I was hoping to get you hammered but it sounds like you were a bit under the weather. Sorry to hear that! We took care of business for you as a group and thought about ya. Next time, I'll come down for my birthday and you can get me hammered, k? But I'm sure I'll get to meet you before then. Happy Birthday and blue skies! Roy Bacon: "Elvises, light your fires." 7. I was an Atari/Nintendo addict. Kind of like I am a DZ.com addict now. I was never much into dolls, but I did love collecting the Strawberry Shortcake dolls because they smelled so good, especially the big strawberry shortcake doll that blew the strawberry kisses. Oh and I forgot to add my roller skates. I used to roller skate every day in the summer with my dad down the Venice Beach Boardwalk from the time I was 4 to the time I was 11. Roy Bacon: "Elvises, light your fires." Sting: "Be yourself no matter what they say."
  8. Waaaaaaaa..... Roy Bacon: "Elvises, light your fires." Sting: "Be yourself no matter what they say."
  9. I don't know if I'd call it "doing time"... that sounds more like a prison sentence. But yes, I lived there and still own a house there. So there is a place called Da Kine's in Mission Beach? Boy how I miss those plate lunches. Shoyu chicken, macaroni salad and Kim Chee. And all that fresh Ahi right out of the "backyard"... Next time I'm in SD I'll look you up. You've got a deal! We'll do plate lunch at Da Kine's, sounds great! Roy Bacon: "Elvises, light your fires." Sting: "Be yourself no matter what they say."
  10. When I am feeling rich, I go for the double shot cafe mocha from Starbucks or the gingerbread mocha. When I'm feeling poor, I go for the 1/2 hot chocolate 1/2 coffee. At home, I like the Hawaiian Mac nut coffee with french vanilla creamer. Mmmmmm.
  11. Re- Does anyone hate finals as much as I do... Rsponse- Does a bear shit in the woods??? Roy Bacon: "Elvises, light your fires." Sting: "Be yourself no matter what they say."

  13. Thanks Quickdraw and HappyThoughts, its nice to know there is enough love to go around. Roy Bacon: "Elvises, light your fires." Sting: "Be yourself no matter what they say."
  14. I have spent quite a bit of time in Idaho, mostly in Boise. It is a nice state if you are the outdoorsy type. Buy a raft and lots of beer in the summertime and head for the Boise River that flows right through town. The bus will pick you up and take you on an hour bus ride upstream. Get on your raft with all of your beer, a friend and some suntan lotion. By the time you get back where you started you will have a nice tan and a great buzz. Lots of people like to wakeboard there too or wakesurf while being anchored by a tree. In the wintertime, hit Bogus Basin for some pretty decent skiing/snowboarding. Idaho has nice lakes for waterskiing if you get lucky enough to meet someone with a boat and gear. There is great fishing, hiking and beautiful places to camp. The Bruno Sand Dunes are pretty cool and northern Idaho is especially beautiful. If you enjoy golfing, the Coure De Lane (spelling?) golf course is spectacular. Also check out Sand Point and Lake Ponderrei which is the biggest man made lake in the Pacific Northwest. Lake Payette is also a beautiful place to go stargazing and camp. Idaho isn't the most happenin place to be if you are used to the busy nightlife/party scene. But some of the nicest, warmest people I have ever met live there. Roy Bacon: "Elvises, light your fires." Sting: "Be yourself no matter what they say."
  15. Well Bytch, We didn't get any votes on this stinkin' thread. Okay, so I am not feeling any of the love (sniff sniff) . That's okay we can drink to that this weekend. So I think just about all the women I have met on this website are extremely cool. My personal favorite was Holly though. And speaking of Holly, she also had the coolest avatar, too. Edited to add, wait the Bytch did get a vote. Hmmm Roy Bacon: "Elvises, light your fires." Sting: "Be yourself no matter what they say."
  16. Well Steve, I can definitely feel your pain. I think it is hard to date whuffos when you spend most weekends and free time at the DZ. Most whuffos just don't understand our love for the sport. I also work at the DZ on the weekends so even if I did find a cute someone I'm interested in, it poses a unique challenge juggling that work/relationship thing. I have been there done that work with/go out with/skydive with the fellow co-worker at the DZ. Got the T-shirt and everything. It is all good fun and games until someone loses an eye in that situation. Really it all depends on what you're looking for and the people involved. But if I had to vote based on the odds, I would say go for the skygoddess or recreational jumper. Although, if you could hook up with one of those cute volleyball chiquitas and convert them from whuffos into jumpers, that may be the hot ticket. Good luck, its a jungle out there Roy Bacon: "Elvises, light your fires." Sting: "Be yourself no matter what they say."

  19. LMAO, I can only picture Chop Chop having this experience with the HotDog Nazi. Sounds like his dogs must be yummy though if you keep going back for more. Roy Bacon: "Elvises, light your fires." Sting: "Be yourself no matter what they say."
  20. I am at school and not working. THis DZ.com thing is way bad and way addictive. Its like a bad drug addiction or something. But I have looked at some people's amount of posts and wondered where they work and what they do. I have asked myself, don't these people work? I want their jobs! Roy Bacon: "Elvises, light your fires." Sting: "Be yourself no matter what they say."
  21. There has been some interesting study research on the "big T", "little t" type personalities correlating with a need for more stimulation/adrenaline which finds many of these people doing extreme sports. It has been a while since I studied this topic in psychology so I am going to try and lead you in the right direction instead of going into too much detail about what I vaguely remember. But I do remember reading about there being some kind of genetic correlation of a Tt gene which gives someone a propensity to be a thrill seeker. Depending on the environment you are exposed to and grow up in, that may intensify. These people generally get bored with "daily life" and seek to push the limits by taking greater risks. I am sure if you did some web research you would find out what I am talking about. I also have heard of people getting into skydiving to help a substance abuse problem. Finding that there is more to life than getting high all the time and that adrenal highs can be achieved without drugs. As for me, I only do what all the SkyGods in my head tell me to do, I get pretty pissed off in the winter when there is no sunhine (SAD) and I can be kind of a wacky manic chick when I drink coffee and/or Mountain Dew. HeHeHe look out! Good luck! Roy Bacon: "Elvises, light your fires." Sting: "Be yourself no matter what they say."
  22. Hey SkyBytch, I'd love to be on the attempt. I may have to actually work that weekend though (imagine that), since I am coming down to get you hammered this weekend and won't be at my home DZ next weekend for mommy's day... but I will let you know. If you guys do it on a Thursday, Friday or Monday I may be able to make it. Roy Bacon: "Elvises, light your fires." Sting: "Be yourself no matter what they say."
  23. -Welcome to the Jungle -In A Daydream -Playing with the Boys (Top Gun Soundtrack) -Mighty Wings (Top Gun Soundtrack) -Fall Down (Toad the Wet Sprocket) -Fly Away (Lenny Kravitz) -even though if I hear that song one more time I am gonna puke -I've Got Big Balls -Supertramp is always good to listen to at the DZ so it may be good for a party -Jump Van Halen -Californication & Scar Tissue (Red Hot Chili Peppers) they are not skydiving songs per say but my ex taught those guys to skydive and their music is always upbeat Speaking of music ... does anyone know the name of the music that was being played at the Blue Water Boogie in Arizona this year? THere was some kind of techno or trance music and I thought it rocked. I'd like to get some copies of it but forgot to ask people what it was that we were listening to. Thanks and blue skies! Roy Bacon: "Elvises, light your fires." Sting: "Be yourself no matter what they say."
  24. Both? Roy Bacon: "Elvises, light your fires." Sting: "Be yourself no matter what they say."
