I would definitely be inclined to have a quiet word with one of his instructors and/or the S&TA. Today he’s giving dubious advice/”coaching”… who knows what he’ll be up to next? Advising that same jumper that she really needs a sub 100 elliptical as a first canopy? Encouraging low timers to “have a go” at toggle hooks…??? If it were me… I’d say something. Vicki

I may be wrong here, but I’m under the impression that you can no longer buy a brand new original Cypres. Therefore it seems to me that you have a straight choice, if buying new, between Cypres 2 or Vigil. I went with the Cypres 2 because I reckon Airtec know a thing or two about making AADs by now… Vicki

Is there any way that this could be turned around into something positive? OK so she’s not happy to have you jump in… (seems odd – I know Headcorn Parachute Club do a jump into the local primary school every year!) but do you think she could be persuaded to let you come in and do a presentation about skydiving? There is some fantastic video footage out there of skydiving and I am sure that high school age kids would find it fascinating. It would in no way be dangerous and could not possibly get in the way of health and safety but would be a great way to educate teenagers about a very visual and exciting sport. (If she queries this, you could always point out that skydiving is recognised by the Sports Council.) Maybe if that goes well you may have better luck arranging a demo for next year? Gotta be worth a try.

Mr. Cool and Groovyin bed by 2am and wouldn't share his beer amongst the poor beer-less partying skydivers at 4am! Just kidding Macca... but you really should have stayed up later - we were having fun!

I don't have any - I was far too drunk for that! But there were loads of cameras about so there should be plenty! As for me - I was v drunk and just being vvvvv naughty! Permanant marker on people's faces, tying sleeping bags in knots... oh dear... the old ones are always the best! ***We had a very drunken party at Headcorn too. I'll have piccies for you by the weekend, but I have absolutely no idea what they'll be of!!! Stupidly left my camera on the bar, so I'll probably have a whole film of arses Yeah... it'll be just arses if you're lucky! See you soon matey! Vicki

Nethers will be deserted this weekend – loads and loads of us are heading to Headcorn for the 4way regionals (and, of course, to get drunk and dance on the roof! Again…) But yes... the foam party ROCKED. I can't wait 'til the next one! Vicki

I will be there for the next May bank holiday - it should be a blast! Gotta love May - any month with 2 bank holidays ROCKS! However... if you wanna watch a swoop meet... why not come to the Swoop meet at the end of the Armies (28-30 August - August Bank Holiday)? It is run alongside the speed 8 (but also plenty of fun jumping if you prefer that) AND there is a foam party on one of the nights which last year was just the most fun! I will be up at Hibbledump that weekend with Sounds Grrr8 for the 8way regionals so won't be at either. Sorry! Look forward to seeing you soon Taffy-bird! Vicki

I'm so sorry to hear about this Rosa - she sounds like she has issues - and they are most definitely hers and not yours! It was most likely the alcohol talking, but as has been said it would probably be wise to be a little bit extra careful for a week or two - maybe walk to your car with a friend or something. That is weird sh*t - and not something you deserve. Vicki

:9:0 9 jumps in the UK on a bank holiday weekend and all half price! 6 of them 8way team training, 1 very nice 9way, a v nice 10 way and then a completely hilarious 10way! Tired but vvvvv hapy!

No jumping on Saturday due to some traditional bank holiday weekend weather but an AWESOME party that involved lots of dressing up and went on in the bunkhouse until about 4am... (The antics almost deserve a thread all of their own... ) I did 5 jumps on Sunday ... could have done at least 2 more but was feeling a little delicate after the previous night's party... so stopped and chilled out! Monday started out cold and wet but cleared beautifully by about 2pm and I got 4 lovely jumps in. Not only did I get 9 jumps in on a bank holiday weekend - but I only paid £8 for each of them. Nethers rocks! Vicki

Steph – you wouldn’t believe it (but being Nethers you probably will actually…) I left my flat this morning with 3 skirts packed for fancy dress just in case… and in the space of a morning I have ended up lending out the other two… to blokes! The photos should be fantastic! Vicki
