does anyone here know anything about the band Megadeth? They recorded a song on On the album Countdown to Extinction entitled "High Speed Dirt" which is about skydiving. the video for the song ( if I remember correctly ) shows the members of the band skydiving.I assume they made some jumps, but have wondered if they still jump or what.The band included frontman Dave Mustaine and a revolving lineup of musicians. oh, absolutely! When i was a kid, we would put the stopper in the tub and then pour rubbing alcohol in it. It gives off some really nice flameage! all was well until the shower curtain caught on fire. Try explaining that to your mom. Then there was always the model rocket engines attached to everything but the rocket...... you could also pour the alcohol in an old glass coke bottle and light the end. It would shoot a pretty healthy flame, but would break in your hand if it got too hot. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes!

JARTS! They were the bomb, literally!There is nothing better than a pound of steel with cranium punch on the end. They always brought new meaning to mom's old warning " You'll put an eye out with that thing!" I just still can't imagine why they would outlaw such a wonderful toy. I've seen the new stowless bag. someone at my DZ was jumping for a while, although I'm not sure if he still is.He is a rigger and a very good skydiver and instructor. I personally thought it looked scary as hell.Has any one else seen it, what are your thoughts? Play stupid games, win stupid prizes!

Last climb 1450ft in 36 minutes. WOW, that is a hell of a climb!I am a tower tech,i.e. I climb towers every day. I think I would have a hard time beating your time. You must be in excellent shape! I was wondering if you guys use a safety climb on the outside climbs or if they are too expensive/too much hassle?Most every tower has a cable and they are easy too use.they can be purchased on E-Bay for as little as $20 and are good insurance against a slip. Are you sure you want to buy a rig that you have to post a search for pictures of? does the manufacturer not have a website? where did it come from? will you be able to find a rigger who can pack the reserve?does anyone you know have experience with them?what are it's operating limits? I'm not saying it's bad gear, maybe I've just never heard of it. I would still do some heavy investigating..... Play stupid games, win stupid prizes!
