I have never hated a room-mate. You just have to get used to certain people's ways of doing things. Everyone is different. Actually I try not to hate anyone. If I do not like the things that they do I avoid them as much as possible to divert strife in my life.

Good Picture goto Sebastian or Titusville for the ground scenery as a background for the dive. That is just ridiculous. All tandems are work. Even a 100LB girl can get you out of control if you let her. Things happen very quickly in Skydiving in general. To say that a heavier person should be charged more is just plain discrimination. Either take the person or don't. If a TM agrees then he should not get paid extra. Next you will be asking extra for Older people & People with handicap's. These are no different than a heavy person. Each case should be evaluated individually. My biggest was 270 @ 6'9. Well, I just got back from some military training and thought I might be able to get a jump in sometime. Does not look like that is going to happen. It seems we are having the second coming of the flood here in Florida. Very unusual for the state. I am thinking I need to start builing my Ark pretty soon. If I do so I will need at least two members of opposite sex from each discipline to keep our species going once the rain stops. Hopefully the rain will stop soon. Take care all. I cannot believe it. I went through the very first BIC Course during the P.I.A. in '97. He was there for the Regional Directors. Roger brought some very interesting vidoes to learn off of. I always pack my own rig. If I cannot make the load then it was not meant to be. The reason I like to pack my own rig is because this way I know who to blame when it is ASSES UP!!! Another reason is that a few of us in Texas back in the mid 90's worked on the Psycho pack and got really smooth openings. Finally I now have a Replaced Hip and need a nice soft on heading opening every time. Many people these days pay to have their rig packed because they have forgotten how. It is pretty sad actually. I must say I am disappointed in myself in that I only know a couple of ways to pack. That would be Pro and Psycho. Their is always the most popular "TRASH" but that is for special people. . Honestly though there are many people out there who have forgotten how to pack. This is not good. You must stay current on everything to be truly current. Just my thought. Hey Chris: You are always going to have people like that. I have seen people try to sue. The waiver provided it was written by an attorney is definitely good enough. On the other hand I would turn the business away because it is not worth the hassle. I have a Tandem rating and unfortunately had to take similiar people up who act like that. On our waiver we have a place for the person to buy their rights back at $300 a jump. In my experience though more often than not it is the student who does not listen to their instructor who gets hurt. I have only sprained one persons ankle and that was because they did not listen to me. Of course when I went through the course I was taught that if it comes down to it and the student does not listen break them first. It is the livlihood of the instructor not the student. Anyway, I would just say tell that guy that maybe skydiving is not for him. Of course you need to do it in good political fashion. Hey Steve: Is your profile correct in that it shows 12 jumps? If so I would not recommend going any lower than 170. I am 5'8 and around 150. I was not able to buy my first rig until I had about 150 jumps. It was slightly big on me but it worked. The main a Clipper Sprint 190. What was good about it is that the canopy let me make some stupid mistakes w/o breaking me or worse killing me. I learned a whole lot about flying a canopy under that monster. Just a suggestion but I would just look for a nice/decent used rig that you can learn and make little mistakes on. Do not be so eager to have something which you really enjoy. Enjoying the sport should be your primary focus at this point. You can always get a custom fit rig later in your jumping career. It is hard to find a used rig that is perfect for you so just find one that is close. Go larger before you go smaller. I am sure there are a ton of people on here that can help you find somehting. I was in the Barracks in Washington State when I saw an ad on the bulletin board. I knew it was for me. I convinced another guy to go with me and Ten Years Later I am still jumping today. The Other guy could not jump the second time in the airplane. I on the other hand could not get enough and still cannot. The really funny thing is that I grew up about 10 minutes from Deland and never knew there was jumping there. I would have been jumping when I was in High School had I known. Oh well, Such is life I was into Drinking and chasing split tail and the Beach of course. Wait, I am still into those things I have just added a few more things like Skydiving into THE MIX!!!!
