  1. well. look at it this way, the way the rules are now, i would compete hand in hand with the same gates as you. you want that? or would you rather have me handicapped, on 5 footers, then also having % scoring system. it levels the feild, trust me.
  2. thats why I say i have a hard time believing he just stared at the ground. something else had to be wrong.
  3. I spoke with somone who had talked to him early that day and they said he was very happy and excited about jumping with the people he was jumping with. didnt seem upset or depressed or anything. I have met him a few times before and was a very happy person that everyone seemed to like. I have talked to a few people at the drop zone, and getting the impression that they dont know either. I have a hard time believing he just stared at the ground. this is very sad, and im sorry for your loss. hopefully more will come out soon.
  4. kinda like freeflying. i like it.. lol...
  5. I want the ability to compete locally. you started alot of this conversation at the end of last season. it went into classes and what not.. and not just for money or bragg rights. but for the ability to achieve a season long goal. what im saying, is have top 10 cpc pilots from last year able to qualify for there pro card if they wish. if not then they can go back into the cpc with 5 footers as a handicap. if they still make it to finals and still get top 10, then the pro card is mandatory for this circuit, or untill there is enough for another circuit. plain and simple. it isnt confusing at all.. you wanted categories, this is the best alternative. it has been spelled out more than once.
  6. my prize money will be donated,"asuming i win some" as long as we can acheive some sort of goal, as in cpc finals or somthing. put a handicap on me, i dont care. 5 footers are fun. give me a reason to compete, and i will be there.
  7. first off bre, re read my post. i dont have any problem with his canopy instuction ideas or knowledge. i do have a problem with him trying to discredit me for two accedents that happened at skydive atlanta. peeps that sometimes jumped at the farm, and whom i have never given coaching to. for the simple fact they wouldnt listen. they crashed at skydive atlanta and now im the one "driving them into the dirt".. whatever dude. the one person that I ever gave ANY canopy controll coaching to that got hurt was jerry, he asked 3 peeps , to my knowledge, about his canopy choiice, me, Ian, and hans. and all 3 of us gave the ok. and now he wants to come here and try and discredit me? who has got the personall vandetta. this all started because i recieved a p.m. from ian asking me what i was going to do for this season, and i said stay in the cpc. then all the name calling began, and pointing fingers and caslling me a sandbagger and then trying to discredit my person and my name.,!!! dont for a second think that i will lie down and take that.. here is the link to the guy i was coachings incedent. read it and form your own opinion. he is a true, honest, and awesome person, thats why I gave him my full attention on canopy controll, as did hans. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_view_flat;post=1656576;page=1;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;mh=25; Ian, i have no idea what has you trying to discredit me for this incedent. I really dont. that is cheap and a low blow. remember, you gave the ok for this canopy also. and he WAS NOT out of his leuge on it. you know that.
  8. point taken, and your 100% correct. it is just that some peeps always want to take you down. Im very passionate about this, because if they take away the chance for me to compete for and end result/ finals. then I have lost the reason that I want to compete. some peeps want to compete to have others look up to them so they can teach them. I think teaching by example is just as good.. point being, I dont want to compete as a guest, I want to be able to have the drive and focus so if i fuck up i loose something, im not wanting money or for somone to put me on a pedastal. i want to compete and win. plain and simple. not comp by comp. but overall, you cant blame anyone for that, thats why there is compitition. I cant acheive this in the pst for the sole reason that i cant afford to do but maybe one meet. because of all the traveling.
  9. yes, chris this is great. but the point of what im getting at, is im not going to these reginal comps for money, im going for the bigger picture, and now that is being taken away. i compete because I want to reach a goal, handicapped or not. I cant afford to do all the pst meets and reach a goal. so I want to go to the cpc and do it that way, one trip a year, and the rest local. it isnt about money to me, and i will prove that by donating all the prize money to a charity of your choice in your name as long as I can have a bigger picture and compete. Ian, your so close minded that you think that im always thinking it is all about me. your egotistacal, self empowerment is rediculus. I have never come to you and said negative things that I hear, or tell you thinks about your personality that i dont like, there are pleanty. yet you consistantly talk around to other peeps, spread one sided roumours to make yourself look better. and speak of the peeps that puonded in, you say "I drove them into the dirt" the farm is unsafe.. ya ya ive heard it all, get your head out of your ass and relize that these peeps would not listen to instructions from me or hans at the dz, therfore hans wouldnt let them jump that unsafe canopy. then they go to skydive atlanta and do jump it and get hurt, yet you spread roumors that the instuction at the farm is infirior, when it is your lack of attention to detail that is the culprit. I canbt tell you how many times ive heard, "ohh that was a product of the farm." when you fail to see that it was on your side that was unsafe because of you letting jump the canopy they shouldnt be under... ya, first time you heard that right? because I dont talk shit and spread rumours about you or your DZ. sorry trey, you know i love ya!
  10. i think you should read my last post, we posted at the same time, it will have answers for you. wich one am I,\ hmm, looks like Ive offered up a good solution, do you think it is a good idea? i do. nobody has offered anything to help correct this but me. in case you havent noticed.
  11. first off, chris. you dont know my agenda and you dont know my attitude on this situation. please dont judge. and as for you Ian, since we are name calling and grandstanding. what have you done to help other newbie jumpers? I work with them every weekend, and sometimes even work with some that are scared to ask you for help because of fear of being yelled at, or talked down to. It seems you let your ego get in the way of what your grandstanding for. my personal agenda, and this was privetly told to Ian, so I dont see why your still name calling.. my agenda was and is to stirr up enough shit to get this issue looked at closely. it is obvious it has worked. now, Ive also added suggestions, you have done nothing but call me names. the only time I see you work with peeps ian is when it helps make your ego bigger, and im proud of the fact that I get under your skin, its like a little kids game to me. I jump with newbies all the time, thats all I do. I dont go get on the loads with peeps and shove others off, I jump with and help progress newbies. If you came by the farm sometime you would see what is being done. the rules in the cpc need to change, we all agree on that. and chris hayes has a way that has been tried, tested and proved to work, and I would like to see it implemented. chris please post some details on how it would work. as for the name calling, I can see where the negativity is coming from. your close minded, and unable to hear what is really going on. then you grandstand on how you want to help others up and come, but that isnt what your doing, your just saying it.athough I do see you do it when it is to your advantage, or your ego is being fed. then you slap others like me around saying my ego is to big. If i didnt stand up and be "the bad guy", you were going to see more than one top 10 guy in the cpc next year. this is competition, if you say you want to stand aside and help other, then fine, do that. I think it will help them more by directly competeing against them. where they have something to loose if they dont step up to the plate. Ian, i toild you last year that you should go get your aff rating, the reason I told you this is because you would learn more on how to teach, i thought it would have been a good route to take for you, because you would understand more now on how ego's work in students or people in general. they wil turn on you if handled wrong. and im sorry for calling this out on a puplic forum, but im tired of the negativity and you trying to put me down. like I said earlier, our goals are the same, it is just how we go about acheiving them that is different. edit: too long and I got to go so no spell check. sorry.
  12. yes it is possible, chris has been doing it in the FLCPA for going on 3 years. i think he has most the bugs worked out by now.
  13. Ian, you know our goals are the same. the way we go about achieving those goals is different. I think my track record of achieving goals is pretty good.
  14. none of us are sure of the rules yet, thats why your seeing the debate. the rules need to be in place in 15 days.
  15. I wouldn't care about my individual respect either. But I do care about the respect of my fellow competitors as a collective. There's a difference but as usual you miss the point. what is sad Ian, is your the one missing the point. your smarter than this, and you have known me long enough to know how I work. right now, I see you working in a counter productive manner.
  16. I dont need your respect. so dont hold yourself to high there. there needs to be something changed everyone agree's. I'm offering up an idea, while your trying to shoot me down. your part of the problem, or part of the solution. do you like my idea? or do you have one to offer?
  17. because I am qualified! so why should I have to qualify? make me a pro, then there will be no worries. get my point yet? there needs to be a rule change.. ok, here we go. we can add and advanced category to the cpc, 5 footers in direct competition with the amateurs in the cpc. yet are disadvantage is the 5 footers. chris hayes has already proved that this is a working model, and i believe it should be part of the new rules. ..... talk it up, i think it is a good idea, it has been in play for,,, this is the 3rd year in the flcpa. chris had a GREAT idea when he started this, and i think the CPC needs to adopt it.
  18. LOL.... \ ya, i know. I get my panties in a wad sometimes... Its just that peeps want the peeps that are going to beat them out of the way, instead of stepping up and being a winner. that gets under my skin a bit, ive worked hard to become what I am, and ive got a long way to go. If they think it is going to be a cakewalk, they got another thing coming. ive gotten my ass kicked many time's. I had a chance, and was in the running for first place at the finals, got over amped, and fucked it up. so, now it is time to fix the things that i did wrong. there is no reason why I shouldnt be in the cpc next year. and there is no reason why any one of these up and comers couldnt "step up to the plate" and take me out.
  19. I cant afford both// i have an agenda, you will see soon.
  20. and exactly why the fuck wouldnt that be good enough for me? the rules need to be changed... IF I or "YOU" are too good to be in the cpc, then we need to be in pro. but that isnt where you or I are, is it?
