  1. Kujo Widowmaker, Killer, Spike... Something about that dog just begs for a name like these.
  2. "I do not support this BSR proposal. I agree that things need to be done, but another set of non-enforceable rules to address problems created outside "normal" DZ operations will not help." I agree with JP here. Even if you institue this rule do you honestly think that it will fix th eroot cause of the problem? The cause of the problem is people making stupid decisions at inopportune times.
  3. "Again: I am talking about saving your life, not swooping" I was referring to the aspect of rear riser usage to elongate the swoop.
  4. I would suggest practicing up high first. Second of all watch you pilot chute and yank on your rears. When you see the pilot chute fly up then you have stalled the wing. Make a note of your speed by sound and do not repeat that amount of rear input near the ground at that airspeed. Also you really need to think about why you are wanting to do this. Landing on rears on a lightly loaded seven cell is probably harder to do properly than on a highly loaded ellipticle. Just keep flying with your toggles and learn them to the best of your ability before you decide to mess around with rears. Learning rears now will hinder your skills later on in life. Many people do not understand how important it is to fly toggles well before learning to fly rears because eventually you have to transition to toggles after rear input. Many people also fly their rears way to long too.
  5. How about instead of ruining the cypress why don't you send it to me so we can use it to test firing speeds in hook turns! There are many of us who are interested in trying this but we need the cypress hardware. If you are interested in helping out our cause then PM me and I will give you more information.
  6. "something good finally came out of Yurop" Ohhh Nooo you did not just say that!

  12. As far as Front riser pressures go Ranking the canopies I have flown from heaviest to lightest here it is in order: Front Riser Pressure 1. FX 104 2. VX 98 3. PD-300 4. Xaos 27 91 5. JVX 89 6. Velo 103 7. Velo 96 8. Xaos 21 98 Rear Riser Pressure 1. Xaos 21 98 2. PD-300 3. vx 98 4. JVX 89 (when going really freaking fast) 5. FX-104 6. Velo 103 7. Velo 96 I didn't use rear input on the xaos 27 when I jumped it. I have found though that riser pressure changes signifigantly with speed. The JVX has nice rear riser pressure when cruising around but after a really good speed inducing turn the rears get really stiff and powerful! I am really enjoying the JVX, but that is not to say that I am putting my 96 velo on teh shelf. There are applications in which each canopy is better suited in my opinion.
  13. look out!!! that helmet in the upper left hand corner of the first picture is on fire!
  14. He's probably to busy pointing out how swoopers are the bane of humanity to be nice to you.
  15. Hi Jim, We are getting some more interest in it now, but the weather here is still in the spring time mode so we will not have events here for at least another month. We are working with what we got. Take it easy Jim.
  16. Here's my advice. Don't do it and say you did.
  17. Dude if you want to donate the cypres to me I am looking for out of date cypres units to do some hook turn testing with. I am looking to see if I can fire them with a high performance turn to landing. Let me know. If you are not using it, I could put it to good use. Thanks for your consideration
  18. I hope they don't do a landing over 180 degrees!
  19. "Seems I can apply for a pilot slot, and if I don't get it, I can walk." Dude I would get that in writting from them first. That sounds a little funky to me. I did 8 year in the AF.
  20. Sell the tri and get a spectre.
