7th Skydive Atlanta Halloween Freefly Festival!!!!
marks replied to ianmdrennan's topic in Events & Places to Jump
not that way at all. you just cant please everyone. maybe i should work on pleasing all the peeps that bitch publicly though, maybe that will fix things. there has been alot of thought time and effort into what is going into this party, im spending all weekend with trey going over stuff and he will be setting up all week. if you have a problem, or suggestions. "suggestions and actions always work better than bitching". or if you have music "YOU" would like played, like i said last year. PUT IT ON A CD AND BRING IT TO ME EARLY SAT MORNING OR FRIDAY!!!. i didnt get anyone take me up on this. so if you cannot supply the music, then your stuck. you cannnot bitch!!! its kinda like bitchen about the president and you didnt even vote! -

Canopy Control / Swoop Camp @ SKYDIVE THE FARM, Jan.28-29
marks replied to CrystalM's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
just to clear up some confusion, this camp is "geared" towards those who want to "learn" how to swoop competitively, and for those that know competition but want to hone there skills better. we also are not turning away anyone who just wants general canopy control advice/coaching. -

ya, that should be former.. all of 3 minutes i think. i really need peeps to "pre-register" if your interested in this, so i can make sure to have all these coaches here. i need a minimum of 12. so lets get it going, it will be worth it. the southeast represented with 7 of the top 10 spots in the cpc finals. we want to show you what we know so you can keep the southeast on top. -
and how long have you been doing this? c'mon,.. maybe im missunderstanding what you said. your not discounting me, ive got YEARS of experience. im not a "would be" tech. actually I assist engineers of a MAJOR auto manufacturer on how to diagnose some of the problems "they" designed. but im thinking i must have missunderstood what you said.

thats a good loading, but it really starts to perform at 2.4, i like it ALOT! at 2.6! how does your PD106R land with that much weight strapped on you - I guess you need to shed it before landing??? ------------------------------------------------- i would drop the weight. 100% sure of that. but im willing to bet that 106 will fly ok with it. got to love p.d. reserves.

And the rest are caused because the car is British? (Thus spake an MG owner). i think mg's and jag's were designed to leak, you can reseal any leak on those cars, just to have them leak again in 5 miles.

most leaks are caused by contamination. if you would like to come sit and look at every car i work on all day, and make a study out of it, your welcome to.. granted, there are other reasons why fluid leaks, but the most common is contamination eating away at the seals and or making them "hard" so they dont seal anymore. drop something rubber in gasoline, and watch it change shape. cars that use internal combustion engines with gasoline have to change oil because of contamination. if there wasnt any, you could chang your oil every 15,000 miles and be fine. this is also why stop and go traffic requires you to change oil more often. also, engines that use "natural gas" dont need there oil changes as much because it is a "cleaner" fuel. also, all fluids "even coolant" lubricate some parts in some way shape or form. if the lubricant wanst there the parts would seize. well these parts wear even with the fluid, and the debris from the wear contaminates the fluid also, which in turn can cause leaks.

good info, thanks chris. isnt there more strict "trim" tolerances on high performance canopies? if so, i still dont see why you wouldnt use vectran on a katana. or are you? and hasnt the "other line" lol... caused some possible problems with "trim" lately?
