  1. Would you feel the same if the company said that you can't skydive on your own time? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  2. Don't avoid the question, answer it. If you had to send one, which one would it be? Also don't move to a three strike state then. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  3. Its called "priors" and "Intent to sell" vs. "Personal use" "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  4. I would prefer you look at violent crimes that affect others, not some drug user. The violent crime numbers show clearly that a smaller percentage of the population (blacks) commit the most violent crimes. As for selective sentancing....Well the numbers don't take into account priors. Who would you send to jail: a) A guy busted for having 3 joints in his car. b) A guy that was busted for the same three joints, but has a rap sheet? 5. IL is mainly a Blue State right? So much for the Repubs being behind it huh? Also, as Rich pointed out that most murders are commited by blacks. Many other stats show that a larger number of blacks commit more crimes than whites. Add in the fact that in some black cultures Jail is a right of passage and you will clearly see why there are more blacks in jail than whites. Your best angle to use here is to claim that more blacks are given a worse shot at equality and comit crimes to survive....But to claim that an entire system is after them (Even in a blue state) is not a good argument. 6. I think he has several very good traits....But I also think he has others that would make him a poor choice. And I'll leave it at that. The average person does not pay attention to the details of anything. I would LOVE to see numbers on how many people who voted actually read a paper once in a while or just watched a news report. A majority of people in my office had no clue about any of the issues other than what the political ads said. A very bad sign. "We are not educated well enough to perform the necessary act of intelligently selecting our leaders,"--Walter Cronkite I tend to agree and I wish more people would look past the political ads to see the real issues. 7. His comments while maybe correct since most crime and most inmates are black. I don't buy racial profiling as being the reason that more blacks are in prison....I think more blacks are in prison since it seems to almost be a right of passage in black cultures. My family and friends would be very upset with me if I went to prison for stealing....In some circles it is not looked down on, but instead looked at as another way "The Man" keeps a black man down. Little hint: Don't do the crimes, and you will not go to jail for the crimes. Anyway Bennetts remarks were quite stupid. Even without the selective editing that is being used it was still quite a stupid thing to say. When I first heard NPR play that quote I thought "Wow, there has got to be more than that and it was just taken out of context"...When I READ the whole statement, I thought, "Well he sure is an idiot." 8. I already got in trouble with a Mod thinking I was making an attack on him....So I wanted to make damn sure that while I knew you were joking that it was not intended as an attack. But to answer in a word, "No, I would not Vote for Bill Von". To answer your question about what traits I think a President should have....Well I would like a President that had convictions and did what was right no matter what the fickle polls say....Bush is like that. Bush's poll numbers are going to continue to drop as more Americans grow tired of the war effort. Everyday the SAME Americans that supported the President at the start of these wars are going to switch sides. The rising cost of gas and the constant death toll will make the bandwaggon supporters switch. It happend in Vietnam, and it is happening here. When Nam started it was almost "Popular" and if you wanted to be a leader military service was almost needed. As the war drug on people switched sides and it became popular to oppose the war. The same thing is happening now. I would really like a President with convictions AND with the ability to do the right thinks without pissing everyone off. Not an easy task. So in my idea world we would have a noble guy with convictions that could work the system from the inside and get the same results without a bunch of BS. For this reason I could also never even run for President. I like to think I have the convictions, but I have very little tact. I wish at times I could be more like Clinton in the tact department.....Even though I get enough blowjobs now "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  9. Not an attack, a statement of my thoughts. While I dislike both Clintons very much, Bill Clinton had tact and diplomacy. Enough that while I didn't think much of his personal life he had very good skills in the political area. In fact Bill Clinton has earned my respect a few times since leaving office. So while I don't think Clinton was very honest or noble, he had good political skills and listend to people who had different opinions instead of trying to crush them. Bush Jr. could in fact learn a thing or two from Clinton about tact and diplomacy. A much criticized trait of Bush is not listening to others and thinking he knows whats best or "correct" all the time. This post will probley start shit....But any post asking what people think about another poster or particularly a Mod is sure to start trouble on some level if people answer it honestly. Edit: In fact I am surprized this thread was allowed to exist at all. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  10. No, in fact I'd vote for Clinton first. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  11. Oh geeze, I hope yoiu never flipped off anyone in your life since you started throwing stones. If you hate Bush great, but just stop crying about it when he does the SAME thing that you have done. 12. I just bought three helicopters. 2 Blades and a .50 Venture. I sold a few of my planes before the move. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  13. Don't know if it has been answered, but heres the scoop. Slot switchers are blocks that when done correctly normally switch two peoples slots....Simple huh? Normally the front half (OC and Point) takes the "Memory". So out the door everyone is in the normal slots (called A's). Then once the slot switch block is done then the OC and point chang places and does the others job (called B's)....OC is now Point, point is not OC. It stays that way until another slot switcher happens. Slot switch blocks are: 3, 10, 12, 16 Mirrors: Mirrors are blocks that take the entire formation and flip it. You are still in your slot, but now the guy who was on your right is now on your left. So your SLOT is still the same, but to build the same point in the same slot you have to turn the other way. For example you launch a star, then build a right dount. After the dount you perform a mirror block then you build the star again (the guy on your right is now on your left) and then you build a donut...This time you build a LEFT donut. This can be a major mind burner. The mirror blocks are: 5 & 17. We got rid of mirrors and did double slot switchers. So now when 5 or 17 comes up both the front and the back take memory. So you ask....Why? OK. we already know that we have 16 randoms and 22 blocks. So there are 38 slots. If we take double slot switchers everyone has to learn 76 slots since they will all have memory. This allows everyone to know their piece partners job...And that helps. With mirrors the back has 38 normal slots, and all 38 mirrored. So they stil have 76 slots. However the front has the 76 PLUS the mirrors, so they have to learn A's (38), B's (38), Mirrored A's (38), and mirrored B's (38) 152 moves. Now since there are only 2 mirror blocks how much training do you think you will get in B slot mirrors in a normal plan? 14. Well, if you guys had gotten to train at all I am pretty sure you would have smoked us. On the random rounds and the rounds with blocks you guys have done you spanked us. But then again with the line up you had I would consider you guys one of the top teams...So instead of a top 6 we would have had a top 7 teams. Still quite fun. One of my proudest moments to date was when Carey walked up to Steve and I and said we looked good. I mean I tried to follow in your footsteps back in 98. One day I'd like to do 4way with you....I have jumped with Carey and Vern already. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  15. Eric, if you guys had beaten us, I could have lived with that. How many World Champs did you have? Anyway, if you remove your 15 points of video busts (WOW)you did have a 15.9. But, If you remove our 5 NJ's we had a 16.2. Its pretty clear you guys were World Champs from the dives I saw...Plus your performance in 8way was AMAZING. 16. Nah, you are one of the folks I'd like to hang with.....Just not gonna happen. Well, then my good to bad ratio is still ahead of yours "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  17. I would not bet on that In fact I will put money on it. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  18. 11's are a block move Photon-Photon. I can only assume that CRW competitions have block moves as well. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  19. Its not really a good idea at all. On most FF jumps they have a "Ball Master" that is a VERY experienced jumper. His job is to make sure that it is not lost. You could just jump with the guy instead of having him around to catch the ball. So if you wanted to use this by yourself to learn RW skills....Chances are that if you were good enough to be safe enough to use one....You don't need one to work on skills. 20. The original design the front came to a single seam. My last suit had a 1 1/2" center piece. The theory is that the center piece will be able to fold over and actually increase the surface area of the bootie...So far it seems to work well. It has tons of power, but I think the original "Knife Edge" allowed for slightly quicker inputs laterally. 21. I don't see that happening soon...Maybe the bar running out of beer. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  22. While its always good no one bounced....Not having AC in a team room you paid for is a big deal. Being made to get up early and then sit around for hours when there is good WX is a big deal. Being made to show up early and being made to stay late is a big deal. All of these were big deals, and while not the end of the world should be looked at. 23. Yep it said "Beach front/side/back" Since when do I have to be close to a tunnel? If you can travel, so can I. I enjoy coaching, and I like hanging out with you guys. My one hour here and there stuff is gonna have to end, but I still plan on doing camps. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
