because, a few years ago, when i went and had the best time of my life, i found out a week or two in advance there was less that 150 people pre registered, im sure there is the same number if not more now, due to the internet being so much bigger. if you go, you will have fun.

VX vs Velo: 270 turn starting altitudes
marks replied to frost's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
vx loaded at 2.1 i would turn from 550 ft. (really really fast) upo to 750 ft, (really really slow) velo will dive a little more but i did about the same with it. same on the jvx also. these are loadings of 2.1 if your loading a vx at 2.1 and turning slow at 550, your in the corner. probably way too much so. you are probably turning alot faster than you think. but then again, it is a 111, but still that seems low for a slow 270 turn. -
this is worth repeating. also to add, they bring the great skydives. so go, make it what you want, have fun.

Delibac wins 2006 Overall Southeast region
marks replied to chayes12's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
great attitude denise, we need more people like you. i hear all to often, "im not going to compete because I wont win". and I can't tell you how "TRUE" that is. you will never win if you don't compete. and if you don't compete, you will never know what it takes to win, or hell, even place for that matter.. congrats tom, you to dave! stick with it denise and start working those 270's and you will be surprised at how much better you get with accuracy hitting the gates. -
don't be, just go. you will have fun.
-
hahah.. you know, this is exactly the type of thing skydiving as a whole needs, some way to bring it to the public. this is just the beginning.
-
well is she hot? don't blow peeps off as crazy too quickly, it might be a blessing in disguise.
-
do it right or don't do it at all.. wait for the gasket.
-
but if you get a jvx, it doesnt have the sail material. it is made out of ZP. pack volume is normal. that JVX you are talking about isnt a "normal" JVX
-
you were doing cool until you got to that. personal problem? personel problem? not sure what you mean. your right though, maybe i shouldn't have posted anything. but that landing area isnt HUGE. it might be in the best interest of them to be selective on who competes in it, thats all i am really trying to say.
-
the JVX packs smaller than the vx. due to lack of stabilizers and having the small HMA line. you must be thinking the one made out of sail material.

i think this is a big part of it. plus the fact money is tight for alot of companies. contact jim slaton and have him promote a swoop event. contact eric darren with "team mandrin" to promote a vrw 4 way comp. those two things alone will bring peeps.
