And your wrong. Nowhere does it say "Seperation of Church and State" What it DOES say is that the law will not back an ESTABLISHMENT of religion. That is to say back a Government Church, such as the Church of England. It does not say Jack about not being religious, in fact it gives you the right to be. Which would say that if kids wanted to say the pledge, or pray they should be allowed...But we don't let them pray in school...And THAT is against the first amendment. People always get the Constitution wrong. Its pretty clear really. This one and the second ammendment are always read wrong..They are both very clear. Congrats...Best feeling in the world huh? Some pointers: 1. Continue to learn...Its fun and you can avoid a BFR if you get a new rating every two years. 2. Taking a girl up for a night flight around your city will score MAJOR points...She just starts thinking about you as some dashing war hero with a silk scarf floating in the wind...Nice. 3. Try at all costs to keep the pointy end forward...Planes fly better that way. 4. Land with the rubber side DOWN. Aircraft owners really like this. should dz make tandem mandatory first jump?
Ron replied to freeryde13's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
You say this: Then you say this: Why would you act like its a fact if you don't know? I will grant you that most Tandems don't come back out...But most AFF or S/L students don't ever come back either...For most its a one time thing. And from a personal view point...Being both an Instructor and a Tandem Master (Of which you are neither)...I would rather have a student do a "Working" Tandem first...Treat it like an AFF level one with TLO's. I am very brash, and come accross like my opinion is correct...You do also. But I do have many ratings and years behind my opinions, you don't. People are always telling me to "chill out"...I have been trying, I also have been trying to give you that same advice. I do. It makes a better student. I did. If you consider 20+ years new...This shows how little you know about this sport. Chill out and listen some... You have Instructor after Instructor tell you something . Why do you refuse to listen? Tandem students make a MUCH better transition to regular student. Its more cost effective for BOTH student and DZ. It teaches TONS in one jump. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334 -

I hate to break this to you...But you did TWO tandems....That could be why your AFF went so well. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334 -

Facts or did you make this up? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334 -

I can see the benefits of making someone do a tandem first. 1. They get to experience freefall without having to save themselves...even with AFF they are expected to be able to save themsevles. 2. They get the best canopy coaching they will ever get...I had a student that just could never get canopy control...I tried and tried to explain things to her, and so did others...She was going to quit. I did one tandem with her to give her hands on experience WITH me to show her the "majic spot" and the proper pattern...she now is a regular jumper. To give that to a student on the first jump is a very good teaching tool. 3. Its much more economical to have them do a tandem instead of a 6-8 hour ground school to make one jump and never return....AFF is around 275.00 here and a Tandem around 150.00. For those that just want to come out and make one its cheaper, faster and safer than AFF. I could go one. I like the idea. If I had my choice of programs it would be two tandems, tunnel time, static lines, and advanced coaching. Sarin works better when it is in a mist than poured on the floor. An air burst of the same amount will kill much more than just pouring it on the floor. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

OK... Who is holding New Iraq responsible? I hold OLD Iraq and Saddam in particular as responsible. True....But I think we will know more as things progress... I think we will find them hidden..Maybe not in 100+ numbers...But ones and twos.. And I think its pretty clear SH hid some. All of this was against the UN resolution. But the trial should be very interesting. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Coworker just heard that beheading video is possibly fake?

And I'll leave it at this: Have fun with your witch hunt. I hope you find the killer of both Berg and JFK in the studio where there filmed the lunar landing in the Nevada desert by area 51. Best of luck looking right past the truth. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334 -
Coworker just heard that beheading video is possibly fake?
Ron replied to funks's topic in Speakers Corner
No, Im reading them all...What it is happening is that I can't believe the replies. You have a video that yes was edited. But that clearly does show a Jewish man named Berg tells the camera his name, his home town, and his families names. Then some guy with a knife cuts off his head. Some of the replies are really stupid. "A guy is wearing sneakers" "One is wearing a ring" "They look white" Still you only have to ask some very simple questions. Do the Islam extremists hate Jews? YES Do they hate Americans? YES Are they trying to kill both Americans, and Jews? YES Do they also love to do really grapic examples of their hatred? YES Did Berg in his own voice say his name, home town, and famliy members? YES Did the video, though edited, show a guy that claimed to be Berg getting his head cut off? YES Was Bergs body found with his head cut off? YES Berg was a Jew that was American that just returned from Israel...He would be the most perfect subject of this type of snuff film. As for the edit: Here is a small hint...I would bet that its not easy to cut a guys head off with a knife. The amount of time it would take could very easily account for the edit. Not the shell itself, but what was in it...Could you imagine the contents of that shell being spread out during the Olympic games? I think that the leaders were mislead...We had plenty of bad intel fed to us. I also think that there are more of these and other WMD's still in Iraq. SH had them, he said he had them (Hell, we sold some to him) and he never did really say what he did with them. Some were stolen from him. Some were hidden by him. Some were sold by him.. I think all three happend. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Did you both to actually watch the video? What more proof do you need: 1. He is filmed saying his name and telling about his family and then filmed getting his head cut off. 2. He is found dead...And by amazing coinecidence his head is not attached. I think this falls into the catagory of DUH! Iraq was not allowed to have them,or the chemicals need to make them. If you give me a shell like this, I bet I could make it work without an artillery gun. We were just lucky that they were two stupid to know what they had....I bet they are kicking themselves right now. One drop of it will kill you, and that amount was enough to kill a few thousand. They were just to stupid to know how to use it. If you take a good old nuc and blow it up wrong its just a dirty bomb. The shell was an WMD, the contents were WMD, the two chemicals that needed to combine were both outlawed in Iraq. You lefties need to get over the "I't's not a WMD" thing. It was, and so was the Mustard gas found a few week ago. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Ah read below. It is a WMD...Just cause its old, and they didn't use it correctly does not mean its not an WMD. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

This based off of what experience with watching terrorists cutting off peoples heads? The video quality is not good, but I have no doubt that that was video of Berg being killed. What more evidence do you need than his body being found with his head cut off? So the terrorists will not win an award for cinematic filming.....I'm willing to bet thats not what they were after. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334 -
And I also agree with that...However it was not that way based off of the impossibility of pulling it off...Even today I don't think its possible. Just look at the American Idol BS "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Nope...But you claim that Iraq didn't. We knew he had them, His people said he had them...HE said he had them. But since we coulnd not find them right away you claim he didn't have them? He hid them. Thats what I would have done. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Well with the Bush thing...Like I said you don't like it??? Try and get rid of it. But I didn't hear the Dems crying when it worked for them, only when it worked against them.
