  1. ***Nope! The shirt is burgundy red and the bike is much more of a cherry-red... But I *do* have a leather jacket that perfectly matches the bike... Super cute pic of you and the bike, but yes, please put on your leathers when you ride. We don't want our N@ getting all scraped up.
  2. I know a lot of things whuffos don't know. Gender bias. I've seen it go both ways. You can remember the 60's and 70's when most women battled uphill for respect in the workplace and on the DZ. And we've seen the cute young thing thrown into jumps way beyond their ability.
  3. Some ebay, some Craig's list, a lot of giveaway to friends and family. I know there's some bad people out there but they are not attracted to "antique rocker for sale" ads. They're more into the $2000 diamond ring stuff. And I can read most folks pretty well. Hell, I'm scarier than they are. Still sorting thru all the stuff. Too many tools, too many hobbies.
  4. No, I was talking about highlighting your link with the URL function so it makes a clickable hyperlink. Much more convenient for all the subsequent readers, just click, no copy and paste.
  5. Loved that show. Tom Hanks rarely shanks one. Just finished watching "Lone Survivor". Pretty powerful movie. Where do we find men like our soldiers? I'm in awe.
  6. He was on a local radio show in Seattle a few years back. Didn't quite work out. I found him a little boring on the air. Probably more fun in person. YMMV.
  7. Hey, you guys are the ones saying all the dirty stuff. It's not me taking it wrong. It's just like that shrink with all the pornographic ink blots. What a horn dog.
  8. I can't believe you don't like brownies. Chewy squares of sublime chocolate goodness? Well good, more for me. What I don't understand the appeal of? Dungeons and Dragons. But I've never played and suspect I'm not smart enough to play.
  9. Depending on weather and terrain, sometimes your options are limited. You simply can't get lined up into the wind under certain conditions, but you can get to the airport. . . downwind. Aircraft CAN land downwind, just like we can, but it's trickier and there are limits. Mountain flying has sets of hazards you don't see in flat land flying. They bite pilots all the time.
  10. I had those kind of parents too.
  11. Sorry, I love them all too much.
  12. I know Krip pretty well. He's in the midst of cleaning up the estate of a spouse's parent. His advice. . . get rid of all your junk now. Don't make your kids have to do it. Old police reports?? That is one item my kids will not be sorting thru. And I've thrown out my old report cards, tax returns, etc. I do hope to leave them a nice collection of shootin' irons, though. In the future, it won't be "here's all the family photo albums, all 100 pounds of them." It'll be "here's Dad's hard drive. Wanna check for any good files before we erase it?"
  13. This pretty much. We even let our kids pick their own weird hair styles, from mohawks to red punk cuts. They seemed to tire of it quickly enough and return to the norm. Pick your battles. Choose the things that really matter.
  14. I've known some Denver controllers that work the airspace into Aspen. It's a tricky little airport, demanding respect. Too many crashes there.
  15. I don't know about that, but I'm pretty sure he took a dock on my wife last weekend! And that was so much fun.
  16. Absolutely. I'll never be a world class anything. . . To excel at so many things is amazing. Wonder if she'd like to take the AFF Class?
  17. Not the first NTSB report that uncovered something like that. Don't know whether to laugh or cry.
  18. Comes with it. You get the bike, you get the girl.
  19. Cute pic. Has your sister had kids yet? Just asking because some women find it hard to dress up and get out after kids, but she obviously does quite well. . .
  20. I had some get pretty hot wingsuiting, for that very reason.

  22. I just want to know why there were no gorgeous skydiving instructors like you when I was a student. Nice pics. I can't wait to start jumping again this weekend. Been out 2.5 months with a broken collar bone.
  23. I like to use those little handwarmer packets in regular baseball gloves for winter jumping. Of course, the Pac NW isn't as cold as much of the country. Back in my Utah days, I would jump in ski gloves, but this was before I had a tandem rating.
  24. Ooo oooo thanks for bringing it back!!!
