When I was a TM/I....taking spots from experienced jumpers... it was ok. Now that I have quit doing tandems, being bumped sucks.....but its a part of skydiving these days. I have never been bumped in a way that pissed me off enough to pitch a fit. To me, its just a little payback. bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever. Chicks dig scars.

PS, just dug out my old skylog#9 and the jump was really a 30 way on 10/29/83 at Ghoulidge out of the DC-4 from 14K and my jump # 1648. Those were the daze!! Somewhere someone has a picture of it?? It was outta Jim and Connie's DC-4 and from the ground the eye winked and the teeth chattered!!! I was on all those DC-4 loads. I got married the 28th and took my wife to the Halloween boogie for the Honeymoon. Now thats dedication bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever. Chicks dig scars.

Ive been on a couple of those.."get out" situations. Normarlly youre not going to be over the dz but somewhere out in the climbout. Youre gonna need that altitude to get back to the dz, or at least close. The idea is to get out and dump.
