  1. You are right. In the hands of a competent video flyer a wide angle is a good tool. I was refering to it's use simply to keep the subject on the tv screen. That is why I discourage the use by beginners
  2. I'm not saying this is a good system. I was looking at this more from the angle of if it would change peoples behavior if they knew people had to like them for them to be here. For the record with my current attitude I might be a little worried about this system.
  3. Damn, you mean Dublin wasn't really a boogie? Sure was alot of work to not be a boogie.
  4. I was looking at another forum the other day and you had to have two sponsors before you could read or post on the forums. Your sponsors could also withdraw their sponsorship at anytime. I'm not sure what happened if your sponsor lost their sponsor. How do you think this would effect DZ.com if a system like that was put into place?
  5. I guess it would depend how big the boner is.
  6. We had a rescue cat that looked just like that once.
  7. That reminds me of a joke we were thinking about doing. When the term boogie really started to be over used we were joking about having a boogie and advertise all kinds of exotic planes. Then throw a party at an aircraft museum. We were going to call it "The no jump boogie".I thought it would be funny but thought better of it because I figured it could get out of control and I know people would be pissed if they didn't figure out the joke before they got there.
  8. I have hours of raw footage. I never made copies of the final product. I'll see if I can figure out how to upload here
  9. Links were posted here sometime last week or over the weekend.
  10. The problem with trying to compile a list like that is who decides what gets on the list. There are some really great events that have earned the label "boogie" and then there are the places that have the "We are grilling hamburgers boogie" every other weekend. I'm afraid all you can do is follow the buzz here and check the listings in Parachutist and Skydiving magazines.
  11. I don't demand that much in a video. -Reasonable length video (not the 3 min. ones) -Decent interview(not "lets go skydive" and the next scene is climb out) -Video close and in frame and in focus(not so far away that you could use one video for all and they would never know) -Not head down -I prefer no wide angle(they are a crutch for people that can't keep their subject in frame and people generally don't like having the camera shoved in their face for the close shot. I also think that the video concession should have some sort of uniformity in videos. This does away with one customer being upset because their video is different from their friends.
  12. Why not SFW. It's just two guys fishing and drinking beer.
  13. So you really can make a living skydiving and free food too.
  14. They are only worth what people will pay and at $200 I think you would see a reduction in video sales.
