    Like already said, turn it till it beeps, but I would set mine on the way up to altitude.     Probably a simple step through. They can look weird. No sense trying to make sense of a description of what it kinda looked like. If the canopy is flying straight, slider down, it might steer and flare fairly normally, with just a little extra friction for the steering lines to work through, which of course can be dangerous.     The Swift 5 cell had an unusual brake lines setup. The Swift Plus does not. Also, the pack volume of a Swift Plus is not unusual.     The yellow cable is not teflon. The red cable is teflon, which reduces friction, except that it is not as stiff, meaning it will be bent more by the pressure of the white loop, thus increasing pull forces.     Please explain why the balloon would be in descent. Perhaps it is because they don't like to have sudden airspeed, it might deform the envelope. So if they are descending when you go, then the transition to upward airspeed means less maximum airspeed. Actually, I don't believe this at all but a balloon pilot I talked to said that the sudden loss of weight causes a lot of stress. Seems like it would not be very severe compared to some ascent/descent rates I have observed.     Tailgates are so easy to launch large RW formations, and to get everyone out quick. It is so nice to be able to get grips and get set without hanging on outside. While it can be fun to hang on outside a side door plane, it is more demanding of the jumpers to launch something, compared to what you have to get used to for a tailgate. Plus, it is so easy to launch weird stuff, like tubes, side by side interlocked tubes...
