Well, that is a part that I do not perceive happening for the time being. You are right, and I feel the same way, it is not worth it to work hard for the future sacrificing the present. It has been 2 years, and the fact that I lost all of it...(read $=0) no assets, I did rebuild my life back and learn one valuable lesson. It is weird, for I am back into living life to its fullest, and she is a total wacko. It is so bad, that I was the one that had to file for a restraining order, and requested the court to impound my address of the new house I bought (new 4 me).... The problem I faced is that even under those circumstances I did not feel like a victim, but the whole system, treated her like she was the victim. I was glad and don't regret my time, and all the love I gave her, for I did never expected anything in return, but a family. The sad part, my daughter, who is the real victim on all this, was totally overlooked by this so called court. It is brutal in there, for the system is biased when the women call wolf, based on lies. That is my point, it should not be a matter of gender, and would like to see the system change, were the courts will really be concerned for the children first. but regardless, I did win the battle on my childs front, at least her mom has changed her dangerous drinking, druggin habits, and realizes that she needs to take care of her, when under her roof, and has come to terms with the harsh reality of life, that she will not be able to never, ever again will find someone who loves her as much as I did. And my daughter prefers to be with me

I think that in the end, we both have that in common, give up everything not to deal with their crap anymore...I can't complain about it, is just the shock I got when entering the courts and witnessing what really goes on the courts, with the complacency of the whole system. It seems that it is bent on making us the guilty party regardless of the facts, proofs and teh unreasonable doubts when presented. That is all. We have little rights to defend ourselves. But I do totally agree with you, and glad that you also overcame all, for not all the material things is what really make us happy. Blue skies!
