i'm 43, made my first jump when i was 40. i will outlive this individual. too many times peolple take jump numbers for granted. don't mean jack. the sport is a very dangerous sport, and by now 99.9% of the fatalities come from an individual under a "good canopy" i wish the competitors luck, but keep life flight on call. it's a matter of time before our beloved sport is no longer "self governed" you think you have a dissagreement or two with USPA? it CAN get worse. training, awareness of other's future in the sport will hopefull cause these individuals to reconsider their juvenile antics. my son repels out of blackhawk helicopters, i've seen him do it, but he's safe, i know that because i raised him, it's "between the ears" for him, thank god! hey guys/gals Jonathan is my son. he's on a 2 week leave right now. i set ya'll up like dominoes! i knew i'd get scorched, but this was my way of welcoming him, and letting him see what type of response he'd get for flaming someone! he's stationed at fort hood, 7th cav. he saw me on dropzone, and wanted to join, so i helped him. GOTCHA!

i looked at your profile, you don't even have any equipment, or jumps. your a "whuffo" how you like that? freaking lurking whuffos! just because your in the armed forces don't mean jack, if your going to jump....jump, then STFU. see ya in the funnies...squirrell............. **To be fair, he asked for an opinion of how you would classify that, not an opinion of the question itself.** and this is your opinion, noted!
-
Yo, D: did you see the hooters on that girl in that commercial the other day? BOOBIES!
-
**Any opinions?** when you ask for this, and then you get it, you must know in advance that your most likely going to get exactly what you asked for, so different perspectives should not be a problem....right? could it have been phrased differently? of course, there's a bunch of should've could've woulda's in this world. having said all of that...in the UNLIKELY event someone is silly enough to do as you said in the original posts, i guess you could say you get what you asked for? in any event, be careful, be safe!

**Gee Richard, little harsh? Damn.** he asked for the OPINION, i gave mine. can i not do so without being judged? good, bad, or indifferent that was, and still is MY opinion which WAS solicited. i think clay had a more fitting response than i did, although people that ask these kinds of questions should consider the fact that others have or may have lost dear friends to some kind of misshap involving sky diving this year, and/or previous years. the man asked for my .02 usd, and i gave it. peace to all, be safe. Richard "Gravity Is My Friend"

since you asked for opinions, i'll give you mine. this is one of the most assinine questions i've ever heard, and with enough folks already gone this year i consider it an insult to those that have passed. would it be considered an automobile accident if i got ran over, and killed by a car while crossing a busy intersection, c'mon....gimme a break.......... he was also the only "perfect" human on the planet at the time, and they crucified him for his efforts............ Richard "Gravity Is My Friend"

generally, if you present your logbook, and you are a USPA member, and have a USPA number, and/or card, you can jump most USPA affiliated dropzones in the u.s. but don't let this stop you from pursuing your licenses. Richard "Gravity Is My Friend"

time to get under "a different canopy" this one's got a malfuntion.....chachink! arch, and flare

we all know our sport is growing. there's no question about it. i don't like the casualty figures myself, if it's just one, it's too many. how do we stop this? easy, training. if you want to make a difference, take a USPA coach's course, or an AFF or AFP course. we can make a difference by training alone, with emphasis on safety. it's easy to sit back and wonder, get involved, make a difference, it might, and probably will save a life. just when you think you know a little something, you find out you really don't know near as much as you thought you did. write an introductory outline for a tandem class, or an USPA AFP or AFF class. purchase a copy of the USPA IRM. then, you will see what i mean. i've been taking a lot of stuff for granted, and the more i learn, the more i've been seeing in retrospect i didn't know jack the whole time. this is what's getting our brother's and sister's, lack of knowlege. please choose to make a difference, take a safety class, a first aid class, coach's course, something, anything. take care, be safe, "check your handles" before exiting!

**And does it really matter????** well, yes. it is a feature on this website, and this is the "error and bug report" forum. i was merely bringing it to the webmaster's attention since it is malfunctioning. Richard "Gravity Is My Friend"

no, it was mph, i checked and i know the difference. i went out with him the other day, we did some rw, we both had speeds exceeding 156 mph, without trying. Richard "Gravity Is My Friend"

**In the unlikely (now) event you have something else causing the tow other than a tight pack job and wimpy PC, do you really want to create a horseshoe under 1500'? I watched a friend at the Richmond boogie have a PC in tow, reach back and pull the pin, create a horseshoe** perhaps you could set me straight, i'm under the impression that to have a horse shoe malfunntion the pc has to still be in the boc, OR wrapped around your leg, arm, etc...i've seen training videos on how to handle horse shoe mals, and i haven't seen one yet caused by pc in tow. BUT, i'm rarely right!
