  1. I'd recommend a gay-frame .38 https://www.google.com/search?q=j-frame+.38&es_sm=91&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0CAgQ_AUoAmoVChMI8ObvoaH1xgIVCjs-Ch2WOg-6&biw=1211&bih=918#tbm=isch&q=j-frame+.38+pink Seriously tho...they don't look like much, but they pack some good power top. Very comfortable...a good fit for a first-timer. Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  2. Ya, too bad...if only Moses could've explained more clearly, perhaps it would've had a much more profound impact on society... Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  3. The gospel of satan is anything that distracts one from Christ. Evolution in and of itself is no more sacred/evil than money...it's just the way the world works - it's the people who make it evil...for example, Dawkins/Madoff. Evolution is just an observation of how life works after it was created, and it shouldn't be confused with the conjecture and speculation of abiogenesis... There may be a concern that evolution challenges the idea of a Young Earth, but we can't bitch at scientists for documenting what they observe. If a tree has 100 rings, then it's 100 years old. It doesn't matter to them if we say, "but, but, we saw God make it yesterday!" They don't care what other people have seen...they've already denied the scriptures. If God showed himself today, they'd rather think they're nuts... Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  4. My point was that the idea of "dinosaurs on the arc" was not even an issue on the Texas BOE, but it gets all the attention as if it were...btw, I owe an apology for my foul mouthed comment about Texas conservatives. Personally, I just don't see any spiritual benefit coming from conjecture beyond that which has already been written. The guesswork of mishmashed animals on the arc is as about as spiritually enlightening to me as primordial soup... I would just prefer that people focused more on Christ...that's all. Arguing about dinosaurs isn't gonna save anyone... ...but then again, while I was contemplating my reply to you...I went off on a rabbit trail and found some answers regarding the current issue with my fiancée. I just want to say thanks, again... Thanks for your replies and thanks for your prayers. It works... 1 Corinthians 2: 1-2 And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. There's certainly a time and a place, but it gets to the point when I really start to wonder if politics, creationism and dinosaurs can become the center of one's faith... 5. Public schools should not be teaching about Noah... and the damn dinosaurs on th Arc.... That doesn't appear to be one of the officially proposed changes/additions. It was the interviewer who brought that up hypothetically as he was "leading the witness" being interviewed. The editors then spliced the soundbites together for dramatic effect to make it seem as if that was actually the issue. It seems that much of the text in question is more social/political than religious. It puts a conservative bias on economic issues, free enterprise, taxes, social security, healthcare, the civil war, slavery and other social issues such as the LBGT movement. Many of the criticisms seem to deal with the fact that some issues just aren't being addressed in more depth....but this will always be a problem as you can't just teach everything in one book - someone is bound to get pissed off. Though there seems to be quite a few religious issues in question, the majority of the criticism focuses on how the founding fathers are depicted as having been influenced by Judeo-Christian ideologies such as Moses and the Ten Commandments. Other criticisms deal with how various religions don't get "equal time." In some instance Islam was explained longer than Judaism, and in other instances the text seemed to assume that students were already familiar with christianity. Of all the religious criticisms, I think there were only 2 that actually dealt with Christ. It had to do with how the text stated that Jesus believed in equal rights. I guess people were concerned that that may give kids the impression that God was the authority on equality - OH, the horror! Teach kids that crap and they'll be all fucked up for life![/sarc] But hey, of all these criticisms, lets just talk about the one that has fuck all to do with the issue, because, you know, dinosaurs on the arc are more divisive and makes for an easy strawman to beat down... 8. No...I've had pleasant discussions with others from various religions, specifically in cafe 1923 in my home town. http://www.cafe1923.com/ Other times I invite door-to door JW's and Mormon thumpers into the house. What religion are you? When did you ever speak about it? When did you ever listen? I have no religion. I have tried and studied some and found them to all be a load of crap. Ok, then you asked a really stupid question... Agreed...is that your experience in Texas? Can you explain to me why conservative morons in your beloved state of Texas are turning Christianity into a goddamned fucking circus? Edit: There....I said it. 10. Oh sure, because that was the important part. I'm sure this game of conveniently forgetting what you actually said seems very clever to you, but you'd be much better off just being straightforward and honest. The game of selective quoting is an ongoing theme with you... What I proposed would allow other state BOE's act independently of Texas and California with regard to their influence on text books. Just curious, what exactly do you have a problem with regard to How the California BOE influences the nations text books....do you even know? What exactly do you have a problem with regard to how Texas influences the nations text books? Also, do you believe it's a good thing that kids in the year 2026 will still be using the same raggedy ass text books that kids use today, rather than a digital app? 11. Oh sure, because it's that easy. Hey, I just figured out a way to end world hunger - give everybody food! Job done, Nobel Peace prize please. Oh sure, because the current system of printing millions of overpriced dust collectors is sooo much easier than producing millions of digital copies. Even easier, let's just bitch about a few lobbyists promoting their point of view. Hey, damnit...look at that big bad bear shitting in the woods! Ok...after watching the video again, I shouldn't have criticized the publishers integrity - It's not like they are being asked to print lies. Also, in the beginning of the trailer, they mentioned how both Texas AND California have major influence on text books, but then only go on to tell how the big bad Texas conservative christians influence the books... I suppose it bugs me that people rather use this as a political/religious jab rather than looking at it objectively and using it as an opportunity to advance technology. Regardless of your political views, we should be asking why is it that we are still using text books in this day and age, especially when they allow Texas and California to dictate their flavor of education to the rest of the "sovereign' states? but overall, it just bugs me that the OP titled the thread "Christianizing text books..." What does hip-hop vs country music and BHO's name in text books have anything to do with christianity? Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  12. Well there's the thing, creationists don't want to 'let' teachers do what they want. The Creationist's/lobbyist's power would be limited in the simple stupid resolution that I proposed...I thought it was obvious. Nah mate, you brought corporations into it. No one else was mentioning that at all. That's kinda what I was referring to in post #25... You also stated that if the lobbyists aren't appeased, the publishers would go out of business and the poor public schools would have no recourse...as if the students would be left hopelessly abandoned, staring aimlessly at liberal teachers banging their heads against the blackboard with thumbs up their ass. 13. Exactly...cops aren't mind readers - that much is apparent. That's why they probably shouldn't shoot unarmed victims. I mean, there wasn't even a shiny object to blame... Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  14. No shit... right, but being a confused dumbass high on meth and alcohol while trying to explain to the cops that they got the wrong guy, should not be a death sentence. The cops should know better... If you can't handle the job and constantly fear for your life, then quit...you should know what you're getting into. 16. Would you prefer there to be no textbooks at all? If the lobbyists manage to get the board of education to change the requirements then publishers will have to make a book that conforms - otherwise they'll go broke and schools will have nothing to use. lol, really? Yeah really. How do you think it works? To hell with text books...let them join the 21st century. You can get a cheap tablet for like 30-60 bucks. Let publishers cut costs and provide several digital editions that allow schools to pick their own flavor of bullshit and then let the teachers skip over whatever content they don't feel like teaching - just as they do with current text books. It's not like teachers ever finish the books in a year anyway...it's elementary. But who knows...maybe you people just like bitching about how a lone creationist in Texas can hypothetically bankrupt a global corporation simply because he believes dinosaurs boarded the Arc, lol... 18. I've stated many times that I think any insight into faith should be taught at home or in the church, not by some secular liberal atheist in a public school. ...but if we are to have general religion classes that involve christianity, I would prefer they limit it to the integrity of how Christ conducted his life...most people don't have a problem with that. Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  19. Indeed. When presented with specific examples of things that lobbyists are trying to shoehorn into textbooks against the wishes of teachers and educators your response is that your just fighting back against 'Liberals, and things liberals do'. No examples, just a blanket assumption that liberals are bad, and things liberals want must be bad. You're exactly right, it is disgusting Well, the flip-side to that is how people are using this as a blanket jab against religion without one word against the publishers who are catering to these people....but you know, they're just trying to make a buck! To hell with integrity - we just want to bitch about christians! Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  20. You mean like those who are going ape shit over some guy that they believe has the power to unravel the fabric of our humanistic liberal society by dictating evil christian lies into every text book and brainwashing our defenseless little children? What message is that? To believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Noah saved the dinosaurs? Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour

  22. I don't understand why this is not getting more traction. It checks off all of the boxes; green energy, sustainability, carbon neutral etc.., while filling the tanks of F-350 duellys. Why isn't everybody getting behind this? Dude, this tech has been around for awhile...some here in the US have even lost their lives/livelihoods over it. 24. I'd think he'd be happy if people finally followed His original plan for marriage. Genesis 2:24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. The verses you posted simply allow for polygamy in much the same way as divorce was allowed in cases of infidelity. Matthew 19:8 Jesus replied, "Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. If we go beyond a superficial glossing of the text, we can see that polygamy is not the ideal, but more likely an allowance to accommodate societal problems of the time. The ideal standard for kings and leaders was not polygamy. Deuteronomy 17:17 And he shall not acquire many wives for himself, lest his heart turn away, nor shall he acquire for himself excessive silver and gold. 1 Timothy 3:2 Therefore an overseer must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach... Titus 1:5-9 This is why I left you in Crete, so that you might put what remained into order, and appoint elders in every town as I directed you— if anyone is above reproach, the husband of one wife, and his children are believers4 and not open to the charge of debauchery or insubordination. For an overseer, as God’s steward, must be above reproach. He must not be arrogant or quick-tempered or a drunkard or violent or greedy for gain, but hospitable, a lover of good, self-controlled, upright, holy, and disciplined. He must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it. Again, Your superficial glossing of the text overlooks the fact that it was because of Solomon's Polygamy that his heart turned away from God. 1 Kings 11:3–4 He had 700 wives, who were princesses, and 300 concubines. And his wives turned away his heart. For when Solomon was old his wives turned away his heart after other gods, and his heart was not wholly true to the Lord his God, as was the heart of David his father. I doubt he'd want us to follow in those footsteps... Matthew 17:1-5 And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James, and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became white as light. And behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, talking with him. And Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good that we are here. If you wish, I will make three tents here, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah.” He was still speaking when, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; LISTEN TO HIM.” Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
