Less than a year after starting to skydive I embarked on a career change. It has greatly interfered in my skydiving activities ever since. Well, last week I took my state paramedic exam and passed! Finally done! First EMT, then Fire, then finding a job, then finishing paramedic, now it is ALL OVER!!!! Alleluia!

Wow, put another 2 jumps on the Phantom this weekend. I am so addicted to the nylon crack! I even did my first "mini-flock" with a Phi and Gti. I have only ever had people follow me out after a delay so this was my first time being next to other birds in freefall and O M G!!! Giddy just thinking about it!! How very f-ing cool!!! WEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! I have been having trouble getting the legs zipped up in the plane, so this time i zipped up on the ground and climbed into the caravan with no problem due to that beautiful wide leg wing. The only other thing i don't like is the neck seems a bit too tight, it was a minor annoyance the first couple jumps but got much more frustrating this past weekend. I suppose I could get it fixed, right? But I hate to go without the suit And HOLY CRAP do my arms hurt!! What kind of exercises do I do to help that out (besides jump more)? Push-ups? I thought I was a strong chick but wow they are still hurting. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU so much Robi & crew for such a beautiful suit!!!

Hehe!! I got my Phantom on Thursday, had to wait till Sunday before I could jump it (work sucks) The suit is beautiful, the colors turned out to be awesome, and the construction is top-notch.

Any of you had bad customer service related experiences you'd like to share? Do any of you think people in this business are way more lax (or maybe just more relaxed) than other businesses? Or do you think I am totally off my rocker? (I am by the way) Upon the advice of good friends, I will postpone my recent experience for a couple more days to give this lady a 3rd chance..... I do. She does get lonely but she doesn't get along well with other cats, so I just deal with it and try to love on her a lot when I am home. I got her when she was 3 from a shelter, so I knew what I was getting.... This shelter was a no-kill shelter, so they had a lot of normal cats, but they also had a lot of cats with issues.... I had a ton of cats to choose from! You have no idea how many people give them up! This shelter was so cool! The way they had this place set up, with big rooms full of cats, they could roam around on carpet-covered objects. They had little info charts that stated bad habits... cats who peed or sprayed on things and what kind of things. So, you could pick out what kind of issue you wanted your rescue cat to have, basically what you could deal with. I knew I wanted a dog(s) eventually, so I knew I would only ever have one cat. So I picked out one who it stated can not be around other cats. I also felt I couldn't declaw a cat, and where I lived they said she had to be declawed, so I was able to get one already declawed. The horrible thing was, someone declawed her and she was obviously already an outdoor cat. She escaped all the time and meowed incessantly when I kept her locked in. So, now I let her out to enjoy life, even though it means she might get killed by another animal. She got beat up real bad by a neighboring tomcat once, and I was thankful all I had to deal with was a $150 bill and a sick kitty for a couple weeks. As far as cats spraying or peeing goes, don't let it scare you away from getting one, Sometimes they do this if they aren't fixed early enough. Otherwise, it is because they aren't getting the attention they desire. Hopefully you can use this info to help you pick the one(s) right for you and your family

As children we are so very brainwashed.... I grew up hearing (and believing) that one of my uncles was taken away by the monks in some far eastern religion, and he was the black sheep, even though everyone else in the family was either a drunk, drug addict, or MUCH worse. Then I grow up to find I am the new black sheep of the family cause I am unmarried and have provided no grandchildren and I .... drum roll please... skydive! Well, that and my uncle left his monastery. Now that I've gotten to know him, I realize he is the MOST SANE of the entire family!! How bizarre things can turn out once you grow up and start seeing the world with your own eyes. And and BTW, I am completely miffed my brother stole my title last year and I have yet to win it back Unbelievable. "I know it's friday night, but come on. My roommates just moved out, so I am adding my WPB, FL home to the list below. 1 master bedroom+bath, 2 couches in a 2-2 1/5 townhouse(I'm never home) kids and dogs very welcome! However, my cat would not allow another feline in, sorry. Prefer non-smoking skydivers, but we can work something out if not... PM me plz! I would love to have you here! And, as posted below, there are *TONS* of jobs here, especially in Health Care and Construction. Oh and the snowbird season is starting, so we need seasonal, hospitality, and retail too. And my Fire Dept is hiring at the moment: EMT/Firefighters. Unfortunately, we have hurricanes, too. If you want to relocate, I'm unsure if this is the place.... I just sent an email to the WFFC, their website says their email is: WFFC@freefall.com and just recieved a failure notice saying that they are no longer accepting email??!!?? Anyway, what I need (and know that all you wonderful dz.commers can find for me) is the vendor contact info for: Pitts bi-plane and The Custom T-shirt vendor (I know he's based in Quincy) I have paid for things (way back on the 8th) and still not recieved them or even a phone call explaining. I waited patiently because they might not have had time in the hustle of the convention, but it is long over and the mail isn't THAT slow I am sad and really, really want my stuff. This could very well be my computer, because it has been acting up lately, but the only place on the internet it happens is in the forums (and subsections of the forums, like PM's). The font on the page is HUGE! However, the dz.com bar at the top of the screen still appears normal, all the way to the edit profile - messages - search posts - etc strip. The rest of the site is normal as well. Anyone else having this problem? It has been since late last night and I have done a restart and everything remains the same. Ideas? Edited to add: I saved a copy of the main forum page and am attaching it. If anyone minds, could they open it and see if it looks normal? Maybe that'll help determine if it's my screen or not.
