Quite right! The war(s) continue, but the current result of the war is that Israel acquired some land, just as so many other countries have acquired it. 'Peace for land' has actually worked pretty well with Egypt. There will be peace in the middle east when there are more Arab leaders like Anwar Sadat, the Israelis are not the ones holding up a peace deal, it is the Arabs. Their goal is not peace, it is the extermination of Israeli Jews. Israel has shown time and again that it wants peace. As others have said, unfortunately we must not offend China, and are wary of them attacking the south if we attack the north, so that limits our conventional response. I say we bring them down from within, by infiltrating them with western pop-culture, make them realize what they missing, blue jeans, fast-food, fast cars, all the frivolous stuff that makes us so happy and decadent. When Israel tries 'peace for land' type agreements, it hasn't been getting the peace that was supposed to be the result, it just gets more war. Israel won the war that made it possible for them to build the settlements. Much, if not most of the world is living within the national boundaries established as the result of a war. I understand that the Arabs don't want to have to live with the result of how the wars were concluded, but they've made it clear they don't want to actually make 'peace for land' work, so tough shit to them. If the Arabs had won the wars, I don't think they'd be giving back anything. Sure, the CIA has lied. Pelosi is the one with the ever-evolving story this time. If she's telling the truth, then she lives concurrently in multiple universes. Why is that a source of pride? Seems to me like a stubborn unwillingness to accept what is obvious. There is more than enough information to be able to know. The fire was certainly hot, but the fire wasn't everywhere, why should it be a surprise that a passport from the plane could survive? It fits with other more mundane examples of items surviving similar circumstances. There is just so much information to counter the arguments of the conspiracy theorists, it is very easy to find and access. Many of the major points of contention have been addressed in a very complete way. The usual reaction from conspiracy advocates is not to counter the explanation for a previous point, but to bring up another trivial "question" that should be answered. After so many "questions" have already been addressed, the viability of the conspiracy theory approaches zero, can't you see that? Why is it that conspiracy theorists are only skeptical of the conventional explanation and not their conspiracy? Obama said he didn't want to look back or some such feel good such platitude, then proceeded to look back and blame Bush some twenty something times in a single speech. Obama correctly had a new hole ripped. Only 3 people waterboarded under tightly controlled circumstances, only after extensively trying other methods, and with crucial results. Cheney is completely justified to answer the finger pointing and expect the documents describing the results of the waterboarding be released. As you say, generally having a copy of the TSA policy should be enough, but I had an incident where it wasn't. The TSA guy claimed the policy was outdated, but of course wouldn't show me the new policy - they don't have to, they can decide whatever they want for each situation. He was going to make me open the main and reserve completely. I didn't do anything to attract this level of attention. My main point is that having a gear bag is a good back-up, and that we should keep our rigs out of sight (in a bag) so that nervous whuffos don't cause the TSA to want to revoke the policy completely. Street circuit racing suffers due to it being so hard to pass. That is one thing NASCAR does have on the others. I think the entire idea of pit stops ruins things. The performance in the pits is critical, but it isn't racing. If I wanted to see a pit stop competition, that would be a different event. Also, the fact that the timing of the pit stops relative to caution flags is so important detracts from the racing - it shouldn't be a factor, it isn't racing, it's luck. I think it would be better to have shorter heats run on one tank of fuel, with fewer cars in each heat leading up to a main event, much like some other types of racing. It sure would be a lot more exciting if the yellow flag didn't come out so often, it should be like motocross where they just have to deal with it! Well when the passport is from one of the hijackers on a plan that burst in to flames as it rammed in to a building it kind of makes you wonder. Like I said you are so sure of every thing I am not I don’t think I just magically know every thing to the point that questions are not allowed. we have seen what being 100% sure and not asking questions has done for us in the past 8 years. The real facts are that even in large explosions, there is a lot of 'surprising' stuff that survives the blast. We don't know exactly to where the passport was blown from the initial impact/explosion. If the presence of a passport is the best evidence of the conspiracy, then you got nothing except speculation based upon seat of your ass/armchair non-expert judgement. That is easy to say, but the TSA can easily require you to open both the main and reserve, they can require you to take the canopies out of the d-bag also. They can also tell you you're not taking it as carry on just because they don't want to without having to explain themselves to you at all. Plus, as I've described before, we are better off to not have whuffos know what we are carrying. Report Shows Air Quality Improved During Bush Administration

Who the heck would have made those claims of fault? Certainly wasn't made by the article the OP referenced. Why the need to change the subject? Ok.... so, how would damage to the BOTTOM of the building cause a collapse starting almost at the top of the building, pray tell? OK, he was a SEAL trained in demolition. SO FUCKING WHAT! I have no reason to think that Navy SEALS are trained in the demolition of buildings, it would likely mean they know how to use explosives as a special forces soldier would need to use them, which is only remotely the same as a building demolition expert. Not at all the same, I would think. How can people wonder why a passport would survive? WTF? Why is that surprising? Things get thrown and blown all over from all the floors during the collapse, but the presence of a passport or any other piece of paper is supposed to be important, give me a break! I believe the size guidelines are intended to match the underseat dimensions, the overhead bin dimensions might be much less generous depending on the plane. There is often a clear box of the designated dimensions that is near the gate desks. The airlines, if they want to, can require that your carry-on fit completely inside it, so adding up the dimensions (how mail carriers categorize the size) is not how it is enforced for airplanes. The airlines almost never enforce the actual restrictions, but they can. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. We pretty much never see buildings collapse except when they are planned, so we have nothing else for comparison. Also, the buildings did not fall directly down. They obviously didn't fall off to the side as much as they might have, but they definitely didn't fall straight down. Well said. I remember a while back Ventura was going on about how he believed in the 9/11 conspiracies. Whatever respect I had for him being a maverick was completely lost when I realized he was also a moron. I can't watch the youtube video, did he mention if he still believes in that crap? Even if he didn't want to do a tandem, just to come out to the DZ and hang out, he'd then just have to give in on his desire to not be there to see someone splat, that was just silly anyway. What did you have to lose in getting him out just to hang out. Once there, who knows if he might have done a jump. Also, plenty of people have good relationships with SOs that don't jump. It might be good for you if jumping isn't too all-consuming, don't you know? How is this thread going to stop a person that won't stop after you repeatedly (I would assume forcefully) decline offers/requests via PM? Unless you're willing to name that person(s), I don't see the point of this thread. You clearly asked for naked pics, did you really expect to not get a bunch of creepy responses? Nevermind my thought that it was probably a 777, the picture seems to show a substantial winglet, which I believe is still not available on 777s, so it was more likely a 747 People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. My memory is that if there is an unexplained loss of fuel, that will be spotted by software that calculates the total fuel delivered to each engine as measured by the flow meters and checks if that matches the amount that is left in the tank. If there is enough of a discrepancy, I think the pilots are supposed to close the crossfeed valves that tie all the tanks together (feed each engine from only the one wing on each side), thus allowing the pilots to identify which tank(s) are leaking. I am interested to know if they actually were proceeding with this sort of check, hopefully they were, it shouldn't have taken long though, so who knows??? A flight from Chicago to Japan was likely on United, very likely a 777 (definitely not a 767 with 300+ people), so they really should have known to trust the FQIS and not be tempted to think it was a false indication. For over 5 years I designed the flight deck switch panels (40 of the Boeing built panels such as on the overhead panel including the fuel management panel) for the Boeing 777, had a lot of interaction with the crew operations (the test pilot's group), and all of the various systems design groups. I got a lot of exposure to how the systems work and what the pilots are supposed to do about it. I also got a lot of exposure to how inaccurate the fuel quantity indication system (FQIS) was on the 767, for instance, when they were introduced into service. It was so bad that the airlines were allowed to consider it inoperative and still fly because it wasn't on the minimum equipment list (MEL) unless you go far over water. That led to the infamous dead stick landing on the abandoned Canadian air force base incident. There was a big effort to improve the accuracy of the 777 FQIS and have it there at the beginning of service, part of that was accomplished with a very different method of measuring the tank levels (different type of sensors/better software) from what been standard practice on all the other Boeing models. Anyway, yes I know a lot about this stuff, even though I'm not a pilot. My point was that the pilots really should not have made it sound like they might have proceeded if it hadn't been for the passenger's warning. I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt, but you never know. As soon as they had indications of unexplained fuel loss, they should have been looking at the wings themselves, and even if they couldn't see it (such as if it was a leak from a center tank or whatever), it sounds like they should have planned on a diversion well before they did. But of course the story may be misreported, and I'd like to believe in the pilot's judgment better than it has been reported. A refueling boom operator/passenger on a flight from Chicago to Japan noticed a fuel leak, and the pilots are crediting him for saving their ass. I would really like to think they would not have continued out over the ocean, they do admit they were trying to figure out why they were using so much fuel. Great job by the passenger for pointing out the leak, but the pilots should not have needed the help to realize they should not proceed, and should have realized what they were sort of admitting, "they would never have made it to Japan if it wasn't for him." Perhaps the fuel quantity indication systems are so reliably unreliable that they would not have payed enough attention to what it was telling them. http://aero-news.net/index.cfm?ContentBlockID=276ba7c1-b28b-435d-bd81-4dc97c49ae2d& People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired.
