If the beaver is in a really steep dive it will easily match and even exceed regular free fall speeds... straight down. I love that aircraft

we had a basic flight plan knowing that i wouldn't keep up with him (we have a much better one now, just need the weather)... In the beaver the pilot sits on the left, so the plan was stay behind and slightly to the left so he could see me. Fly in a straight line, then slowly carve to the left back towards the DZ. If there seemed like an issue of closeness etc, he would hard turn right, and i would turn left. So i was at the DZ the other day and had no birds to hang out with... flying on my own would surely have just been boring... good job there was an aircraft to play with. This video is my second and third go at flying with the aircraft. Sadly we ran out of daytime to try any more (the pilot and i think we know what to do now) and the weather has been shit since The aircraft is a Beaver (the black beaver as its known.. insert female genitalia gag here) and i'm flying my Bird Man S3s. the first thing you'll notice is its not great footage... I'm not a camera flyer by any means and i didn't have any kind of sight, so its all pretty much guess work... I have .mac e-mail and someone claims to be sending me something, but it's not appearing. Anyone know if they use spam filters? Could it be moving mail to a spam folder...? i can't find one so i'm not convinced it has, but the mail must be going somewhere (if they're actually sending it!) i'm using it via webmail, if that helps... i actually can sometimes pin point it.. but then i do spend my life without sleep... if you really want to dream... set your alarm clock for about 4 am... (do this on a night you're really tired and go to bed at about 11 or so). When your alram goes off, hit a snooze button that'll give you 10 mins before it goes off again... then when it does... repeat.... man this gives me some fucked up dreams

Shit. this absoultely sucks. I actually knew Adrain first, not through skydiving, but from his then 'day job'. He used to be the flying eye (travel reporter in a cessna) for a radio station i used to work at many years ago... It was our chats back then that probably first put the seed of jumping in the back of my head. Getting to jump with him over the years was truely a privelage as was being able to call him a friend. His boundless energy and genuine friendliness made him one of the true great people in the world and i will very sadly miss him. The DZ is not being unfriendly. They are trying to look out for you and keep you alive! Perhaps you should take the time to speak to the CCI again and find out her reasons for not letting you jump. Seriously dude, please just slow down before you hurt yourself again. You dont have to do everything at once!
