    Damn , I've known jim for 30 years and jumped with him many hundreds of times , I never ever thought he would go out this way. We learned tandem together and as somebody posted earlier....he was rock solid , I learned a lot from his years of experience.. Go easy bro , you will be missed " bozo Pain is fleeting.     I met Don at one of the Old Farts SCR meets 15 years ago. He was a great guy then and I really enjoyed BSing with him. After jumping that first nite he brought out his old reel projector and films that dated from when I was in elementary school. Here I am in this little room with all these old white headed guys around me watching film from when they were young , with the slick back hair , ducktails and the like. I was overwhelmed to be among them and told Don this. He put his arm on my shoulder and said dont sweat it we were the same as you we just got here first.     Lisa , quitting skydiving , for me , was like giving up my life. My reasons werent the same as yours but I had the same concerns and bitches. I live by a small rural airport and the longing comes back everytime a 182 climbs out over my house. I wish you the best of luck and dont forget you still owe me a beer . bozo Pain is fleeting.     Ive been watching this thread since my "buy the golfclubs" advice and I didnt offer that advice without background......like Keith im a big guy , always have been and my body paid the price. The OP has his own ideas and wont be dissuaded by people with 1000s and 1000s of jumps that know the facts.     I have video around here somewhere of a jump with him at Mesquite NV with some of the Flying Elvi.... and Bozo.... we did build a 5 way around him... but he kinda sunk out when we went to the second point. That boy could FALL Thats an understatement. I jumped with Aubrey several times after that particular jump and it was always like chasing a tandem , sans drouge.     I made many hundred jumps on a hip replacement. Just be conservative in your canopy choice. The little tiny canopy isnt always gonna land you perfect.     Glitch, youre right...it wasnt the Thanksgiving boogie. I just dug out my logbooks, it was the Easter boogie. I was on that bigway jump also. Remember the guy flying the pink paraplane powered parachute all thru the landing area ? I will never forget that nut and his bright pink jumpsuit.'
