I seem to remember Mike S. having a set of gloves like that.... -
"You're too fat to fit between the lines" Your hurtfull words are not appreciated. I'm a man not a stone! I have feelings and emotions just like you. If you cut me I bleed! I'm actually not fat, I just have a lot of energy stored up for sexual activity! My gut is a fuel cell for a sex machine. Now if the girls only didn't become sterile at the sight of me then I could expend some of this fuel! hahahaa On topic though... Yes a wrap can happen any time or anywhere, but your chances of getting into said wrap are mitigated if you don't fly around under canopy with your eyes closed. Some one mentioned that you can spin yourself up into line twists. I knew a dude who did that with a stilletto 190 at 400'. He cut away and he and his free bag landed about 10' apart. He is not around to do that any more. That situation can be prevented by flying in a coordinated manor and not yanking and banking on the toggles. So the moral of the story is: Do not fly like a douche (or do not fly like Ian the King Douche!) BTW CJ liked the pics. You have a new fan! hahaha He asked why we couldn't get pics of Annie holding his award...

I've been on the phone with some friends who are there right now watching the CPC. Distance has just finished up and they are starting the first rounds of Zone Acc. The beginning of the distance course was set up 300' from the shore of the pond. I have been told that some people were not making it out and getting wet. 300' is a respectable distance. I have also been told that there is now a little head wind and that the longest distance was like 450' or something like that. The head wind should help out the Accuracy competitors. No body has been seriously hurt today. Sunny Dee did botch a landing yesterday in practice from what I heard and is not competing today. I don't think she is broken but she is hanging out at the pond today so I'm sure it isn't to bad and I'm sure she is smiling! Jim has techno playing and there are not to many observers. I'm sure more people wil come out this weekend and watch the pro's compete. -
Fuck... What ever it was that got him must have been shitty, because he lived through being shot a few times! I'll drink a beer or 4 tonight for him. Grant

Right on dude. I'm glad you are not letting an ego keep you doing something you do not feel 100% about anymore. You are thinking with your head dude and I applaud that! Be carefull out there! Grant

We will use it as ground cover so that 12 other swoopers can pack on it! We will use your swoop shorts as a shade cover for those 12 other swoopers! hahahahahaaaaaa Just kidding! Have a good drive and be careful. Going to Amarillo and then Raton and I-25 to Denver is not to bad of a drive. -

Ahhhh Fuckit! I couldn't even think of myself not drinking or cussing or thinking that Jesus was here in the US and tried to tell only one man to start a religion when he dug up his grandmother's gold serving platter in his back lawn. Things allowed at my house now: Booze Cussing Morman hating In all actuallity I cannot stand for intollerance of Mormans so we will just hate on Stu instead! -

What beer? I quit drinking this week. There will be no alcohol at my house and I have converted to Mormanism so you all will not be allowed to cuss either. -

òû íà÷àë èçó÷àòü Ðóññêèé? WTF Over? I was out practicing this weekend and we had a good group out here in Colorado already. The swoopers and freeflyers banded together to build a shade structure city with tarps, tents, and vehicles to pack under so that we didn't get cooked by the big glowing orb in the sky. It was affectionitly called Shanty Town. CJ Hartwigsen was out jumping his JVX 83 on Saturday and Sunday. Peter Schwartz from Virginia was out jumping on Sunday on his Xaos 27 92. Tom Philips showed up Saturday afternoon and brought another competitor from Oregon named Brian. Tom also brought his sense of humor and topped my water bottle off with his very own warm yellow lemonade. I thought that was really nice of him but since Stu is a better aquantance I put that water bottle in Stu's truck to enjoy. Tom was jumping a JVX 96 and Brian was jumping a Xaos 27 118. Jessica and Nick from Team Extreme were out practicing this weekend and had a variety of sized JVX's. Jessica even had a 65 if I recall correctly. Stu (the Shanty Town man whore) was out practicing too and helping us quite a bit by giving advice and modeling his tight clothing. The girls out there in shanty town were noticably moved by Stu's display of manlyness. Many of them were quoted as saying: "I think I just became sterile after seeing Stu parade around without a shirt on..." In addition to us swooping we had a group of Free Flyers being led by Jimmy Trantor (the mayor of Shanty Town) that was landing and packing out by the pond. Jimmy has been carving on the pond all season and is working on his blindman's and lazyboys. His freestyle tricks are simple but his time on the water and time in the manuever is nothing short of amazing. Sunday afternoon brought a few rain showers all around the airport and a little wind but Shanty Town lived through it and all of the swoopers had a beer or two after the good weekend of jumping. That is all. -
Kevlar is not a really good patching material. If I were going to be making the patch in the boat hull I would use a mixture of fiberglass and Carbon Fiber. I would line the weaves up in a 45 degree angle on each layer to increase the strength. That is all.

Kevin Love quit the new Team X?
Spizzzarko replied to deathtrap's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
In my opinion Kevin was the embodyment of the spirit of competition. He is always willing to offer a word of encouragement and would be a valuable member to any team that he is on. Kevin will always be a great person in my book. That is all. -

Velocity? Future? Competition Regulations?
Spizzzarko replied to CKSCUBA's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Ryan T is doing very well and we se each other about two times a week. He is actually getting married! He found himself a good girl and is settling down. He selling his 90 velo and gear and going to upsize. He states that he just doesn't jump enough anymore to feel current on the velo. It is true as he doesn't jump much any more at all. Ohh welll. As far as know what is stock and what is not the manufacturers can release the stock specs of their canopies but why would they want to do that. Innovation and evolution can be continued in the open class where any thing would be allowed. I don't really think having classes would be hard at all. The only thing you would have to do is run all the classes on the same courses or build events where the pond could be setup one way and you could run different events on it. The carving accuracy and zone accuracy could be setup this way. All you would have to do is narrow the drag zone for the zone acc people and widen the drag zone quadrangle thing for the PST carving accuracy. Then the entire course could be setup the same. Hell Jim doesn't even set up side markers for the entire distance course anymore, and besides distance is borring for the crowds. I personally love distance, but I have to look at it from the crowd aspect. Why would I want to see 30 people do a turn and then land really far away after they pop up a little. The crowds want CARNAGE! or the possibility of it. Free style is what they love or even the two way events. -

Threeeeeaaaaaaaaaddddddd DDDDDDDdddrrrrrrriiiiiiffffffffttttttttt I'm sure Keith has retired from competitive swooping. The last time I saw him jump he had a mal on his 90 velo. I think Justin or Pope got Aubrey 96. I haven't seen him in two years. I saw Jason about a month and a half ago. He is now living in Houston and hasn't jumped in a long time. I think he has taken up skeet shooting (ahhhhh skeet skeeet skeeet skeet skeet skeet skeeeeettt). Dave and I are pretty much still the only ones from our original group competing. Aaron Oaken is starting this year, and is doing pretty well. He has just started to demo a velo and he is liking it. He pretty much has out flown that FX he has. -
"Watch your mouth, you haven't got the time or experience to know that she was selling gear and teaching people to skydive long before you thought about jumping." Kick his ass Seabass!!!
