him...That you just go around looking to bitch about something... In this case he did things right, and you just don't understand why it's right. Maybe next time you should rent "Navy SEALS" instead of "Delta Force" You need to expand your knowledge of how things like this work. Bill.. It is to teach them to regain stability. I personally can't think of a better way to make them learn that they can get stable after a funnel or flip. As for the blindfold thing...I like it...But there is no way you caould make that a part of the program. I have students do this in the tunnel and it really freaks them out. Freaks me out as well to be honest. Can you think of a better way to make a student unstable and make them regain it? Like it or not this Nation was founded on religion....It's main principals are based on religion. Lieberman didn't have a chance since he was Jewish. Politics and religion are very connected. The cool thing is we don't use one to step on another. But I do like how since you lefties can't defend against that letter...You instead take one sentance out of it and try to discredit the whole thing. Really bad form. You only feel that way cause its Anti Kerry. If it were Anti Bush you would have posted it. And this is a thread about Kerry and his lies...Not Bush/Thacker or anyone else.... Its a thread about how BS Kerry's record is... but a nice red herring. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Not to me. My issue is simple....The surrent USPA rules say you, me, Carlos Curti, Niklas Gummeson, Alex Pincus, Gurt Gaebel....Basicly anyone who has ever won a Gold medal in Advance is to good to stay in Advanced... But they will let Chris Irwin, Hammo, Ian Bobo, David VanG, Kyle Collins or anyone that has medaled in OPEN (other than Gold) to compete in Advanced. So ask yourself this question....Who is better...A guy that won Advanced, or a guy that has a bronze or silver in Open? If you are like me then you think the guys that have medaled in OPEN are probably better than they guys that won advanced. But why do you have to move up if they are allowed to move down? Does a Gold in Advanced make you better than a Bronze in Open? If not then why do you have to move up, but they can move down? If you have medaled in a higher class you have no buisness in a lower class. You have proven that you are better than that class already. I don't like the math rule....You guys were a great team...You were not Pros, but you kicked butt. Under that kind of rule it limits the level of Advanced play. I think the issue is Pros sandbagging, not guys like you that worked really hard. It is a simple issue of making PRO's stay in the class they belong. If you are considered a PRO after you win Advanced..Why are you not considered a PRO if you place in OPEN? Makes no sense to me. I don't care who gets paid to do what....My issue is with guys that have PROVEN they are world class playing in a field that was created for weekend warriors. But that weekend jumpers that have won that class are considered Pro. That makes no sense. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

You think he needs to ASK for information? You think the whole intel comunity has information, but is just going to sit on it till they get a call from Bush to say "Pretty please give me some more intel on this largest attack on the US in 50 years"? You think we had thouseands of intel community guys playing Tetris or watching soaps till Bush called up and asked them to work on this latest "problem"? Do you really think that: A. People were just sitting waiting for a word from the President before they started looking into that situation? If you do think that then we are all screwed. B. that if they did have some good information besides what they already told him...That he could not be reached sitting in a room full of kids? "Hey guys...we know where the next plane is going to hit...We know who is behind it, and we have his address where he is right now. The only problem is I don't want to interupt the CiC...He seems to be having a fine time with the kids in there." Get real. The intelegence community does not need to be told to get information about an event that large....To think that it would take an Executive inquiry to get anything started is stupid. To think that he could get better information in another room instead of where he was..Is also foolish. He knew he would get any information as soon as it was availible. He stayed cool instead of freaking out...And you want to use that against him. You really do think strange. No they don't. #2 you are in the White House. You have permanent escape plans in place...And you have a bunker on site. You are in a totaly controled environment #1. You are in a school with good practiced plans. But you are not in a controled environment. No president has been assasinated while in his residence. Go rent "Delta Force" again. You think the PRESIDENT needs to actually ORDER people to get more info at a time like that? You also think he needs to call a front line during a war and tell that PFC its OK to shoot a bad guy that is firing on him? I bet him "ordering" the intelegence community to get more info would be up just like if you ordered the sun to rise. They were already working on it....Him standing there would not speed things up one bit. Since you don't know maybe you should not be slamming the guy? Yes I ahve seen the video....He looks good for a guy that has just been told that he is now in charge of a country that has just been attacked....I would have freaked out. What would you have done? I think he showed amazing resolve. He didn't freak out...He knew there was nothing he could do at that time without more intel. He didn't start barking orders with no direction...What would like him to do? Freak out and order a nuke attack on Delta's HQ's. He didn't know WHO did WHAT. He only knew that two planes were used in an attack. I think he did the right thing... But it's clear you and Bill think he should have nuked something 30 seconds after he was told.... What would you have done? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

bill even if they had two planes hit and they had mananged to shoot down the 3rd or 4th....You would be screaming that the had no proof that there were hijackers on board and you would say the President killed innocent people. You clearly don't work in anyplace where you have to make big choices quickly. And your hatred for anything Bush does is so clear. I don't think ANYONE would have handled that situation better. And I bet Gore was thanking god that he was not able to steal the last election. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
