**I have never had a student injured though, AFF or tandem.** Hook: you lying dog, you almost killed me on my very first skydive, remember how you tried to unhook me in freefall? J/K

**whoa...... you people need to take a chill pill** i think we're trying to get people off of pills right now! J/K Richard "Gravity Is My Friend"

**if "Pro" is the opposite of "Con"** "IF" is the biggest word in the english language, and yet, it only consists of 2 letters. for instance: "IF" my uncle bill had tits on his back, would that make him my aunt jane? "IF" i had $999,000.000 would i be a millioniare? what "IF" the next sky dive i make, is my last? Richard "Gravity Is My Friend"

i'm flying a 1.55 wing on my 170 Hornet, and it seems to handle great! but again, this is me, not you. you do as you see fit, and seek the advice of a learned colleague...always! Richard "Gravity Is My Friend"

it's generally a good idea to follow your steering lines to the 4 lines at the back of the canopy, and trace them out to remove all line twist each pack job. this has happned to me as well. hope it works. Richard "Gravity Is My Friend"

**(most of my clients were HIV pos.)** hell, i'd be depressed to if i was HIV pos. out of curiosity (i know, it killed the cat) what do you prescribe to an individual who is HIV pos? if i had it, i don't believe i'd have a reason to continue on, unless that is somebody prescribed me the "good stuff" i feel sorry for people in that position.... **1) The instructor should deploy his own main and wave bye-bye to the student. 2) The student is on his own. The skydiving community just lost an instructor within the last month and it appears as if he was trying to save the student. Commendable on one hand, but not really proper procedure.** Quade: that needed to be said, i'm glad someone had the courage to say it, my hat is off to you sir. new sky divers, listen, and remember these words, they are words to live by, literally. **I think the discussion is interesting, and I hope my opinions don't anger too many people, even if they are different. It is just my personal $.02.** i think this is an interesting thread as well. i never thought about it, people being on meds that is, until now. but anyway, what i wanted to say, is you shouldn't have to explain your opinion. my ol' daddy used to always tell me (he was military, 22 years) "i might not agree with everything you say, but, i'll defend to the death your right to say it" that has stayed with me all of these years. there is a valid point made in this thread, how long before we're immune to the meds? it's definitely worth pondering. hell, don't worry, just be happy!

have you checked for steering line twists? Richard "Gravity Is My Friend"

this particular jump reminds me of an incident down at SDSL in Rosharon, Texas. there was a freefly load up, and one of the sky divers handed another sky diver (staff member) his hackey at 10K SURPRISE! the poor fellow that caused the jumper to deploy at 10K felt awful, and wrote a letter, that to this day is framed in manifest. imagine that, someone dumping you, i don't know how i'd react. hope it never happens! Richard "Gravity Is My Friend"

i don't guess it would do much good to try and give a woman wearing a thong a "wedgie" would it? they've essentially already got one!
-
saw this one once, but it's kinda rude: i bet the best piece of ass you've ever had, is when your finger slipped through the toilet paper!

son-of-a-bisquit! i'm at a loss for words, which confuses even me. Richard "Gravity Is My Friend"

i had it done, and i'd wait the 3 months, unless you want to do some hop-n-pops. Richard "Gravity Is My Friend"

i'll do it if i have to, but if i don't, i won't. i go to jump, not pack. i will however take my main out, inspect my stow bands, closing loop, etc each weekend when i get home, so i do keep an eye on it. thanks Jahn!

**Horsepower: 415hp @ 6000 rpm** Negative Information!!** i love the Porsche, but you've got to get to 6800 RPM to get you 300 BHP.dohc 3.4 litre flat 6 cyl. (911 Carrera) not so with the Vette, 385 BHP @ 6000 RPM, 5.7 litre V-8, plus the Vette is some $20,000.00 cheaper, than the 911 Carrera, this is my fifth Corvette. (the Porsche 911 GT2 will set you back a cool $187,724.00, and $67,000.00 for the 911 Carrera) 456 bhp @ 5700 rpm 0-60: 3.6 sec. for the GT2 (stats obtained in this month's Road Test Annual 2002) the Carrera 911 turned in 300 BHP (not 415) @ 6800 rpm with a six speed manuel, 0-60 in 5.0, while the corvette will go 0-60: 4.6 sec (385 bhp) not the Z-06. so for my money, i'll keep driving the vette, beings as they're aren't that many porsches, etc on the road, detroit doesn't have anytrhing to offer right now faster, cheaper. i had a lexus SC-400 back in 1995, put 12K on it and sold it, no balls, it didn't have enough power to pull a sick whore off of a piss pot. 230 bhp, 4 ohc, 32 valve junk pile! (please refer to Road Test Annual 2002 For Stats) they tested the 32 most exciting sports cars, foriegn, and domestic. Richard "Gravity Is My Friend"
