It really is perfectly alright for someone to not want to take the personal risk of skydiving. Yep don't push or coerce someone into it. Can she cram loads of shit into a small suitcase, quickly?
-
Not sure if it passes the test of time, but my mum was a big fan of Brando and recently lent me her DVD of On The Waterfront. - I was blown away by it. A really old funny film I never tire of watching is Kind Hearts and Coronets - Alec Guiness was a genius in that film.

Never slapped a girl's ass... Least not when first meeting them Should I be slapping ass? Is it okay to? BP
-
Yep, there weas 3 of them, all nice, not sure which one did the slapping. Was on way out of the bar, so never found out. BP
-
What does it mean? I've had it pinched before and I know that pretty much means "Nice butt, lets get to know each other" But a slapping? What's the meaning and the difference from a pinch to a slap? BP

2 Days at each wont be enough. What time of the year are you going? Each city may have something going on at the time, an event, exhibition or show that you may want to go and see. If it's at the end of April, we have a Royal wedding going on. BP

How would you set your friends up? If you had a friend like you how would you set him up? Sounds to me that your selection criteria for your potential partners AND your friends is wrong. Why limit your options when it comes to a making female friends? Yes I know you think you know right now what floats your boat, but that may change. The person you want is never the person that you need. Take your friends as an example. I dont know what your 'wants' were when these friends came into your life, but right now you NEED a friend that would do to you what you would do for them and fix you up. But there isent any friend prepared to take up the huge challenge of fixing you up. Why do you think that is? Are they the assholes? Are you? or did YOU just make some choices in the past that have led you here? Figure that out and then maybe you may want to loosen off the restrictions on your potential dates. BP

Get a friend round. Ask them to be ultra strict with you and have them help declutter your room. It's so easy to hang on to shit we don't need and so hard to let it go out the door. If you have a trusted friend and you give them the brief of how stressed the chaos is making you, then they can be really ruthless in getting rid of the crap with you. If they know you well, maybe they can help you take a step back from the coalface, look at your activities and declutter your lifestyle as well. We often think we are maxed out when in reality we're not optimising our time, but we are too maxed out to see it. Once that is done, as your expenses are low, I'd suggest getting a cleaner in for the rest of the house once evey couple of weeks. BP

From When I started in Sebastian way back: Vladi - was my instructor through AFF, pulled for me on L3. Really positive instructor and great guy. Chris Lynch - small amount of time with him but massive impact. More recently: Claire "Sparky" Scott - in tunnel and air, brilliant coaching skills and always with a smile. BP -

Been in a similar situation with a horrible manager - still am. The advice I was given then which I though was crap was that you have to manage your manager. But it does work. Play her at the game. In the situation you gave the choices you had were: 1. Do it your way. 2. Do it the way she would have expected YOU to do it. 3. Do it the way she would have done it. 4. Do it the way she would have liked to have done. You should have chosen at least option 3 and ideally once you understand her more - option 4. It has paid dividends for me becuase I have gained my bosses complete trust now and because I know how to do what she wants, she LISTENS and accepts my alternative ideas and actions... and I get things done my way. Manage your manager to help them to manage you. BP

My favourite is between a sports reporter and Gordon Strachan (a Football Manager in the UK) Reporter: "Gordon, can we have a quick word please?" Strachan: "Velocity" [walks off] BP -
All great - keep em coming getting lots of ideas. My effort is a bit more subtle: Should I go out or not? Been sitting by the door contemplating for 15 minutes. Finally the door opens, I stare out, frightened, excited, am I ready? What the hell, I leap out. I’m overwhelmed, I’m falling, was this a mistake? I pull the parachute, all is quite, I’m ecstatic. BP

My work is having ‘very short story’ writing competition going on until early December. It’s a bit of fun really with no serious prizes. (its expected that first prize will be either a signed chessy photo of the director or a bottle of wine) All you have to do is: • Compose an original story • Make sure it’s EXACTLY 50 words in length Examples (not written by me) are: “He ignored me again last night. Came into the house, slammed the door and put the telly on. I tried to be affectionate – sitting next to him on the sofa and touching his arm to show I cared but he pushed me away. Sometimes it’s not easy being a cat.” “Arrived home as normal. Following months of continuous wrangling, she’s finally taken the hint and rearranged the furniture. The television seems sharper and I managed to watch what I wanted for a change. I have to say the food was excellent, most enjoyable. And then it hit me. Wrong house.” I really want to submit a story about skydiving ideally in a positive way but I’m not having any luck composing something. Can anyone come up with anything? (If I use your submission I will give you the credit) Thanks BP
