I think it is like letting a rowboat go down a river...it may tend to turn up river if you are holding the nose from solid ground, but once free, it will go any which way it wants. Of course a canopy will fly straight (hopefully) without input, but does it seek wind ...um I don't think so. ...FUN FOR ALL!

I thought it was 23! That might depend on the number of seatbelts, and if somebody is allowed to ride in the co-pilot seat. ...FUN FOR ALL!

Sometimes the more experienced ff's have forgotten how to LEARN to sit. As a current student of ff...I would say this: It has been a bit easier for me (and my buddy) to stand than sit. I found it easier to go to a near stand (legs slightly bent) and then progress to control fall rate. AS long as you can fly the recliner, it should be easy to go into a stand and then bring your legs up. Not that this is the RIGHT way, but it seemed to work quite well for me! ...FUN FOR ALL!

Be up front and honest in that scenario, and hope the word spreads. The moment you put broken glass and no treaspassing signs, is the night it will get jumped! ...FUN FOR ALL!

I was told that it had to be witnessed by one S&TA and to have it in my logbook by another... I am not sure which it is. I guess I will have to get some video of it. ...FUN FOR ALL!

Does the owner of any object ever want their object jumped? What makes the beacon any different? What is the difference between DZ ban threats and say...Jail time? ...FUN FOR ALL!

How are you able to get so many jumps in in 1 year. I am hoping to get to 100 by my one year point...and I will probably get 120 or so...But I want 300! ...FUN FOR ALL!

Lots of threads on this. The basic component is when can you afford to buy? If you downsize you canopies safely, you should be able to fly your first WL at 1.0 or less for at least a hundred jumps maybe even 200. I was told to get something that I would grow into, and I would have been just fine getting something that was big enough to be safe and learn a lot of stuff on. ...FUN FOR ALL!

Is it a skydiving helmet...The pics make it look like an old motorcycle helmet...Pretty cool though! ...FUN FOR ALL!

I typically eat altitude, bugs and other flying stuff, and every now and then...I eat shit! (Especially on that unicycle that used to be hanging around the dz) ...FUN FOR ALL!

Around here it is kinda treated as a post - jump day party. Over to whoever-has-a-pool-'s house...get in the water with a rig and canopy over your head and get out without the rig. Then drink beer for your first canopy in the water. ...FUN FOR ALL!

Must there be a qualified witness to the manuevers requirement for a B-license? OR is it something that you put in your log book, and have it signed off later? ...FUN FOR ALL!

So, as long as it is an AFF instructor it would be ok? That is good...those of us without home dz's have trouble getting these little things taken care of. ...FUN FOR ALL! -
Everyone seems to agree. The most tactful way to go about something like that is to ask why. Then you have ability to make observations and point things out to the person with out being accusatory. ...FUN FOR ALL!

I tend to trust people, sometimes too much. This person is an exception to the rule and we should not let it change our perspective. Keep an eye on your gear all of the time...your life depends on it. ...FUN FOR ALL!

I don't know. I look at it and guess it could be 70 ft + and I know there are taller palm trees. But what about Giant Sequoias or Redwoods? ...FUN FOR ALL!

I thought those might be areas of the rig that you are qualified to work on. But that makes sense. ...FUN FOR ALL!
