It would be a blast to be able to fly your canopy around fixed objects....like paragliding. As far as blade running is concerned...if you are trying to get the max performance out of your wing, then it can get dangerous, but if your just flying low to the ground in the mountains...well, it's all dangerous! Then again you did just jump out of an airplane ...FUN FOR ALL!

I keep hearing about doing CREW to prepare for BASE. I am assuming this teaches you skills for controlling your canopy with ALL (7?) inputs. But in base you never actually do any CRW, right? Are there specific maneuvers that CREW folks know that you don't use anywhere else, except BASE? What are they? ...FUN FOR ALL!

What is the difference in flight of x-braced canopy? Why are you able to fly such high wing loading, yet not ready for x-brace? Why don't they make x-braced canopies at larger sizes (or lower wingloading)? ...FUN FOR ALL!

I agree as well. It is not the direction that your harness makes you lean that compensates for the turn, it is the side that the force of gravity is being applied to. I would like to know if there is a "Physics of Skydiving for dummies" book or article written anywhere. I think that it would be great if people who never studied physics could learn how things happen from a scientific point of view. Should I start writing...I am kind of a dummy, but I do understand physics. ...FUN FOR ALL!

I don't intend to stow it to my suit or anyting else, I am wondering about it hanging under the lip of your helmet... Lets say if you cut away and you are on your back and your slider is under the lip of the helmet and canopy wants to go up and you want to go down. ...FUN FOR ALL!

I see what you are saying, but my physics studies tell me differenly. If the force was applied directly toward and away from the PC and the larks head, you would be pulling on two pieces of break cord. I know that practical experience is worth a lot more than theoretical calculation in these situations, I was just trying to calculate the whole thing out (nerd style!) ...FUN FOR ALL!

One can think of the difference between RW and freefly like the difference between Drafting and Coloring. One is a little slower and more methodical, and the other....well you throw a bunch of freaks in the sky and watch the colors blend! Once you get all the people off of that 1-d plane that rw seems to get stuck in, then it is really like flying. ...FUN FOR ALL!

huh? If you want flat against your skin, get a wetsuit. The jumpsuit helps, besides 125 lbs and a enough material to make the jumpsuit fit are not going to cause you problems. Make it fit, then fly it! ...FUN FOR ALL!

If you want a pattern you can go to a fabric store where they sell patterns. Look through the catalog of patterns where they show different types of clothes. Find the teenage punk kid wearing hughe bell bottom looking rave gear and buy that pattern. Patterns also tell you where to sew and which peices should be sewn in which order. And if you are lucky there are hot chicks at the fabric store. ...FUN FOR ALL!

The key is the inseam length with your rig on and tight. It may seem baggy, but if the inseam does not go all the way to the bottom of your foot with the leg straps tight then the legs are probably too short. If you try to hold the cuffs down, when you tighten your leg straps, you will get some funky results. ...FUN FOR ALL!

This is correct. When you tighten the leg staps, nothing can keep the cuffs down. Add a couple of inches of material with some elastic at the bottom, and you will be in action. ...FUN FOR ALL!

I just meant there are more things to do while paying attention to other pilots that are doing the same thing. Anybody ever have problem cutting away after stowing slider behind helmet? I would hate to find myself hanging from my main by my helmet or something. ...FUN FOR ALL!
