Harsh but probable. I've seen riggers who shape it like an "H" when it goes in the molar bag. That means there is a fair amount of fabric between the grommets and therefore under the poptop. You have to put on a hell of a lot of pull force to get that sucker seated! I've seen one at 50lbs+! Also, the bulk will settle, and the more bulk under the PC, the looser it gets exactly i think i would rather have a rig thet is easy to repack. and one that i won't get charged extra! i am looking at buying a rig and the reserve is a decellerater?(dunno if i know how to spell it properly) couldn't find it anywhere in the fourums. does anyone know of any good/bad information on them, they have a t.s.o. etc. and are made in south africa, i just read an article on tempo reserves and how the bar tacks can rip on them so i am a bit sketch! racers are ugly!(in my opinion) i own one and jumped it for 700 jumps i thought it was comfortable too. now i have a vector3 and that shits all over the raceer for comfort. when i was in australia i was being charged up to $60 more to pack it.the pop top always comes loose after a few jumps and lines get snagged on it every time. if you ask someone who ownes a racer they will tell you they are great and if you ask someone who doesn't they will tell you they are not! just try a bit of everything. try out different harnesses and choose for yourself "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix

does the canopy say icarus gyro? from what i understand gyro is a guy from auckland, new zealand and has been making canopys for many years. i'm a snowboarder also and i use burton a.k. power stretch liners most of the time they have p.v.c. on the palm i have done about 500 jumps in them and they are still going strong(put your canera helmet on before the gloves), when it is cold i use burton a.k. windstopper fleece gloves and when it is really really cold(minus 30C) use both(toastie). not the cheapest but have outlasted all the other windstopper gloves everyone uses at my d.z. just my thoughts "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix

at my dz we still use film but offer the photos on c.d. for an extra charge, although i know bugger all about digital cameras i still think slide film will never be obsolete for portrait professionals. just like the best d.j.'s are still using vinyl rather than digital. digital has to be the easiest and the average punter knows nothing about picture quality and just wants some pics to remember the jump! i'm confused! we have to buy digital cameras this summer! hi there my indian friend, this diploma course was primarily intended to fill the many commercial skydiving slots in new zealand by new zealanders. until recently most t/m's have been imports so the govornment even subsidises the course for new zealand resedents. i am not too sure of the cost now but when i did the course (2002) it was $7500 for new zealanders and $12500 for overseas students! this makes the course far more worthwhile for new zealanders but not completely a waste of time for overseas students if you are dedicated. if you want to work you would probably have to do it at night time as you will be expected to be at the dropzone any time it is possible to jump. accomodation in christchurch is between $60 -$100 for a room if you move into an establised flat or a little more for a hostel. need to know more? all good info. i agree except i don't think a sony .6 would be anything like a kenko .43 (couldn't be, could it?) and the drouge shot should be taken from completely below the tandem so all you can see is the customer and the drouge and the tandem masters face sticking out from behind! that is the money shot if you ask me.
