  1. Hopefully, they'll have some left over for water storage and treatment!
  2. My Neptune Society card is in my wallet, and they know where to send the ashes. BSBD The Neptune Society The Neptune Society plan includes: 24-hour availability of our staff Removal from place of death Transportation to a refrigerated holding facility Procurement of one certified copy of the death certificate and cremation permit Professional and administrative services as required Cremation Container Cremation* Urn The return of the cremated remains to the family or scattering at sea Travel protection to cover you when you travel away from your home* I wonder if I would get shit for putting down The Neptune Society in the contacts area. That's awesome. I love it.
  3. I'm glad you have a plan. But, the 'right thing to do' and people listed for you is different than mine. What is right for you isn't right for everyone. Doesn't make them wrong. Any person that I would think of listing are on the DZ with me.
  4. I never said speed dial. It's my damn phone book. Phree mentioned DNRs, power of attorney, etc. in the other thread. Well, you aren't going to get that info from my waiver. but, if you want it that bad....call the attorney.
  5. I did, at first. Tried to edit and got denied...sorry! My point really isn't that complicated- excluding whuffos. I think we are on the same page there. A friend can check my car, look at my cell phone and see 'Dad'- shit, they can even get my attorney's number too. . Some of them have his number in their phones as well. Anyway, there are so many people who act like this is such a shock. When, in reality and on the DZ, it is not. But on DZ.com, god forbid anybody does something that isnt by the book.
  6. Ever hear of lumbarization? I have an L6. I was doing some reading and found that people can have 4-6 lumbar vertebrae, with 5 being most common. But that was people, not turtles. How do you know I'm not a turtle?!
  7. Ever hear of lumbarization? I have an L6.
  8. I think you came up with a good game plan.
  9. I think it is impossible to please all the parents, but possible to please all the players. At 12 years old, everybody on the team was happy to be part of a winning team. However, this mindset was developed over the years. If your goal is varsity level players, a 'pep talk' at the beginning of the season is always a good idea. By this age, many of us went to basketball camps (West Point/Fordham/Oneonta/etc.) during the summer and invested quite a bit of money. Our coach did not ask for parental input. You can't please them all. In my opinion, catering to the parents can/will be the detriment to the team. If we gave up the title to a team we beat 2 weeks prior because our coach 'polled the parents'(eta: instead of the team), most the team would have walked or petitioned for a new coach.
  10. I played basketball in this age group (7?-8-13) for 5 years. We had great team chemistry and played to win. Mr. Chelaro (still remember his name!), was a great coach and made it work (suicides comes to mind). Anyway, by age 12, I think winning is important and should be the primary goal of competitive sports. Also, my last year, I switched schools and was forced to join another team. The coach was terrible- and so was the team. That's the year I quit playing. If the coach didn't care, the team didn't care. Why should I?! A couple girls from Mr. Chelaro's team went on to get scholorships.
  11. It's a game show called "Press Your Luck". No Whammy!
  12. Give it to the packers at the DZ. I think the pancake mix would find a home in some main canopies.
  13. I am O+, they have quite a shortage of O, so I feel obligated, as well. Glad it worked out for you this time. (Tues vs Fri)
  14. Being O neg, I feel an obligation to donate blood. Just wish it was more convenient.
  15. Now that I am involved in the family business, my father and I fight every time I finally get him on the phone. I haven't fought with my mother in 20 years.
  16. Very nice. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. This thread should never die.
  17. Exactly. It is no secret that Mark has another job obligation. He has mentioned before that he was on a 3 week assignment that ended up taking 3 months. He posted a couple notes: He most likely got called on another assignment. If you have work that you want done by Mark, perhaps you should expect to wait and have back-up gear to use until he can get to it. In my opinion, he does great work that is worth the wait. Writing to him on this forum that he can't read or have access to isn't going to make him magically appear. I know Mark, and when he is back and aware of the issues, he will address them.
  18. Of course the wealthy and powerful get better treatment. They also pay more for it. The ones I know aren't upgrading from coach to first class. They have a private jet and a black card. Why is this such a problem?
  19. You want an honest opinion? It sounds like you came up with an excuse not to jump with your friends. My mommy will flip! Whatever. Do what you want to do. I doubt what is said here, online, will change your mind.
  20. For real people.... It will fly straight... Your toggles aren't going to magically fall off. Gosh people are paranoid! Look Ma, no toggles!!
  21. I just showed 2 other people your video. We all loved it. And, I just packed his gear using your method.
  22. Creamy Brie topped with raspberry preserves wrapped in puff pastry dough and baked.
  23. When canopies are new, it's much easier to enforce jump numbers. There used to be a jump number for Velos, too. However, as they start to become sold as used canopies, it's impossible for manufactures to enforce jump number requirements.
