nope... not really. I just look at what I want something to look like and just do my best to fake my way through it. Or if its really complicated I will dissassemble an old one, making changes in my pattern to correct the things I didnt like. But they may be out there. Hookitt: you should be jelous... I got no attachments. but its a lot of work. and I mess up alot. My rigger can just look at ya a build it to fit, close. but thats after years of building. takes time I spose. and dont freak when you see how much cordura is! Looks like youve got a great pattern going there. Although you may have made the bells (what else do ya call em?) to short. my first pair was too short. I like mine to start at about the knee. dont know why... just asthetics I sppose. the stich looks good to me, but you see the frayed ege on your red material (check attach) is where I had my problems. Ill take that and roll it over so that is no loger "exposed". Disclaimer: i am by no means qualified to coach, teach, or advise on sewing. Im just aspiring to grandure. I have no training on said subject, and mostly just fake my way through it! Good Luck! LMAO... i dont think anyone could have put it better. My PT is going well and my trainer/therapist is positive I will be able to walk for extened periods by Haloween! I found that you really have to watch then ends of your fabric that are "exposed". My first pair: material in the cuffs frapped around so much it frayed down to the stich, and eventually blew up. My machine has a overlock function so I use that to sew as much together and then roll the exposed end of the fabric under and double stich it from the outside. much more industrial but a bit longer to do. I use a heave weight cotton for the main parts of my pants and canvas/denim for knees, butt, and the bells. dude... I have modified a few pairs of pants for freefly... better than the bought stuff, and cheaper. I have 2 machines, but my rigger has 3 (one will sew webbing, and your fingers together), and a serger (pimp ass shiznit). I like it. just recently attempted my 1st RW suit w/o a pattern. It turned out ok, but I got my torso measurement wrong and it doesnt fit right. my guess is psychological/mental. Reason being, increased stress due to the loss of a loved one increases chances for illness, plus is shortens the live span. Im thinking thats a lot of stress. sorry for your loss, I hope she gets better.
