  1. sure! if there is money involved. and if this is the same demo as im thinking, I was going on it. but we will see.
  2. did yo send it in us funds or canadian funds. for us to take a check from a canadian, they sometimes charge alot of money. it might not have cleared yet. but then again, the dude needs to get back in touch with you.
  3. huh? not having the stabilizers reduces drag. ---------------------------- anyway, without stabilizers the wing does not "slip" sideways. everyone thinks this for some reason, but it is not true. the turn continuing after you initiate it is perceived as the wing "slipping" but it is not, and it is just a characteristic of the JVX.
  4. this is where I got the numbers. I suspect the turn is usually at 650. or higher.
  5. well you have to understand. someone says they load a VX at 2,5 and says they are doing 270's at 500ft. I don't see how they are not low. on the otherhand, why would't' i believe you? thats why i want to see a video, to better understand what is going on. there could be many factors "why you are not low". but 500ft, on a vx loaded at 2.5 with its standard trim, even with a fast 270, IS low.
  6. ya I know, I saw it. but he only took about half of it off. from what i remember, he didnt notice much. you can't take it all off unless you locate the slider stop somewhere else so the slider doesn't pinch onto the canopy.
  7. you cant tell when the rotation starts and when it ends? have no idea. a ground vid would be better.
  8. he is trying to get a better feel for what is going on with your canopy. something is off if your that low.. and if you want a answer to your original question, turn the velo higher than your turning your vx. if you loading at 2.0 roughly, turn it at 750 ft to start, then work your way down to the power band, probably 650-750 ft. depending on how you fly, and rate of turn.
  9. well, the way it is set up now it is 500 jumps to be in the cpc. they added a handicap system for the more experianced guys to add an incentive to them to come down to the CPC level and compete with newer swoopers and to help teach them. so im guessing what your looking for is already there. Join the CPC and go out and compete.
  10. silly jay, stop by the shop and I will show you in the parts catalog for a 2002 and up 2.5 liter altima, the gasket between the exhaust manifold and pipe is called, yes you got it "a muffler bering". and it does just that, it is a bering surface, more like a bushing, that the pipe can rotate on, but still seal at the same time.
  11. you cant tell anything from that vid, it is from the pilots veiw, with a HUGE fisheye lens.
  12. they are getting better. when you get the right slider size it is ok. the slider HAS to be 29' by 24'.
  13. high center of gravity, and low air pressure in tires = rollovers.
  14. well, is it in customs? i have seen them hold stuff before. did you call them and ask? do you have the tracking number? did you ask for it? call the shipper and see where they left it.
  15. I know what your saying, but removing a bag and pilot chute is completely different than removing stabilizers.
  16. it is a gimmick if you maintain your car. just like synthetic oil. they work , but the reason they work is because you dont maintain your car. if you did you wouldn't need them. tell those ford explorer drivers that died in rollover accidents a few years back that it is a gimmick. if they had nitrogen in the tires, it might not have happened. tires leak air, and they change pressure with temperature. nitrogen does not, well, not as much.
  17. race cars use nitrogen in the tires. they also use nitrgen to run the air tools.
  18. I don't think you going to get your answer, because I really dont think there is one. it is to reduce drag, the faster you go the more drag has an effect. I guess it depends on what your looking for. you wont get any benefit from drag reduction to that extent unless your a top pilot.
  19. we will have the full zone acc course set up at skydive the farm this weekend if anyone wants to come out and practice. water gates and all. some of you cpc, kids should get up here and practice it. your going to have to drag water in colorado to win, or even place. Me and hans will be running it all weekend, your welcome to come out also. we can also give you many tips and tricks with it. if you bring someone to video, I can also debrief you on your swoops.
  20. yup, I already quit. right now im just suffering from quitting. it is getting easier though.
  21. me too. it sucks. alcohol makes it almost unbearable. so i must quit that also, just for a bit though.
  22. day 10 for what? im on day 13. and yes, the bar is tough. i think i will have to quit drinking.
  23. keeping fluids, flushed and clean prevents leaks, and the degrading of hoses. you keep the fluid clean for the life of the car and it is likely you won't get a broken hose.
