    hey Mike! I will have to be honest that right now your face is escaping me. If you were there the weekend before Bridge Day then it wasn't me you met because I was in Atlanta. I feel your pain with it being cold out. It hasn't been a good winter so far for jumping in the cold here in Michigan. My cut off is 40 degrees and we haven't seen too many of those days lately.     Dang! That suit is bright. Don't you that in RW your suit should be dark colors? That way when you screw up you blend in with all the other dark suits and you can just blame someone else ....not that I would do that or anything.....

    A good percentage of us at Tecumseh (and probably SoBe) jump Samurai's. I absolutely love mine! No swooping for me yet, that is one of my goals for this summer. I put a bunch of jumps on it this past summer to get use to it, but really want to start putting it through its paces this summer. ~La La Gang Member #2~

    Great! Hopefully the weather does hold out. Make sure you say 'hey' if you are there. I have a Mirage with Skydive Tecumseh embroidered on the side of it. Hoping to get a bunch of freefly jumps in , but will be bringing my RW suit too...just in case. From what I hear though, not much belly flying goes on there! ~La La Gang Member #2~

    I'm crossing my fingers for good weather!! The weather report today said it is suppose to be 70's and partly cloudy pretty much all week and weekend. So HOPEFULLY, the weather doesn't change too much. If it does....oh well...at least there isn't any snow on the ground in Florida ~La La Gang Member #2~

    I use to jump a Turbo ZX 145 and never had a slow opening. I called it my cracker jack canopy, because like in a cracker jack box and the prize inside, I never knew what kind of opening I was going to get It is not an airlocked canopy, but is a hybrid of ZP and F111 ~La La Gang Member #2~

    My landings aren't quite THAT fast I can see how it would feel pretty 'freeing' (is that a word?! ) to jump barefoot. Our landing area at our DZ is pretty grassy and flat, an occasional gopher hole though, but I would hate to have a great landing and then take a step into some dog poo or something . Also, shoes offer a little bit of support. But, fly free if that's what you do ~La La Gang Member #2~

    Mine stays snug where I put it throughout the skydive, I jump a Mirage G4. I try to loosen it once I get under canopy to open up my canopy a bit, but it is kind of hard to do since I start with it snug, and plus it kind of freaks me out to loosen up my chest strap. I know it isn't a bit deal, but just kind of wierd to get use to. ~La La Gang Member #2~

    I totally agree with you. I use to wear tevas when jumping, but after tripping a couple of times when the front of my teva caught the ground or my toe got dug into the ground, I switched to Vans. Maybe I am just wierd, but I think tevas make me fly a little different too, acts a little bit like a rudder. ~La La Gang Member #2~

    You are right, most of the stuff is that way. But I did happen to catch the best representation of skydiving on the History channel once. It was on the Golden Knights of course. But they showed footage of 4-way, 8-way, freeflying, hybrid dives and talked about how they swooped their Stillettos. I was in such awe, I have never seen a TV show be so accurate when talking about skydiving. And to include a hybrid dive, I was in awe! And Congrats Deuce! ~La La Gang Member #2~

    I think you sum it up pretty well in your post. These people are kickass skydivers, the even cooler part is they are kickass women skydivers! I can't wait to be even half as good as these women someday, as you said, 'I wanna be like all of you when I grow up!'     I love the fact that my SO is a skydiver. We vacation together, at WFFC, Richmond etc. of course. We spend every weekend together at the dropzone. He is usually busy doing tandem videos but I manage to squeeze in a jump with him every once and a while. We usually do our own thing at the DZ on the weekends but share a beer together at the end of the evening. I absolutely love that fact that we share our passion in life together. I think having a whuffo for a SO pretty much comes down to, it works for some relationships and not for others. ~La La Gang Member #2~
