Recently (past 6 months or so) Ive noticed getting winded more easily than in the past. i just figured it to be my falling out of shape, past smoking habit, and other variables. I think I may stop and pick up a Primatene inhaler for a just in case. That way if it does act up again at least I have a little something. I dont expect I'll run again till Monday so I'll have plenty of time for me to be "over" this last experience. thanks for the link! 8 x 8 and I have a couple bosses, but i really dont get any assignments. its up to me to do the things I need to get done and how I do em. So, because I'll work like a madman for 2 or 3 days. I typically start breathing through the mouth as soon as I start my run. I focus not just on the pace of my run but the pace of my breathing also. Ive NEVER had breathing problems before. Ive run in cold, hot, humid, dry. You name it. I spent years working outside in labor intensive positions while smoking. I quit smoking nov 1 2004. the research ive done suggests that cold, or pollen, or other items in the air can spark the problem. I was just curious as to why now. Ive got the running bug again, and yesterdays run felt really good, but Im not sure i wish to chance it till I get this sorted out. I know Andrea had a good post going about her son on this a few months back, but I had an uncomfortable situation yesterday, and was wondering a few things. Here's the deal. For the first time in probably 3 years I decided to go for a run. Not a long one (only a mile) and not at the pace I used to run. I used to run nearly 3 miles a day 3 days a week. Even though Ive put some pounds and dont have then endurance for it, I figured a nice liesurely pace would be fine. I jogged mostly and walked a bit of the mile. Got it done in just over 11 mins. Toward the end of my run I found it tough to catch my breath ( i figured just out of shape). so I get in the house and really start having trouble breathing. Not what I'd call an attack (ive seen people have those) but I did have to sit down and focus on staying calm and breathing slow. it lasted a good 15-20 mins. the kicker is: This is the first time its ever happend! any one ever hear of it setting in at 30? Im doing gobs of research online, and from what I can read lots of factors could induce it. It was cool (low 70) yesterday, and its spring. I spose I have to go see a Dr. I really dont like Dr.s. OH yea?! I stayed up till the wee hours tryin to finish this editing project for the weekend. and failed to make sure I had enough room for the project on my drive, so... with 10 seconds till the end I max my hard drive out, ok start deleting shit. but b/c I was all the way though a bottle of wine and nearly 2am I managed to delete the audio file for that final portion of the project. so guess what Im doing at work this morning? I really dont have much else to do. Yea i got some projects, but theyre not due for weeks. Why not put them off. I could be editing video, but people walking buy often come in my cube and want to know what Im doing with that wierd stuff on my screen, and then want to talk about skydiving. making it known to people in the cubes NEXT to me that I wasnt working. Pwing is much easier to hide with some wacky excel sheet or publisher file. Im gonna go check some of these out in a min. Actually what Im working with is skydiving vid (duh) I have already unlinked the audio from the original (just wind noise) and using music in the audio tracks. I place song on on the Audo 1 bar and song 2 on Audio 2 bar. so with out adjusting the volume each audio track play simutaneously and equal volumes. What I am after is Audio 1 fading out as Audio 2 fades in. Then I can adjust audio 2's position so that the beat/rythem closely matches each and is smoother. i used the audio controls (just as you would a board with linear editing) and it took. i had tried this last night to no avail. I suppose thats just the joys of editing in a MS environment. I have Premiere 6.5, and oddly, I can find no audio transitions. I have effects, but no transitions.
