    also, just another thought about Canada... It was always looked at as the land of freedom...19 years old legal age, Cuban cigars, Casinos, full nude strip joints that served alcohol, topless broads on the beach and prostitution...Windsor was a party town... so many women, but some of my buds would still get prostitute BJ's just because they were legal...fucked up.     Modern interpretations say that there will be a World order functioning under a universal currency.... Recent events seem to support that direction. China's market flips out and we feel the effect. We're all connected now...it's what we've been working toward. Things will get even better - it's predicted that there will even be peace in the middle east, Yay! ...but apparently it won't last long, go figure, eh?     That's a more nuanced position than most people have. It roughly describes how I feel about the death penalty. I don't feel sorry for the few criminals who get executed, but I do feel it's a place we don't need to go. So I feel sorry for us for going there. And for those who end up having top do the actual work of killing people. Your logic about public funding is a little fuzzy though. Abortions are not funded, but many of their other services are. If they lost all public funding for all services it would hurt many of the people who rely on them, not just those who choose abortion. oh, ok...well as long as we're clearing up fuzzy analogies, let's not forget to equate the mothers to criminals and their children to victims....     Ron has been talking about this since the beginning of the year. He posted an article from March saying that if this Shemitah is anything like the last two in 2001 and 2008, then we might expect another major collapse in September...how is that vague? Personally, I'm more excited about the upcoming 70th and final Jubilee, where we free all of our slaves and prisoners - and forgive each other's debts....Yay!     Even inflation-adjusted, price would have to drop to under half of what it is now, to approach either a recent (1998) "record" or the long-term price from the 60's-early 70's. Do you see it going there? We've been paying about $2.50 up over here in MI...if we cut that price in half, we'd be right there at the 80-90's prices. Seems like we're right where we should be....     In a rational (ha ha ha) market the price of a stock represents a balance between those who think they will make money by owning it, and those who don't. In the real world, emotion takes over, and emotion is far from rational. Just like religion.
