It has happened to me only once. I don't think that as in anything else in life, absolute rule of thumb applies. Many big DZ do welcome newbies, foreigners, etc. But yes, ther has been only one and only one so far, were people were way stuck up....(not the staff). PM me and we can exchange the stories... Yep, most of the time, it takes time to get situated, check the winds, study the map, see what others are doing, etc..... There has only been one and only one DZ where I've have felt the people in there were obnoscious. Not the stuff, fun jumpers. But hey, take a few to see your surroundings before gearing up and jumping, it does make a difference!
