    Reminds me of a company in SLC, UT I worked for. The dad built up the business from nothing, sent both sons to college. When they returned, they slowly drove the business into the ground with one dumb move after another.

    That's too bad, since the group would be more effective than an individual. One time jumping into an uneven fight to help out some kid, I was running over to help and, when I looked over my shoulder, his buddies were going the other way.

    Commie! I enjoyed your logical argument for mandatory organ donation. Unfortunately, it's very hard to sway emotions with logic, isn't it? Yes, I'm a donor.

    A jump buddy of mine works in a non-union steel fabrication shop. When they have a big project they hire on new guys. When things slow down they lay off the slackers, who are pretty obvious on the shop floor. After a few churns you get a pretty good crew. Many times I've envied that system.

    Tempered glass works on exactly the same principle. Which is why, if you do break it, it explodes into tiny pieces. I was thinking that must be the case. Certainly looked familiar.

    At my old dropzone I was so busy with students some days they called me "Johnny Jumpmaster." I guess there's worse nick names than that.

    Nothing burns me worse than slackers getting paid the same as me. But after 29 years in the FAA I learned to ignore it.

    .22LR to the back of the head should suffice. Yeah, tough thing. I've taken two long time pets into the vet's to be euthanized. I hate it.

    I have people send me the money as I send the rig. Simple trust has worked pretty well but I so far haven't sold a complete rig for thousands of $$, just used canopies and containers worth hundreds. If I got up into the 1-2K range of $$, I might want to use escrow.

    Back in the 60's a lot of new B727 pilots used that method to calculate their descent profiles instead of following the books. Several fatal crashes made them go back to the scientifically calculated flight plans. Time between groups has been proven to work, over and over again.
