  1. Pssst..But this thread is about American politics.
  2. In academia, this is possible. However, in some societies, compassion is looked upon as weakness. For which, death is easily promulgated. At which time, you decide to pontificate your text book Bravo Sierra to people that have practical knowledge of the worst man can engage in, please advise. If you go back a little further, let's say- American Revolution, the French did more and sacrificed more human lives for our liberty then any of the above stated. However, remember WWI and how many lives the US sacrificed for Europe. WWII- over 240,000 American sacrificed for European sanctity, once again. We can argue semantics of Teddy Roosevelt's big stick policy and you'll see that it doesn't even add up to a drop of water in a toilet bowl. The US is inherentely good. "Find a man not willing to die for his country, and I tell that man to go find a country he is willing to die for." Judeo Christian morals and ethics, verstehen Sie? And for tomorrow's lecture, bring your copy of the Magna Carta "Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel."
  3. Here. Feel free to browse your gateway.
  4. Host-country??? Care to explain? When discussing American politics from afar, one can be considered a guest. However, if one were discussing German politics, I would assume one would be hosted by Germany.
  5. Points to ponder. Most humans base their moral character on faith. Whether we like it or not, Judeo Christian beliefs, morality, and ethics are based on religious teachings. Anyone who quotes "The President, Ronald Reagan" is ok in my book.
  6. He wasn't, nor were the countless other openminded philosophers of the time. They did allow our fore fathers the insight to create a document that has stood the test of time. ehh?
  7. God bless you. You have an incredible grasp of our language. Glad Aliens choose to learn the language of their host-country. The reply was in reference to the original post and other innuendos concerning.... "I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights. " The Bill of Rights which includes the Amendments. Which includes the Second Amendment. Got it?
  8. Have you read any John Locke lately?
  9. Have you talked with our fore fathers lately? If so, ask them how Elvis is doing.
  10. Why should International Law supersede your 2nd Amendment?*** At the UN last year, entities outside the US tried unsuccessfully to abolish private gun ownership in the United States. "An armed American is a citizen. An un-armed American is a subject."
  11. Once again, an ill informed, pseudo intellectual, miss-interpreting the intent of our fore fathers. Our fore fathers were for separation of church and state but were obviously morally grounded. And to say, this quote represented starting a Christian theocracy is absurd. Our fore fathers intended for a government that was free of church rule (check your history books) but still inspired by Judeo Christian values. "Justice that is not tempered with compassion is tyranny"
  12. Ahhhh...the rantings of a gun hating Lib. I wonder if the "progressives" feel International law should superceed the second amendment, as well.
  13. Seems the same thing happened to Pam Foster when she forwarded it.
  14. Letter from one 'Angry Woman' I don't know who wrote it but they should have signed it. Some powerful words. This woman should run for president. Written by a housewife from New Jersey and sounds like it! This is one ticked off lady. 'Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001? Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan , across the Potomac from our nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania ? Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they? And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was 'desecrated' when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet?...Well, I don't. I don't care at all. I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11. I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia I'll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry for chopping off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat. I'll care when the cowardly so-called 'insurgents' in Iraq come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques. I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide . I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights. In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care. When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners! who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college-hazing incident, rest assured: I don't care. When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank: I don't care. When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed 'special' food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being 'mishandled,' you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts: I don't care. And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled 'Koran' and other times 'Quran.' We! ll, Jimm y Crack Corn and-you guessed it-I don't care !! If you agree with this viewpoint, pass this on to all your E-mail friends. Sooner or later, it'll get to the people responsible for this ridiculous behavior! If you don't agree, then by all means hit the delete button. Should you choose the latter, then please don't complain when more atrocities committed by radical Muslims happen here in our great Country! And may I add: 'Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But, the Marines don't have that problem' -- Ronald Reagan I have another quote that I would like to add AND.......I hope you forward all this. 'If we ever forget that we're One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation gone under.' Also by.. Ronald Reagan One last thought for the day: In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the Anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England 's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America , he said: 'A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in.. And how many want out.' Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you: 1. Jesus Christ 2. The American G. I. One died for your soul, the other for your freedom. AS MANY SEEM TO FORGET BOTH OF THEM. AMEN!
  15. OK- I guess it's personal. But, glass houses and all that... Maybe he confused your AFF jump with a Para-Ski jump. I thought you lived! Due process, my friend.
  16. Edit: Oopsie..... You already posted it. I just got it in an email
  17. Where in my post did I say that? Somebody up thread asked "if he was a skydiver". Go pick apart somebody elses post.
  18. Fish, not sure why you posted this either. PK is one of the greatest Para-Ski competitors of all times.
  19. If you would just start smoking already, you wouldn't have this problem.... Comon'....all the cool kids are doing it!!
  20. "501- now get it done" "Low man buys beer"
  21. Yesterday, while shopping, I spotted a pink Caddy. What caught my attention wasn't the driver, who looked an awful lot like Elvis- but the person sitting in the passenger seat. He had red hair, freckles, and was holding a cracked motorcycle helmet. IT WAS POTATOHEAD!!! Right there, in Albany, New York!!! When I yelled his name, he looked surprised, put on his sunglasses, and told Elvis to hit it! I got in my car and tried to catch up with them, at which time a UFO levitated the Caddy into the spaceship- and away they went. I don't think we'll see him for awhile- at least until he gets back from Mars.
  22. I have an 8 month old Rhodesian Ridgeback that loves to chew. The Kongs has been a success with him. I stuff the kongs with creamy peanut butter (he doesn't like chunky) and freeze it. He loves them and it occupies him for at least an hour or two. The only other chew toy, that he is allowed to have and likes, is bones. However, they only last a day or two at most. I'm looking forward to the rest of the replies.
