You don't know either one of them. Didn't say I did! Was just asking the OP! You are always rude to me. Talk to the hand. I've tried for years to be nice to you. Hand, that wasn't rude.

  12. Bytch... I'm confused... are you asking... 1) What's people's opinion on the mfgr and/or FAA not getting the word out better that one shouldn't pack a Softie over 20 years old? 2) Your inference that one rigger / dealer dime'ed out another rigger to the FAA is f'ed up? Or are you just not so subtly trying to pass the word for folks to watch their ass when it comes to old gear they're not infinitely familiar with? [edit] Um, I'm sorry... or weren't you asking anything, just saying?

Are we talking the sober LisaH or the drunk LisaH here?
  14. Like lots of others have said, I think either Perris or Elsinore would be just fine. My personal opinion only... I've always been somewhat suspect of "package deals" in skydiving for a lot of reasons, but the largest of which is you never know what's going to happen on the next jump? Even with 1000s of jumps under my belt, I very very rarely buy blocks of tickets because the future is uncertain; will you show up at the DZ next weekend and find an "UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT" sign hanging up at manifest?... and in the small print... we won't honor tickets sold by the previous owners! I've seen it happen. Just food for thought. Also, I've seen folks really really stoked after their first jump, try to progress through the student training, get a hand-full of jumps into it and find out its not for them. I'm not poo-poo-ing package deals, just something to think about or at least definitely ask what their refund policy is if you plunk down a bunch of cash for the whole progressing, get a ways into it and decide you want some of your money back, what happens then? (i.e. you do a few jumps and decide skydiving isn't for you or you get hurt, either/or both happen)... OR... if you pay for a package deal, what's the time limit (if any) where you have to finish the progression? If you do end up going through the student program, graduating, getting in to skydiving AND staying in the sport past the 5 - 6 years "tourist" phase, you'll then know that the VAST MAJORITY of folks who show up at a DZ, do a tandem, do an AFF, or even do tandem and then a handful of AFFs, move on, never to be seen again. Again, just something to think about before shelling out a bunch of $$ up front vs. paying as you go on something, statistically speaking, you're likely not to get into in a big way. Whether you pay for your student jumps as you go or all at once before you even jump them, is up to you. Good luck. Welcome to the skies, let us know what happens and budget $$ to buy beer for us old "grey hairs" when you start dropping the "F-word"!

  16. 1) I loath websites that blast music at you when you simply surf to them. Anyway, yours doesn't. +1. If you want to add a clicky to "play music" fine, but my 2 cents is don't do it the other way around, blast music at folks and then force them to find the mute button. 2) Why no pictures of tandems on the tandem tab? Gearing up, in the plane, exit, freefall, under canopy, landing... just something to think of. Maybe a series of photos, top to bottom, on the left or right of the verbiage? Just a suggestion. Oh, and hot chick tandem passenger... smiles and cleavage... 3) Why no pictures of the folks on the Team tab? But you said you're working on that? 4) On the FAQ page, why a mix of English units and metric? "... We jump from 12000' AGL ..." and later " ... Many drop zones in New Zealand will not take over 100kgs, at Skydive Franz our modern equipment allows us to take up to 120kg ..."? 5) Why do y'all only go to 12,000ft AGL? Why not 12,500ft AGL? I've seen some experienced jumpers nut-up over that 500ft short fall. Serious. 6) Gallery... more photos! Exit shots, formations in freefall - belly & FF & wingsuit, folks under canopy, landing, semi-naked hot chicks partying, etc. But I'm sure that will come. 7) Like some others have said... why no tabs / info for experienced jumpers... aircraft, facilities - camping, bunkhouse?, staff, jump prices for up-jumpers, calendar of events - boogies, meets, etc., local attractions - places to eat, hotels? Or are y'all just a Tandem factory? If so, fine, but say so somewhere on your website... Up Jumpers Not Welcome. If that's the case. 8) Directions? Or is NZ so small, folks can just wander around the islands and find y'all?
  17. [Sarcasm] Oh, I don't know, Pzone, I've seen the 45deg rule work, but only when y'all get a committee of folks at the back of the plane arguing over whether or not the group that just left in front of them has reached 45deg yet... because they forgot their protractor... and it takes them a good 30 or more seconds to sort it out before deciding to just climb out and go... [/Sarcasm] But seriously, the 45deg rule is a bunch of bunk.
  18. Yeah, just make sure if its one of those pies that come frozen, that "they" thaw it out first! I saw someone's nose get broken once getting hit with a sitll frozen pie. And remember, "He who lives by the pie, dies by the pie!"
