  1. Great -- even the people watching the morons are morons. . . =(_8^(1)
  2. I haven't heard what would truly be an effective solution to our violence problems yet. Have you? . . =(_8^(1)
  3. I don't know what the real stats are either, but there have been three school shootings in the US in the last seven days. How long before it's daily? When we start seeing the shootings on Page 2, we'll have a good indicator. . . =(_8^(1)
  4. Of all the reasoning I've heard back and forth on what to do about school shootings, this seems the only solution that would actually make a difference, short of a real US cultural change, which would take many years if it were at all possible. These school/mall/workplace shootings are becoming weekly events. . . =(_8^(1)
  5. I'm not in the camp that believes it's "wrong" to eat meat. But the way we over-produce and over-eat the stuff today, at least in my realm of the US, is disgustingly "wrong" on several fronts. . . =(_8^(1)
  6. We are designed to eat meat. But we are omnivores, so eating meat is a choice. In today's world, most people who eat meat do so because they are ignorant (or don't care) about the negative environmental and health issues in doing so. OTOH, people who aren't ignorant and who do care choose not to eat meat, or at least refine their meat-source choices. . . =(_8^(1)
  7. It is moving away from North/South America several inches a year. . . =(_8^(1)
  8. As Kallend would point out, those decisions are made by school boards that parents vote in. So it's the parent's own damn fault. For some reason, education attracts more from the left than the right. Not sure why, but in any case, schools that eliminate competition are run by liberals so far left, they're off the map. Their goals obviously don't match the views of the very folks who vote them in. . . =(_8^(1)
  9. And miss a good laugh at your expense? Not. (thanks for the local perspective though) . . =(_8^(1)
  10. Does he frequent airport men's rooms? . . =(_8^(1)
  11. But the real advantage is how much healthier you feel today, and how much you contribute to a positive environment today. Don't give a shit about that either? . . =(_8^(1)
  12. No, wasn't asking for names, just an idea of just how someone can be a properly convicted felon, yet not be considered a bad decision maker. Now, if your argument is that people can reform thenselves to become good decision makers after a conviction, then I wouldn't disagree with that. But the "system" has no way to gauge it. . . =(_8^(1)
  13. Examples? Unless you are talking about someone who's been falsely convicted (that's a whole new topic), I'm having a hard time imagining who you are talking about. . . =(_8^(1)
  14. Easy - they have proven themselves to be the wrong sort of people to help decide who represents the rest of us. Felon = bad decision maker . . =(_8^(1)
  15. At least you're out there collecting up your own meat supplies. There's a lot to be said for that over buying it from the animal death camp sources. . . =(_8^(1)
  16. No argument there. My problem is the cruel and environmentally unsound way they are raised today, to feed an unhealthy, uncaring, over-indulgent, fat-assed society. Relevance? Dogs and cats do also. . . =(_8^(1)
  17. So if a person throws litter around everywhere because he just doesn't care, that's not an indication he's also ignorant? no. Well damn if you didn't head THAT argument off at the pass. . . =(_8^(1)
  18. Ah yes pigs, whose IQs are higher than that of our cherished dogs and cats. The way they're raised in America's meat mills, they often go insane before meeting a cruel end to their prematurely shortened lives. . . =(_8^(1)
  19. So if a person throws litter around everywhere because he just doesn't care, that's not an indication he's also ignorant? . . =(_8^(1)
  20. I think eating all of that good, natural food eventually killed Euell Gibbons, didn't it? Yep, the old adage is true -- eat right, excercise, don't smoke, die anyway. . . =(_8^(1)
  21. So you gonna answer my question from a few posts above? Or is anything beyond "I like poop" too much for you to process. . . =(_8^(1)
  22. I actually heaved slightly when you got to that one. Blech!!! . . =(_8^(1)
