  1. Those bags look awesome!! I hope RWS thinks of something similar....or I can work out an aftermarket d-bag switch for my Vector - that would rock!! I hate stowing the lines most of all!! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  2. Well, after all that blah, blah....I've consulted several people who feel that it should be spelled to read what I'm trying to say - so the "official" spelling is now: AIRIAL VISIONZ In case anyone cares!!! Much ado about nothing, really!! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  3. which reminds me foz... when are we running away together???!!! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  4. Lew - you poor wee thing!! How's the leg?? Thanks for the info...yup - I meant to spell AIREAL wrong...get it....AIR...and then phonetically EAL. I've got an accent over my E in my logo. I'm still playing with that one word, but I've decided on the two words for my name...and the last one stays as is. I'll look it up and google it as well - thanks for the suggestion. Actually thought of it last night, but have been so busy at work today. So, how's the leg?? I hope you heal up well and quick! PM me or email me re: your Bonehead...I don't think we finalized anything - and I'm still interested. And I guess we can expect you to p-whore a bit more now that you're "laid up"!!! I trust Cajones is taking good care of you!
  5. Please forgive my ignorance here, but what does this mean?? I put my d-bag in the normal way you would on a terminal opening (lines at the bottom, bag on it's side). Is there some other way to pack so that an 'un-modified' rig opens a bit more reliable with BM suits on?? Knock on wood, so far I've only had one line twist in 8 flights and it wasn't even a full one at that. Any insights would be great!! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  6. Good Idea, Thanks!! At this stage...probably not too much web work, but I can't say later on. Something to think about though!! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  7. Yeah - I saw that too. I'm guessing with the name spelling and the difference in words - I should be okay. I hope Tom doesn't think I'm trying to steal his thunder, but if he has concerns...he can contact me about them. Until then...I'll hang my sign out front and proceed accordingly! Dating in the US

What sucks is when you actually try to connect with someone and they are on this "protect myself" first plan.... ...it just ends up in a game of chicken.... she thinks, "I'll wait until the first thing he does that I don't like - and boot him out" he thinks, "Man, this is great. Hope I don't blow it!" Next thing you know...he's blown it and she's gone! I agree with you mama...it's easier to just chill out at the dz and stay home on the weeknights! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  9. HOLY SHIT!!! Sis is back online!! Man, it's great to see you're posting again (or was this a once off??) How are girl?? Missed you...'s been ages! PM or email me to chat...would love to catch up! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  10. I know this is a silly thing to put on the forum, but I've decided on a name for my (new to me) production/tandem dubbing "company". I didn't, however, want to take the name of someone else's company if they've already established themselves in the sport. So, if there are no objections brought forward.... AIREAL VISIONZ is now requesting "TradeMark" status within the skydiving community/world. If you, or someone you know, have this as your name (or a variation)...let me know. I'll go back to the drawing board with one of my earlier conceptions. Thanks! [edited to change to TradeMark - so quade is happy!! just having you on, sir....I appreciate the correction and information.] Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. 11. Welcome!!! Might see you out at Monroe, or in Thomaston with the FFF in Oct! Both are GREAT DZs....and have good "beer light" atmospheres! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  12. Cool pics Lou!!! I can see that Padowan has fully recovered from his 4th of July "neck meet risers" incident! I think the fence will have a longer lasting effect on him though!!! Glad to see you're amongst us now, Padowan!! I did only one jump this weekend, but it was a solo flock with a sweet suit I borrowed...and I played around with getting unstable and recovering. Man, is that ever some hairy shite when you're used to having your legs act independently!! 's ALL GOOD!! Might see all you guys in a couple weeks! Looking forward to it! 13. Ummm...75 before my first one (text book line over - uneventful cutaway and reserve ride), and 146 [and counting...]since!!! KNOCK ON WOOD! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  14. Quade - that has got to be one of the most ingenious methods for sighting a camera!!! Still, don't you think it would be easier/faster to find someone (possibly another camera flyer) at your dz and get them to sight for you? Having sighted for others before - it really isn't that difficult and takes about 1/8 of the time your method does. I guess you have lame people at your dz, but MAN what a mission just to sight your camera!! Reliability would never be an issue though! Still - if you're the only video flyer at your dz - I can see how this would be brilliant!! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  15. I got a long sleeved one and LOVE it...after only on FF in it...the stitching in the underarm is coming out. I've been warned about it by others who have used them that it happens. Sucks, but I guess my $30 can only last so long...before I have to re-invest! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  16. Let's see..... - 5 schools between Kindy and Jr High - 3 different countries - 1 Jr High School - 1 High School - 3 Jr Colleges - 2 University - 2 different Countries And, I KNOW it's why I have issues!! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  17. The other side of the coin is also as ridiculous... if you make mention of a woman's looks, personality, or charm...and she isn't offended BUT the girl next to her IS....that TOO is SH! Wow...I wish it worked that way with guys. A woman hits on a guy in a bar, and he rejects her...can his buddy step in and take up the slack?? Man, there would be a lot more happy men out there if he could!! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  18. Share and share alike!! I agree with Clay on this one....after being intimate in most of the ways that one can be with a lover....what's sharing a toothbrush going to do??!!! After all - it isn't like your using something thats dirty, like her toilet paper when she's done with it. She uses it to BRUSH her teeth...and the toothpaste keeps the brush clean...then you do the same. It is no LESS dangerous than eating off each other's utensils! Someone said it earlier, but me thinks you all are a little bit prissy!! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  19. What's all this, then, about believing in DOG??? I used to nwo one....of esruoc I believe in DOGs!!! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  20. Could it be that Raeford Parachute Center is unleashing a virus that elminates our productivity on computers and forces us to go the DZ for a couple of days???!!! Man, why didn't I think of that!!! What a great idea!! Thanks TonyT and Raefordite!!! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  21. [pyke sits at his desk....very, very, VERY BORED...having done NOTHING all day thanks to this virus] AAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!! "Tension breaker.....had to be done!" [quietly resumes boredom for at least another hour] Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  22. Sorry to have misled you both about my "8 jumps" thing....I guess I even didn't realise what I meant until now. "At least 8 jumps" works for me...but I'll use some of your experienced tricks in the beginning to set up my own pattern and get proficient with it. All I need now is the helmet set-up...and I'll be in good shape. Bummer that the person I was going to get that from is now in bad shape!! (vibes to Lewmonst!) Thanks both of you guys, quade and Chiba for your insights!! I had a great weekend last weekend - I hope you did too!! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  23. Man, can I totally relate to her situation! From what it sounds like - She did almost the same type of thing to break her femur as I did to break mine. Man, it sucks! All my good vibes for ya, Lew!! It will be a hard earned 6 month wait to get back in the sky, but it's worth it!! Best of luck! (Guess this means I'll be waiting a little longer for your Bonehead!! j/k....all in good time - I'm in no hurry!) {{VIBES}} Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. 24. Hey all, Have done a search for posts on battery life, but have found little that talks about how to optimize it. I've heard a couple of people over the years talk about running it down and charging it up 3x before you get the "full" time on it. I've heard a couple other theories too, but wanted a "global" sample of ideas. I've just purchased a TRV-22 and it came with the M-series battery. Have heard that these only last about 8 jumps...is that long enough for a day of jumping?? Also, bought a 3 hour battery made by Duracell for it. The Duracell battery seems to run forever, but I can't say how long it would last for a day of jumping. Anyone have experience with it. Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. 25. In reality - and my experience with hiking/backpacking - I would have to say that the lightning was "attracted" to her because she was possibly on a high point of a rock, in a meadow (or clearing of some kind), or she was near a tall tree or structure and the lightning "missed". While this is damn funny to read (albeit I feel sorry for her!) piercings represent hitting a target the size of a postage stamp on something say the size of the state of Texas! If our piercings made us likely targets for lightning - then anyone carrying change in their pockets would be a target also. The only way lightning would have "known" to hit her was if she was poking her tongue out at the time (possible catching rain drops)...and if you're doing that in a lightning storm...there's more wrong with you than whatever possessed you to hike in one in the first place!!
