I'm not Catholic so I'm giving up nothing. Even if I was though I probably still wouldn't give up anything. Too hard to make promises to myself that I know I won't keep. Same with New Year's resolutions. A little side note though. Last year a friend from work gave up drinking alcohol for Lent. Now, this was the same person who I went out drinking with all the time after work. So, today I asked him what he was giving up. This is how I feel about gifts. It just makes me feel really good about myself knowing that someone was thinking about me enough to send or write something. I love sending my friends who have moved away small, little gifts and letters sometimes from time to time. Last year. It was the best year of my life so far. Looking back on it made me realize just how good life can be. It is a good idea to stay in school. But, after 6 years in school, an MBA, and loans galore I feel like the benefits of a degree are taking way too long to take effect. I went on vacation to Oahu last June to visit some friends in the military. It was beautiful. I was only there for a week. But, it was one awesome week. Have fun living out there. "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."

Congrats! That's really awesome. You and your family must be so relieved. My 80-year old grandfather lives with my parents and I and it is so great to be able to see him everyday.

Pizzeria Regina has the best pizza. I have lived in this area my whole life and I just recently (about 2 years ago) discovered this place. All I thought when I went there was that I had been missing out all this time. Plus, the location is just a really cool part of the city. This is sad. However, I didn't watch him too much as a kid. My Dad (a little weird I guess) didn't like how he practically invited everyone in the neighborhood into his house and went to play with little puppets in the land of make believe.
