There are several people I know that have left the sport for whatever reason. Some of them I have tried to keep in touch with but I have found that many seem to want to severe all ties to the sport and people. Maybe they think that we want to talk them back into the sport, I don't know. I just think it is odd that people that you hung out and had good times with just disapear never to be heard from again.

Back in the day, before the coach rating. The experienced jumpers would just jump with you. They didn't need to be bribed or have their slot covered. You might not get on every cool jump but they would work with you and help you get better. Of course that was back when the experienced people could actually build formations bigger than 3 ways without hurting each other. Alot has changed in 9 years.

If I were them I wouldn't go around tooting the no fatality horn. That shit can change in a heartbeat and it can be no fault of theirs. I wonder when it happens if they will change the website to read "Only one fatality in x number of years"? It's kind of like USPA patting themselves on the back last year because of the low fatality count for '07. Haven't heard shit out of them this year have we? Vote two here for PM a Mod, get it fixed and chill out. I'm sure it was not done on purpose.

I have yet to see anyone use the term "acceptable loss" except you. I asked you a simple question and you avoided it. I think most have gotten your point. So again I ask you, Do we ground all student gear till it can be modified. Or should we just order new and throw the old away.

I was surrounded by so many deaths leading up to Lees it was tearing me apart. Lees death was a hard blow but something in it made me stop dwelling on the pain of all the loss. I still miss him I just can't dwell on the loss and pain anymore.
